Version 1.2.1 is up!
author=Cap_H
No worries, I'll just move my save to the new version.
Five uses, then. No wonder I'm out of Butchers all the time.
As there's no grinding per se, resource/demon managing took priority and 5 seemed not too low or too high considering the drop rates. It is also not stated, but the same sand used to summon a demon can be used to heal that particular demon, hence the stric limit. You will notice, regardless, that it gets noticeable more manageable after getting certain demons. That If I don't completely ruin the experience with more bugs. T__T Thanks, really, for your patience.

I tried your other game on that laptop and it lags too. I think it just might have difficulties to run parallel processes or pictures in general. Or maybe it's the compiler you use, which messes it up. It runs vx games smoothly otherwise.
But I read piano's review and my issue is identical. The lag goes up, when your health goes down.
But I think I learned the game enough to avoid most of it.
I encountered another bug, tho. The boss in the dungeon with butchers defeated me the first time i encountered it and now I can't interact with it or encounter it (I got the mirror meanwhile as well). The event is possibly broken.
And one gameplay question. When do I lose sands? Is it a particular number of uses or is there another condition as well?
From what I could gather, the official versions of both programs lag way more than the unofficial ones. I remember my previous laptop ran RPG Maker VX/Ace and XP all without issues but lagged the hell out on Rm2k/Rm2k3 Steam versions. On my testings, performance was the same with and without the compiler. T_T
From what I know from those who played "Heroic Tale", they didn't seem to have problems either with the game, I believe, so again, I have no clue.
I'm sorry I can't be of any help.
Now, the other bug you mention that's completely my fault!! I'm fixing and uploading right now.
All enemies "sands" have 5 uses, besides those from two particular enemies, which are unlimited (one of them being the boss from the bug, actually).
I'm truly sorry for not identifying that bug earlier.
EDIT: Update 1.2.1 is up. Thanks a lot Cap_H!!

Playing the updated version on an older laptop (1gb ram) right now and it starts lagging every time I lose health or stamina.
I'm really sorry for that. Neither the old nor the new version lagged on my laptop (it's like 6 years old or more, although beffier than 1gb ram). Just yesterday I found out about the oldest version having issues on Windows 10. Which was funny because both laptops are identical, literally, just different OS. Last time I tested after redoning everything and updating it was working just fine, so I'm again clueless, as I'm guessing you can run other (official) Rm2k3 games without problems, right?

Thanks for the quick reply!
There are only two parallel processes working at the same time, one controlling the health and energy bar and the other some other random stuff, as I was aware that abusing that cause these type of problems.
The way I setted was meant to use just 2 pictures for bar that overwrites as the health goes up and down. Maybe there was something wrong about the way I made the conditional branchs work.
I'll look more closely to see if there's something else it can be causing this issue!
EDIT: I might have found where the issues originated. Thanks a lot for the insight! Hope the newer version fixes the problem (it seems to have got rid of the sttuter and lag on Windows 10).

Just... WHOAH!
First and foremost, a HUGE thank you for writing a review for the game. I'm beyond flattered and grateful to your words!! Trust me when I say I really wasn't even anticipating something like this!
Now, I'm also terribly concerced about the glitch you mentioned, specially when it's caused by something it was added just to give a little more flavor to the aesthetics.
I have access to two computers with similar SPECS, one running Windows 7 while the other runs Windows 10. I never noticed anything close to lag on the first, but after reading your review, I tried to test the game a bit more extensively on Windows 10. And... there you go, the problem was present and exactly as you mentioned. Not only that, there's also extra loading times here and there, something that I wasn't aware at all as it never happened on the other OS.
I'm totally clueless about how to fix it and why it's only showing up when the HP/EP bars are lower than maximum! I believe the way the OS handles the program has something to do with it as well, but maybe the way I evented it worsened the problem.
Once again, thank you for your review and sorry that you have to endure this performance issue! Although not game breaking (to some extent), after experiencing it, I agree on what you said that it really, really deters from the enjoyment.

[MUSIC - FREE (CLOSED FOR NOW)] I'm looking for projects to make music for.
author=Mirak
I have difficulty doing music for nothing in specific, I've tried but I only get as far as 5 or 6 tracks before I lose sense of what I am even doing. I prefer having a clear intention and objective towards what I'm making. I don't know how to explain it.
I think many people can relate to that! Writing, composing or designing for an specific project I would say is much more inspiring and fulfilling! Your tracks sound great by the way! Hope to get the chance of working with you in the future!

This game would be better if it actually saved properly, for some reason, the game doesn't retain my save after closing it.
Hey RPGFan28! You're the first to point out this issue. After saving, there should be another file (Save01.lsd) in the folder you're supposedly running the game. It works on my end, I'm running Win7. Gonna try in a few on a different computer.
EDIT: I've just tried to run the same file uploaded here on a different laptop with Win10, latest updates and all, no RPG Maker/RTP whatsoever installed and the game saves (and loads) with no issues.

I'm glad you like the world! My games shares the same universe so each game adds and builds a little bit upon it. Creatures and characters might pop up again in other games.
This is exactly the approach I like the most. I'll definitely be checking more of your current and future projects! ^^

Hey Momeka!
Just wanted to commend you on this little game. I, somehow, managed to beat it (not aftersome many a lot of frustrating attempts).
I loved the graphics and general ambiance of the game, and the music put everything else together in a fantastic way. It all really felt coherent, and that's probably one of the aspects I enjoyed the most. Also, I'm not the greatest fan of puzzles but these were super smart and original.
Perhaps, due to not being the most skilled type of player, I found the battle system a bit infuriating. As the game is very short, the learning curve is very strict, so only after several tries I figured out how everything worked. It felt a bit cheap at times and having to go through everything everytime I failed (the battles, not the puzzles) was a bit of pain, specially because there's no way to heal our little space hero. Early mistakes will doom the rest of the playthrough, for sure. Again, this might be due to my lack of skill. On the other hand, the battle system itself it's nicely designed and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy it (not considering how intimidating might feel at times).
Once I finished, I really was left wanting to know more about this small universe you created (perhaps not so much about the possible fights you would put us into, though, lol). Sorry for this unsolicited mini-review! If only I wanted to let you know my thoughs, congratulate you for this amazing job and maybe encourage other people to try it! ^^
