Beautiful writing Kumada. I was so infatuated with this excerpt I actually sought out the source text not realizing it was fictional.

The resolution edit was mostly made to cater to the full screen mode which tended to exaggerate certain graphical qualities I've since refined. I'm somewhat relieved some people can't spot an strong difference, because that signals to me that I'm being overly fussy.

lol "viewer discretion is advised". The premise of this creature is that the rider can peer through the back of the steed's head and through its binocular eyes. I based the appearance of its head after those tourist telescopes shaped like human faces. As to why this pachyderm comes with a package; my best guess is I put it there to see if anyone would notice lol.

The second (right) one does look better, but not as destroyed, if you could have both it would be ideal. Did you try putting it all to the lower resolution? it could be interesting, imo.
Thank you Chana. XP's default resolution is far from my ideal. It's created a lot of work for me, because I prefer a personal perspective of the characters whereas XP is more suited to a hawk eye view. That is, if you're mostly creating sprites of the standard size like I am. I feel it's difficult for players to identify with characters from a six stories downward view, and have gone through leaps and bounds to try to upscale sprites to circumvent the default focus. After tinkering for awhile I feel I have found a nice mean.
On a side note your suggestion is a intriguing one, and I might just try what it yields. :)
