So the testing begins... and another thing.
Like I said before, the amount of development you put into individual NPC's is amazing, and I absolutely love the interactions between them and the main characters, as well as between themselves sometimes! I'll admit, my previous assessment on Lain was...highly personal. She was rough around the edges, and she came out that way in the game, so by those standards you worked them out well. I just don't like the asshole character in games. ANY games. It's really nothing personal, and it's more my fault for letting an opinion get in the way of a good review.
And I totally know what you mean for the disappointment factor for games. Literally every single time I brought out a beta of my game, somehow somewhere there was SOMETHING that went wrong (like for the public beta I have out, I put the starting position of the player on a testing-only map...HRNGGGG-)

It's funny because it keeps happening.
You can edit the starting position yourself if you want. It's not encrypted; just place the player on the "Fire Chapter " map and place him two down and two to the right of the little girl event. From there the game should start normally.
For those who downloaded the newest beta of Chaos Divine...
Now, since this technically isn't encrypted, you can change the starting position manually if you so choose. The true starting position is supposed to be:
Map: Fire Chapter
Position: Two down and two to the right of the little girl graphic on the map.

Ok i downloaded the new demo and im just in a field with people. I find it confusing. I talk to them and some teach me skills and some change the skills. Some give skill points and i dont no. I talked to everyone and won the fight and im still in the field.
....crap...
I'll upload the system file later today. I accidentally put the starting position in the test field I have for when I'm trying out scripts.

Im trying this out today. :)
After you kill the first boss guy and leave the house, you can walk back in the house to the scene with the soldiers and the family and the game freezes.
EDIT: After the movie theatre if you try to check back you walk on trees and get stuck.
EDIT EDIT: In the second town the inn is messed up. Theres a door misplaced on the left and a black walk way that you appear in front of when you leave.
EDIT: WHen you get to the house and the guy asks for magma, i went in the right door of the house and started going through collecting, but when i went down some stairs the game freezes with you looking up at the stairs.
As of now everything is fixed, and I'll get to putting in the (hopefully) less error-prone game beta.
