The Original Soundtrack for Takuto: Songs for the Week
As a method of getting my music "out there", I'll be releasing a 3 track mini-compilation for the soundtrack that I've been working on now for 3 years. :-)
The first disc to go through is entitled 'Takuto OST 1'. (You can see where I'm going with this)

The Fruit of Life
- If you've seen Takuto, you know it's the very first song that plays within the series. Entitled "The Fruit of Life", it was a song that would play as it would show just how crappy Takutos life has been for the last 4 years. The very first comic was a slideshow made in The Games Factory. This was the first time (I think it was...June of 2005) the song was used.
I'm sure that you'll get the drift. It's jolly, happy, tra-la-la-la, things couldn't be any better music for juxtupositions sake.
Freedom Speaks Version 2
- This was originally the second opening for the series, though I moved it to the first as the second one is really shoujo-ish/cutesy. It will probably work better once you're 13 episodes in and have already absorbed the overall feeling of the osts. There have been 18 Versions done of this song since August 2008. This version was cut down / is more mellow than the rock versions that I've tried for.

- Actually, within the behind-the-scenes rns files that were done this was the 8th take, so it's actually the 8th version. I just had to entitle it as the 1st as it is probably the closest I will ever get to having a pretty full sound right off the bat.

Takuto (Indie Cartoon/Anime Series)
Updated. This may have to be moved to the artwork board as I'm leaning towards storyboards only now. After Episode 4 you'll find I finally purchased a tablet.
I've finally gotten the first 4 episodes of what I am turning into an "Independent American Anime".
After Episode 4 the series goes completely into storyboard format, though it keeps it's music. The experience should be much like reading a book.
You'll see that the opening is in storyboard format, along with (starting at episode 5) the episodes themselves. I've just recently purchased a tablet and am able to now release up to 2 minutes each day hopefully totaling 1 full Anime Episode every 2 weeks.
If I can keep this up I should be able to finish the 72 episode series in a shorter time than 2 years. By that time I should be able to give a try at getting it produced.

Well, no matter what the reception, I've always wanted to release this here. So here it goes....
Takuto (Series)
Takuto is an AnimatedMovie Series created with RPG Maker featuring custom artwork and music, a pretty in depth story. The visual format is 2d rpg pixel-like characters with hand-drawn cutscenes. Forgive my visual artwork (inconsistency and lack of skill), I am not the best; I am still a student.
A couple things to note before you watch!
There have been a great number of games that either fall into the category of "Dark" or "Comedy" though few in between (and I'm not saying that that's a bad thing). I've seen loads of stories and games that focus mainly on saving a dark dark world. If this is the kind of story you want to get into, you may have to look elsewhere.
My main inspirations are those that have a love for Anime. I'm looking to connect with those that have a love for bright blue skies, cute characters and comedy but also have an edgey taste for shounen battling such as in Naruto, Pokemon or Shaman King.
Those that have a hate for Japanese Anime, for Bright blue skies, rainbows and fuzziness I have to at least try to request that you look elsewhere. There are plenty of games among other projects that have the stories that you are looking for.

A couple things to note before you watch!

Takuto Part 14: "You Don't Know What It's Like" (Battle Theme)
It's not too great directing wise, it may seem a little chessy, but I worked really hard on that particular song. x_x
I've always just wanted to compose for something like this...
By the way I've gotten reports of it not working on certain browsers on certain operating systems. Right now I'm using 2 computers to test, both using Firefox with the Windows Media Player plugin installed. The problem is that this plugin potentially makes people restart their computers to install which is a huuuuuge no no.
I'm just using Windows Movie Maker to glue everything together. I have Pinnacle Studio, bought it for $100, and then it ended up not working in many many ways.
Pinnacle really has to fix that software or something...

Hurrah for Webcomics. These will be the parts in where I need more time to come up with a Video Part. They are fillers, usually of a comedic nature. Hope you enjoy. :-)
