I see. I for one welcome our new overlords.

RMN Closing Down April 2nd

this is very unfortunate =( rmn is like the only rpgmaker site i ever go to and constantly check on a daily basis. this site really has alot of talent, i'm always seeing something new and never ceased to be amazed. i suppose all good things must come to an end. =*(

So, Final Tear 3

author=Jericho
author=Corfaisus
Just noticed this, but yeah, you guys are relentless fucking asses. I didn't care for the game at all, but you just won't learn to drop your immature shit before this kind of thing happens.

Grow up.

Also, the website won't allow me to download the game from there as the connection is apparently pretty weak. Never had this problem here.
http://rpgmaker.net/games/2580/reviews/1212/

hmm you could say that corfaisus can't really talk but this is a critique you're entitled to say what you want, it's just your straight up opinion. the difference between this and the rude remarks about final tear 3 is that those remarks aren't in a critique nor is the creator really being criticized seriously, he's just being made fun of which isn't cool.

so boo at the guys and gals being dicks

10guysandgalsbeingdicks

i'm going to bed now =/

Most people here except something close to a game who which you can buy in stores. I think that a lot of people are too spoiled here with all them games.
People here don't expect games to be like store-bought games. Do you think any of us are capable of creating a game with the graphics of FF XIII? However, we do expect some level of quality from even freeware games. Story, gameplay, mapping...these are all things that are within our control. Thus, there's no real excuse for having ugly maps, incoherent dialogue, and boring battles.

EDIT: Do you understand why people don't like the first few hours of the game? We're not just talking out our asses here...
Ok you're absolute right about that, but I don't think that these are the things that are a problem of the game right now.

Well the dialogue that is something I cannot do anything about it in the first place because I'm not native English. So that's a thing that you have to take with you. I could have also made the game in dutch but then nobody would understand it. That does not mean that I will not improve the dialogue, there is someone going trough it and if others want to look at is as well they are free to do so.

The story that is something that someone who played 1% cannot judge. So so that just a wild guess if you based that on a 1% experience. All the people so far who did come far did like the story.

About the mapping, well it's not the best mapping around but it is not the worst either. There are some inconsistencies that need to be fixed but that will all happen some later on.

Well boring battles that is of course an opinion but mostly people say that because they do not understand the battle system yet. You need to play a lot of battles before you truly understand the deepness in it. And of course in the beginning it is all very straight forward but the more and more you learn about the battles the more you realize that it is a bit deeper than ur average rpg game.

Btw ff13 is a terrible game, that is camouflaged by good graphics. Rather have a good game with some less graphics instead.

Edit: Yeah I kind of know what the problem is, but as I said before those things take time to add or change to the game. The dialogue for an example is a Word document of almost 10.000 pages. That is not something you do in 1 evening.

So the problems will be sorted out piece by piece.

would it be possible if you could polish this game? like you did for the the first two final tears, except this time you can be prepared by having a team that knows how to speak english as well as proper testers, coders, better intro, etc. i guess what i'm asking for is a complete remake but it's completely up to you whether or not you want to. personally i think this may be the best decision because at this point the things you're fixing still seem to be on the fritz. when you remake it, you can then code it correctly and such, this is also where your teams comes in. it's not going to be easy but it seems like a viable option.

however alex didn't look at the bugs, he looked at the game itself
This makes absolutely no sense at all.

But to each their own, I suppose. It still doesn't excuse the classless dismissal of legitimate criticism on the author's part. He instead enlisted his buddies to come to RMN and write positive reviews, as if it would convince people otherwise.

lol the game itself as in he liked the story, battles, etc. and yeah he can work on his criticism a bit.

yeah that's true super stunner but don't always try to block out what some people are saying. there may be some truth behind their harsh words, sometimes you just gotta look for it or filter out some unnecessary stuff ya know?

it may not deserve a 4-star review to some people but that's because reviews are inevitably going to be bias no matter what because of certain elements that may turn-on or off a person. i may think that this game deserves a 2.5 or a 3 but this person gave it a 4 and that's what he believes. there's something in that game that appeals to his person and it doesn't seem like a poor game to him. i agree, no one likes bugs unless it's a glitch you can abuse in fighting games or something(lol). however alex didn't look at the bugs, he looked at the game itself and again, found something that he liked which motivated him to finish it. there's really no problem here. everyone's not going to like the same game. there are no guidelines that we have to follow to like or dislike a game, we just have our own morals that we follow.

lol you're so funny strangeluv. if you're really that suspicious and reaaaaally want to know why i barely have posts is because i just lurk here all the time. i made an account a while back but i hardly use it for posting and such. is it so hard to believe that not alot of people don't puncuate correctly or that i choose not to capitalize a few words? it'z kalld teh internehtz

The point is that Super_Stunner (or Stevie or whatever the fuck his name is) has received valid criticism from this community about his project. When he found out that the vast majority of people here did not like it, he freaked out and acted like he was some misunderstood artist, when in reality his game suffers from very basic design flaws and an abundant amount game-breaking bugs/glitches, not to mention the poor writing style.

Then, suddenly, this mass of brand new members appear and unleash a wave of unspecific praises towards the game. No one here is convinced. Many people on RMN have tried the game, and every single one of them do not think it is any good, myself included.

that's true but isn't there a first time for everything? eventually someone's going to like something. he's also working on some of the bugs(as well as rewrite his script) so it's good that at least he's making some effort to fix things. i'm not siding with anyone here really, but it just grinds my gears when someone is being crucified for their beliefs or opinions.

it's really funny how super stunner receives so much shit from people when someone likes his game. he's working some of the bugs and fixing them in the next patch. he's already got the message about the bugs in his game or how long it the game actually is. so what's the point of bringing to his attention every time you post here? at this point you're just being jerks and really what you're doing can really hurt someone emotionally. super stunner put alot of work into this game; it took years to complete. although 100+ hours is a turn-off for some people, you have to give it to him for actually completing a game from start to finish(don't forget years). so please, stop these dumb posts and if you really think he doesn't listen to you, why are you still posting here?

yeah and i don't hate you or anything since reviews are generally a summary of your personal experience so you're definitely entitled to say whatever you want :P it's just that it grinds my gears when people say that there are like no stealth kill methods lol. but yeah, again this doesn't mean that i dislike you so let's be friends haha

well...there is a stealth killing method i stumbled upon. and it's where you're in your box and if you're in plain view of the guard they will check the box. if you have your taser ready you can actually tase the guard before he alerts the others then you can proceed to kill him.

but yeah though even though it generally lacks on the stealthy kills you can still use this method and get by, which i don't mind lol
If you knife them three times out of their field of vision it kills them but they have to be in quick succession or you they will catch you.

yeah true but it works and thats good enough for me XD btw you can hold X for snake to swing the knife consistently until you let go

You people make it sound like none of you have gotten the silencer for the gun, which makes it considerably easier to "stealth kill" guards. Only problem is that you get it too late, and that you can even avoid finding if you don't explore thoroughly enough.

woah buddy let's be friends :P and yeah the silencer is definitely an option but i just don't use it as much as the box/taser combination
