jin69Meterstorm - APPROVED!
-Good solution to the design issue!

Maelstorm - APPROVED!
- I like the new color scheme. It's much more fitting for a water type alien octopus thing!

Littlefoot - APPROVED!
- Merging the space as not to break the 10 char limit, otherwise nothing wrong with it.

- Is that its tongue sticking out? D'aww!

Bigfoot - denied
- Only because it has two possible ability combinations, while its pre-evo only had one. Either give this guy one ability, or give your pre-evo two as well.

JayjeAthravein
Atmana - APPROVED!
- I'm glad hypnosis was removed, though as I mentioned in my post earlier, I think psywave will actually be okay, as it doesn't take into account STAB, making confusion actually worse in this case, so I'm going to change confusion back to psywave, unless you oppose of this change.

matthewac95
Phim - APPROVED!
- Perfect! Nothing to say here!

Maryphim - APPROVED!
- any move learned at level 1 is treated as the "starting" move, so It actually might learn Lunar Dance upon evolving into this... I think.

seiromem
Pupessio - APPROVED!
- Confused about the design at first, but now I see its sort of fitting.

Daenstrum - APPROVED!
- I'm guessing its habitat and egg group are exactly the same as Pupessio, right?

michadude9
Cubam - denied
- Pretty sure half of those moves aren't from my TM list. Look in the reference section, under "List of TM/HM/Tutor Moves Available" and select from there.

- Kind of 'meh' on this thing learning low kick at level 38. That move's damage is based on its opponents weight. I think body slam is a suitable replacement, but this whole comment is just a nitpick.

- I like the idea and design!

Thunbear - APPROVED!
- I wouldn't deny this guy Close Combat compared to its pre-evo, but that's your call.

ShadowPrince89
Tangzzp - denied
- Since this pokemon can supposedly dance, why not give it a few dancing moves, like Teeter Dance or something? Add that to even out its movepool a little bit and I'll approve.

Mirrory - denied
- Eehhh... Try to make the design even LESS human if you can, especially since it doesn't seem to belong in the humanshape egg group. That's about the only reason why I'm denying this.

Fairest - denied
- Really lacking in information. I still want a visual as to how it looks like, does it change typing or keep the same? Does it even keep the same abilities and movepool? You didn't specify whether it does or not.

---------------------------------------
Alright, going to do some more type statistics based on what is approved so far, and this time I am not counting the starters:

Pure Normal - 1
Half Normal - 3
Pure Fighting - 0
Half Fighting - 5
Pure Grass - 0
Half Grass - 7 (Note: 4 of these belong to one evo line)
Pure Fire - 3
Half Fire - 5
Pure Water - 2
Half Water - 6
Pure Electric - 4
Half Electric - 5
Pure Rock - 0
Half Rock - 10
Pure Steel - 5
Half Steel - 5
Pure Dark - 0
Half Dark - 9
Pure Psychic - 3
Half Psychic - 8
Pure Fairy - 2
Half Fairy - 1
Pure Poison - 0
Half Poison - 7 (Note: 4 of these belong to one evolutionary line)
Pure Ground - 2
Half Ground - 6
Pure Flying - 0
Half Flying - 5
Pure Bug - 0
Half Bug - 8
Pure Ghost - 1
Half Ghost - 11
Pure Dragon - 1
Half Dragon - 4
Pure Ice - 2
Half Ice - 10

And here is where I'll unfortunately begin denying based on type. We currently have WAY too many ghost, rock, and ice Pokemon, so I am going to start doing some rejections based on type at this point. If you are working on a submission that starts off as something else but turns into one of these types via evolution, however, I'll be okay with it. The sections I marked in orange are those I won't deny, but are getting close, and the sections I marked in blue are those I think could use some attention right now. I also noted that the amount of Poison types we have is a bit misleading because 4 of them are part of the same evolutionary line, same with grass.

Pokémon RMN Version

My last attempt on this guy.

Maybe you can upgrade the sprite to look better Ratty :)

Pokémon RMN Version

OK! How about now??

I recolored him but I have no idea to fix them flatness?? It's what I saw from his drawing but maybe someone would like to edit the sprite?
It looks flat because it's lacking in three-dimensions. Obviously it's a flat image, but you can still create the illusion of 3-dimensions with its lighting and perspective.

Your main light source is kind of confusing, because it seems like you have on in the upper right-hand corner pointing at the ball, and then another shining towards the Pokemon's belly, and a light one at the left shining towards the tail. 3rd gen pokemon sprites have their light sources shining from the upper left-hand corner. Because yours is so unfocused and it is not really being used to describe the form, that is why it looks flat to me.

author=Link_2112
Ok, when I have time I'll grab some and let you know which ones I'll do. If you do any more, let me know, so we're not doing the same thing.
I'm going to start the base level starter pokemon pretty soon, so sure thing!

Ok I think I get it now

Zeuzio, here is Zhilong. I gave it a shot.

Its kind of lacking in form, it looks way too flat. The outlines are very dark for R/S/E style, and isn't it supposed to be red?

@Link: I welcome you to help me out with these sprites! Here is what I already have done so far:
- Front view of Batnic
- Front view of Bologoo
- Front view of Pozitron

The following sprites are done by their creators and I'm using in the game on the account that they look excellent:
- Front view of Skrewpent
- Front view of Seradder
- Front and Back view of Vukanylos
- Front and Back view of Demine
- Front and Back view of Diablode

... So yeah, any help is appreciated xD

---------------------

On a side note, I did a quick, tentative sketch of the region's map. Please let me know if there is anything you don't like or want me to change, or input your own ideas!

The image is huge, so here is a link:
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j114/ratty165/RMNPoke_Regionmap001.png~original

Because some things on this map may not be clear:
- "The Other Cycling Road" is meant to be an abandoned cycling road that was shut down due to numerous accidents. Its the primary home of several freaky ghost pokemon.

- Around Route 3 I plan for some sort of obstacle to get in the players way of progressing to route 4, which explains why the path branches to the side towards Newprodge city (also where the first gym is encountered). Route 8 has a similar method, which is also why there is a South and North entrance to Bitroar Cave.

- Mt. Cavora is aptly named after seiromem's legendary, and is the primary spot that it'll be encounterd, assuming seriomem doesn't decide to pull his entry.

- Starsteal City is meant to be on a floating landmass, with clouds you can walk on. Makes sense iknorite?

- Route 6 is meant to be a swampy area, to accomodate to the submissions. I (tried to) indicated it with blotches of water and skinny trees.

- While I unconsiously drew a mini-smoke effect over Mt. Cavora, it's meant to be an inactive volcano covered in snow, to make room for the Ice-type Pokemon. I'm thinking the cave of the area would start icy-themed, while as you venture deeper towards the volcano's core, it would become hotter.

As far as the whole type data is concerned, I really think we need to slow down on the steel and rock types, and definitely include more normals at this point.I don't expect the type roster to be completely balanced at this point, heck not even the games were that diverse (remember how there were NO pure rock types in gen 1?), but we could just be aware of it and make room for a few unused types for this event. I'm working on a pure normal type right now, as well. It'll be based off of Persian cats. :D

It looked pink to me... I was copying what I saw from the drawing lol. That pokemon wasnt easy to transfer like a sprite but eh i tried lol

Zeuzio, here is Zhilong. I gave it a shot.

Well that was easy. I've already done the data for one of the 4 beats, but I don't have any images yet.

Would I just be able to submit a data sheet for now, just so you, Ratty could look over it and work on fankenstining a sprite for it latter?
Meh, I'd prefer to have some sort of guidance. I haven't even got a quarter of the approved Pokemon fully sprited yet. >_>
HEY! I would love to help sprite people's Pokemons! That sounds like fun :D Well, if you guys like how mine Pokemon sprites came out, I don't mind helping.
Good luck with mine, if you end up spriting them. <_<

I gotta say, I was worried about how some of them would translate to sprites(Libraphant and Zhilong, mostly).

Ill give yours a shot Zeuzio, if u want? :)
