KITTEN2021'S PROFILE

Returning from RMVX Death
1093
It has been a very long time since I have been on this website or hosted any games on it. Last message I left was sometime back in 2011, so obviously I have been on a lengthy hiatus. I apologize, but I am aiming to begin fresh and new with nothing tying me down or back due to what I previously had so all my previous games have been deleted from the site.

I will leave nothing on this website, except for very small things - updates every great once in a blue moon, etc. - and make no promises to anyone.

Please refer to the game titled Eriscadia for any further information.

“Hide-N-Seek Monster’s we be!”

Number 1 seems like the best choice since, as you said, It would work for any type of encounter. Besides, it's pretty difficult to "steal" someone's encounter idea. They've probably all been used in some way or another before.
Hadn't thought about it that way... XP
Guess which one I might end up using then. ^.^

...it might be interesting to mix it up, maybe have one safe zone per dungeon near the boss fight, and then one or two others throughout the dungeon ... that aren't safe.
This is actually what I had in mind; depending on how large the area's are, I wanted people to be able to tell when they are going to be facing some form of boss or when something major is about to happen. Maybe have one if its a medium sized area or two depending on if a boss is going to be present or if its a large area...

I take this from experiance - in other words, I always hated it when in some games I worked so hard to get to an area, suddenly run into a difficult boss ~die~ then have to start all over again from about 20 - 30 minutes back. Really hated that myself... I didn't want something like that to happen in my game, so I thought these up. I figured like in I think it was FFVI, right before a large boss fight some times, there was an area where you would enter and there would be a save station that both healed you and allowed you to save. I enjoyed this, becuase then if I died, I wasn't too worried about it; but, they were also placed down to allow the player to rest up and then continue on with the long road and battles instead of just bosses. (If that even made sense...) -.-

UPRC, I must say, the more I look at this games mapping, the more impressed I am.
Well done, my friend!

Is the shadow around the image necessary?

I tihnk it gives it a nice atmosphere... Very lovely mapping, btw. ^.^

Basic points to follow when using other peoples work:

1: ASK if they mind
2: If they don't mind you using their work, provide credit up-front
3: If they do NOT want you to use their work, don't. End of story.

These are the only things you need to follow, folks, enough said. These three simple rules are plastered everywhere on practically every single RM site I have ever been to; including this one, I thought. *Rushes off to read through the rule's again* Didn't find anything on RMN's rules about it, but I would like to vote to have them added someplace. Perhaps like at the top of the Resource page or the rules section. It prevents controversies like these from starting up again.

Glad I could guess it at least... It looks nice, and I'm glad that their not going to be exactly the same. :)

The color/texture of the walls and the floor tiles don't quite match up (the floor tiles have a sharper color).

The color scheme I've been fighting with... I realize its probably not the best choice to use, but you also need to remember, this is a hidden base under ground in some Mayor's basement that they had to add onto themselves. There will be plenty of explanation in the base if you speak to the correct person in there (all honesty, I haven't finished with her yet, but she's in there).

If you (or anyone) can think of a better color scheme, please! feel free to let me know and I will play with it.

It doesn't have to be anything more than a small supplies room, which could even be permanently locked to the player, but visible from the camera's perspective. It seems realistic for a secret military base exit to have emergency weapon caches at the exits. ... (But if this is a part of it that is supposed to seem innocuous to civilians, putting it in a locked room makes a lot more sense.)

That is an awesome idea... I had never thought about that. No civilian's are supposed to be able to get into this base, even though it's exit leads out into a open field that civilians can access easily, the monsters near the base prevent anyone from going near there.

So, it would make since to have a weapons cache or storage room in that area... Thanks, LockeZ!

Colors over the River II by lithyeld - Colored

I have re-started on this image... I figured what I did wrong the first time was I just threw colors on there and failed to realize that shading was a necessity. So, I've started out with the darkening of some areas like the sky and correcting the brightness on the shaded parts of the clouds and then moving to the shadows on the ground and buildings, etc.

Would you say this is the right path to start from? Once finished with this, I intend to lighten area's that look like they need the lighter coloring and shades, etc. Then at that point I can start with the coloring and so forth, right?

This is a really beautiful... I love the softness inthe shadows and lighting in this scene.
