CRTHIBODEAU'S PROFILE

Astrophysicist in Texas.

I decided to re-visit my old RPG projects from high school and college to touch them up and release them to the world.

I haven't been in touch with the RPG Maker community since Don Miguel was running the show.

From the editor, I took multiple screen caps and stitched them together. I never enjoy doing it that way, but it's the only way I can think of.

Clam Digger

Brilliant.

Is a 3rd installment in the works?
Definitely not. Not sure where to take the story and my undergrad/grad/research work is too time-consuming.

I found the secret dungeon, very cool.
Which one? ;)

Hmm, maybe I should go back to my Game Journal and ensure that it refers to the correct step.

Go back to Prem, and talk to Kamiko (in the throne room). He'll talk about a guy in town who has an airship. Hope that helps.

Okay. The battle has been updated. Now, none of the knights will cast any spells (when you encounter them later in the game they'll have their spells again).

I playtested the boss fight using four level-9 characters, wearing equipment typical of this point in the game. Loki stood out as the challenge, instead of the Knights. Nobody died after the first barrage from the enemies, so I think this was a successful update.

If you install over your current version, the battle should be updated.

Thanks for your input.
I was not planning to update the game again, but I do know where you guys are coming from. So I can make a small change, certainly. Level 9 seems too low for the Loki fight, but level 18 is definitely higher than my intent.

Without going into too much detail, I can't add a new monster type. But I do have a plan.

You guys will definitely fight Loki again, but nothing is quite so infuriating as that second encounter, so I hope that provides some relief.

Super RMN Bros. 3

So far so good... I've gone through the lengthy (but informative) intro level, and most of the World 1 levels.

They're all quite impressive, but I'm getting pretty pissed off by the Minecraft level. It's difficult to tell what's foreground and what's background. I've been killed multiple times because I was unable to dodge enemies and bullets because of ceiling blocks that look like background. Having Ninji that jump all the way to the ceiling, where that will damage someone standing on top of one, is pretty uncool too.

Super RMN Bros. 2

I have a new laptop. Not exactly high-end, but still much better than my 7-year-old desktop I was using before.

Still experiencing lag in Aquatic Fortress. So much so that I've attempted to fight the boss about 15 times so far, and the only two times I've won was when I died at the same time, presumably from a bomb going off on me, but of course I can't tell because I'm lagged to hell. Of course, this means I actually DIDN'T win, and have to try again. Still attempting as we speak, and my strategy has been to pop bubbles as fast as possible so they don't fill the screen and lag me to (literal) death.

I guess what I'm saying is: for RMN Bros 3, please don't have any rooms or levels that get completely saturated with actors. This boss battle would have gone much smoother if, say, the bombs spawned on the screen at about half the frequency.

Edit: the "debug door" glitch is still in the beginning of the level.

Necropolis

Even though the download took less than a minute, the anticipation was torture!

Puzzle and Map solutions

Hello all. For anyone who's interested, I've added a complete map/walkthrough of the final boss's lair. Outside of the obvious, I've tried to minimize spoilers. So if the last lair is driving you nuts, go check out the maps!
