Pixels look beautiful. I feel like the portraits and high-resolution text clash with the pixel-style of the game, though. I know it'll be a lot of work to make the message system the same resolution as the background, but honestly, it is quite off-putting :( I think you'd get more people to play your game if the message boxes matched the art style of the rest of it.

I can see what you mean. I know that bust style and overworld style being different is a controversial decision and i can see it putting people off.
For now I have no intention of changing it because my skills at making a pixel bust are far inferior(I actually wanted the pixel busts to begin with) than making these higher res busts.
I will however keep it in mind as I progress with the game.
