CRTHIBODEAU'S PROFILE

Astrophysicist in Texas.

I decided to re-visit my old RPG projects from high school and college to touch them up and release them to the world.

I haven't been in touch with the RPG Maker community since Don Miguel was running the show.

The red/clear sky here also detracts from the snow effect. It actually reads a bit more like falling volcanic ash.

Wow, what is going on here? Light flurry at sunset? The red light reads well.

Though what's weird is that you'd expect a more uniform cloud cover with that kind of weather. Is it a magic ice effect?

Honestly, I'd take off the transparency. It's supposed to make it look like they're treading through the terrain, but that effect is not conveyed here. It doesn't even read as them walking through a light floor mist, although that would have been boss.

Also, I hope the whirlpools are not a finalized design choice. Are they just a placeholder?

Someday, in the far future, maybe I'll redesign the graphics from the ground up.
Music too, if I'm feeling ambitious (I won't be).

Congrats on getting that far!

To find the list of locations, go upstairs in Dzogden's house. One of the shelves has a list of all the chicken locations, so you can make your own checklist.

If the mute farmhand is still in front of the shelf, then go put Dzogden on your team and come back to talk to him.

Excellent Thwomp treatment.

I wrote you a message asking you to explain a bit more. I don't know if this is a glitch or a particular point in the game where you can't change them.

Damn, this brings me back.

These images were sized down to 1/4 from their original RPG95 counterparts. That's why they've got that low-res-but-anti-alias quality. It's a little more obvious in this picture because of the white background, but yes, this is endemic throughout the game. I'm sorry if it takes away from your enjoyment.

The chipset was adapted from RPG95, where sprites were one tile tall. It does look wonky, doesn't it?
