@Ratty: How ironic that you appear as an anonymous python when you're looking at my doc :P
lmao!

Antipode - APPROVED but still take a look...
- Just letting everyone know that I talked with Jin about this privately. It definitely fits as the "bonus legendary" that could be found separately from the main two. In that regard, it's approved.

- As a result, however, I'd like for you to choose between Cloud Nine or Pure Power as its ability, instead of having both. Legendaries have one ability because it's suggested that they are the only ones of their kind in existence, so I can't imagine being multiple controllers of the atmosphere running around to justify its two possible abilities.

Megamouth - APPROVED
- Everything wrong with it was fixed.

Heatha - APPROVED
- Only thing I don't really like is its ridiculously high levels for evolution, but I guess it could stand out in that sort of way...

Meterain - denied
- Denied mainly for its habitat. You say it appears "everywhere"? Okay, I'll put this in the water for the player to fish, or the trees... In all seriousness that field is there to tell me where to put it in the game, so take it seriously.

- I think its design could use some glowing eyes in one of its craters, but that's your call.

Bart_Sol
Ephemin - APPROVED
- I like how you went above and beyond what's required to really leave no detail behind in this submission.

- However, the TM list I gave you in the reference section is the one that's going to be used in the game, not necessarily list of the official games. That was kind of important because I made sure every move in that list actually works in Pokemon Essentials. "Payback", for instance, does not. As all of this is only evident in your Manual moves, though, I won't deny this submission, but I will remove the invalid moves.

Ephemeron - APPROVED
- Same comments above apply here.

Astragon - APPROVED
- Minus the manual move issue this is still a good submission. I like the shinies as well!

Seiromem
Caltrap - APPROVED
- Solid overall. One of your better designed Pokemon, too!

Tricalp - APPROVED
- I knew this thing would get Tri-attack! I think you could maybe buff it's attack and defense stats a little, but that's totally your call.

Carvora - denied
- You need to specify its manual moves. Even legendaries have that!

- I'm guessing the reason you left out information as to what move it learns at what level because the level at which it appears is unspecified, right? While this isn't a HUGE deal-breaker with me, in the games most legendaries are encountered anywhere between level 50 through 70, but eeeeh I still need to do a bit more planning with this game. >_<

- For your signature move, Imbibe, I would also like to know its accuracy, PP, and whether it is a physical or a special move.

michadude9
Are you pulling Tornment? Aw. It only had a few issues with it that you could fix! I hope you don't do the same with the issues I'm denying here, especially because I like Plugla.
Leoperma - APPROVED
- Dex entry is kind of boring, but it's nothing I can't work with.

Permafang - denied
- Its species is "field"?

- The dex entry is the same as the pre-evo! Change it!

- You could touch up the design a little bit to make it more distinguishable from its pre-evo.

Plugla - denied
- Here is the good: I love its design and it looks really unique!

- Here is the bad: Its level-up moves are WAY too sparse, plus there is a power spike around the halfway point of its moves. It gets Thunderbolt at around level 10! Try adding in a few more moves to its arsnal, and don't give it exceptional moves like Thunderbolt too early. Thundershock can work in bolt's place here.

- The manual moves need diversity as well. Your Pokemon isn't Wobbuffet, give it a movepool!

Totemvolt - denied
- Again you did not give this a unique dex entry compared to its evo. Also, think about how it uses those eletrical chords, or something other than a description about its facial expression.

- I don't agree with Iron Tail on this, unless you want to make those plugs its tails.

mordenglory
Miceberg - APPROVED
- Nothing about its design says it can learn Drill Run, but I think its evolution can pull it off well.

Volice - APPROVED
- I'd put Drill Run here in place of Magnitude. Magnitude itself has such varying levels of power that it is better suited as a move it learns earlier on. Otherwise, these are both solid submissions.

matthewac95
Marubim - APPROVED
- Thanks for clearing things up about this guy!

Ratty thanks and sorry. You can put cloud nine for Antipode and if you want you can change Heatha's evolution

Heatherain- 40 and Heaven - 60

And for Meterain I will give him red eyes it was exactly my original idea. :D

I downloaded some of the approved entries, with the hopes that I can look at them and figure out this pokeymans thing.

I hope your joking?

Hero's Realm is being ripped off by another individual

Talking about rip off... Didn't you rip off sprites and chipsets and than you decided to rename them as if people are dumb? Just saying. Maybe that person inspired by your game just like you got inspired by the games you ripped off! Be a role model.

This is NOT an in-game screenshot, but it's an image file that came with PE's default that shows the exact layout and dimensions of the default battle system, and I just put in Blob's sprite along with the one for Batnic roughly were they may appear in a double-battle situation in-game.

I'm showing you this because, and this may not be an issue to you, due to the fact that you filled up the 160x160 space very well, your pokemon will look a lot larger than what you might intend it to be in the game. Just wanted you to be aware of this.

That looks cool!
So the limit is 160x160?

Some sort of fish as not a lot of people are submitting any sea-born Pokemon yet.
I can fix that.

So will I!

What about EV stats? Does essentials have that?
It indeed does, but I didn't require it because the method for adding them is very simple. You put 1-3 points total on a stat that the Pokemon is highest in, and you split them if both of its highest stats are the same value. Because of this, it's not important at all to include EV distribution in your submission.

author=Blobofgoo
Should we design shiny versions of our pokemon?

If you like, sure! Otherwise I just make the shiny versions myself.
-------------------------------------

Zeuzio
Trunklift - APPROVED
- Doing a second comparison, grass knot is fine. Can't wait to see what you do with its evolution!

Zhilong - APPROVED
- I assume you still want Candle Blast to be a multi-hit move, right? You didn't really specify it in your re-submission.

Mordenglory
Bulvine - denied
- Recieving Giga Drain at level 27 is a little bit over-powered. It's among the most powerful leeching moves in the game. I think Mega Drain is a suitable replacement, and you could probably replace Needle Arm with Giga Drain, because it has no real "arms" to begin with.

- Is "open meadows" the same as "grasslands"? The thing to keep in mind is that the "habitat" field contains mostly general terms as to how your pokemon appears in the game. Do you find it by walking in tall grass (grasslands), a cavern (caves), inside a building (buildings), surfing or fishing in water (water), or by using Headbutt on a tree (treetops)?

Biseed - denied..?
- Only because again, I think Giga Drain shouldn't be learned around the level 20s. This mainly depends on how you adjust your pre-evos moves, because other than that I don't see anything wrong here.

Catylx - semi-denied
- The pokemon that learn Needle Arm actually have arms, again.

- I say "semi-denied" because there is truly not much wrong with it, but there is a balancing issue between this evo and Troxin that I want you to address, and I don't know if that means editing Catylx's stats here. See below.

Troxin - denied
- Overall this evolution, in its current state, is pretty worthless for something you need to go out of your way to obtain (figuring out that Biseed has an evo with a stone, getting that stone, then evolving it at a good level). It's base Special Attack is lower than its pre-evo, and you only slightly increased the attack and defense stats compared to the other final evo, Catylx. Worse is how you really don't give it a lot of physical moves to capitalize on this change. If I were playing, I'd pick Catylx over this thing without question.

- Here is a suggestion on how to address this. Take off some of its points in special defense and put it into its attack, without going lower than its pre-evo in the SpDef area. I'd consider taking a few points off of its speed stat as well and placing it maybe towards its HP, as the 74 base Defense stat gives it a solid weakness. I just feel that if you are going to do a branch evolution, you should each final form worth something, and distinguishable from the other.

jin69
Firigon and Lupus - denied
- Sorry I didn't catch this sooner, but you forgot to put a number for the "HP" field under the base stats of both of these submissions. At this point I can add that to your notepad once you tell me and both will be approved.

Jparker1984
Gustling - denied
- Most pokemon based on birds aren't pure flying types, usually normal/flying. This is sort of nitpicky of me, though.

- For this and your next entry, you forgot to put in the egg group. I'd like to know it so I know what it pairs with breeding.

- I'd give around 10-15 more points in its special attack stat to support its special pool a bit more. It will still be low, but not THAT low!

- The moves it learns at level-up is a little bit too limited. I'd add 3 or 4 more moves past the level it evolves.

Swantweet - denied
- The possible ability combo you give in this entry is inconsistent with its pre-evolution. If the pre evo can only have one ability, then the evolved form must have one ability as well, or the opposite can work.

- Looks a bit more like a parrot to me than a swan. What's it based off of?

Blobofgoo
Skrewpent- APPROVED
- U-turn is typically learned by flying or generally speedy Pokemon, and neither is the case for this guy.

- Why no moves past the level it evolves? I guess you can point to some examples (like the caterpie family), but usually it's done for the Pokemon to fit a specific role in the game.

- As these are mostly minor complaints, it's still approved, but I think it could be a little better.

Miricle
Demine - denied
- Awesome sprite work, dude!

- I KNOW you told me to "feel free to make any changes you like", but that sort of defeats the point and there is one problem with this submission that is preventing its approval. The move "Payback" doesn't work at all in Essentials, and I don't know if you want it removed or changed or what, so I'd like to hear from you, as I personally don't want to leave a great submission like this in the dust.

Diablode - APPROVED
- Love it to pieces! We need another Pokemon based off a bomb that isn't Electrode.

Desmo360
Pozitron - APPROVED
- Only nitpick I have is that the design is tad bit on the plain side. I still like the concept of this, however. Maybe the magnets could be bigger and made to look more like "devices" to restrain the Pokemon and keep it from blowing up.

michadude9
Tornment - denied
- I'll say it again, the only moves from Gen 6 that allowed are the Fairy moves I listed in the reference section. You listed Phantom Force twice in your set of level-up moves, by the way. Please stick to Gen 5 or lower.

- It doesn't really look like a steel type! Maybe edit its claws to look less like salad fingers and more metallic?

Ratty, I sent you a message regrading the HP of all three of my Pokemons.

I love the spriting style.

He didn't make that, that's from Live a Live.

In my opinion:
  • Echeel should be steel/water
  • Vulkanylos should be fire/rock
  • Zapasp/Venohm color schemes seem like water/poison, I suggest a change in color scheme to make it support the details.

Just opinions from one person. Remember that.

I agree!

So no, pick one of the listed. Go to the link for a list of egg groups.

So guys... I'm a bit confused... In the species section, I can put whatever name I want??? Cause I thought it had to go with the fire, dragon, water, leaf, etc. Also for Egg Group and Habitat, what are the options?
Type is where you use Normal, Fighting, Rock, Ghost, Steel, Bug, Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Flying, Poison, Psychic, Dark, Ice, Dragon, Ground, or Fairy.

Species is sort of what your pokémon was based on, i.e.: Charmander is a Lizard Pokémon, Squirtle is a Tiny Turtle Pokémon, etc.

There is no list, you make it up yourself.

Thanks, so I can make up the habitat and egg group also?
