A note to my testers: And GMD
Okay, I'm not sure if or when you'll get this, but when I try extracting the game through the link you gave me through PM, it always says "extraction failed". The audio extracts perfectly, but nothing else does.
:/ Is there some way to fix this? I've played through the game you have public, but I really do want to play through the testers game.

I'm not too sure if this is just me or a part of the game, but...
After I went through the introductory scenes, got Patrick in my party, and took the first quest to head south, I went to Forest of Pam. Unfortunately, as I'm going through, I'm running into a problem.
I can't stop dying.
I'm not too sure if I'm in the wrong place or something, but the enemies there keep killing me. This isn't even a matter of exploiting enemy weaknesses right now, sometimes they just attack first and slaughter me before I can even get to the point of exploiting their weaknesses.
I really do hope this is just me. The game looks amazing and I don't wanna raegquit half the time because it's too difficult for me.

I'm just going to put this out there and say that at some point my friend and I are going to do a live video playthrough of this game. I'll try to notify you in PM when it happens.
Depressed, but I hold onto hope.
Don't go against this project, yuna! I know I promised to play this game, but I've been busy scripting for my own projects, and I honestly just lost time. I'll try playing it today.

I'm kind of wondering/worrying if people still use RPG Maker VX. While I have both, I don't wanna have to completely overhaul one of my games because RMVX is obsolete D:

I would honestly love to transfer my game to RMVXAce but a lot of the scripts are RGSS2 only, and I honestly don't have a clue how to convert. I'll be using it for future projects, though!

I like the town layout, lots of detail.
The one thing I don't really like is the lack of a night-time feel for me. The lamps you should definitely keep, but I feel the tint itself should be bluer. Just a thought.

Combat systems: Do's and Dont's & Opinions
On the topic of status effects, one of the things I'm doing with my games is having each element in a 6-element system have not just elemental strengths/weaknesses but also have each have a unique status effect to it (fire burns, ice freezes, lightning stuns, etc). Each of these states have unique debuffs to them, combining either basic debuffs or special effects. As an example:
Burn (Fire element)
- Physical attack debuff
- HP debuff
Freeze (Ice element)
- Physical / Magical defense debuff
- Cannot move/evade
- Removed upon damage
Stun (Lightning Element)
- Speed debuff
- MP drain
And things like that. I think this type of system would work out better if the battles are designed to be much longer / more challenging than usual, much like Pokemon. It would also add a unique twist to an element system aside from increased/decreased damage to certain enemies.
