SBETHUNE81'S PROFILE
Hello! I'm the 6th-8th grade math and science teacher at a small K-8 school in the Sierras. I recently moved to Oakhurst, California, about 30 minutes outside of Yosemite, with my wife and 16 month old son. Before that, I worked as a 5th grade teacher in San Jose. I love designing and playing video games and cooperative board games. My favorite parts of RPG making are writing and eventing. When I'm not doing that, I like to run, bike, and play volleyball. There is never enough volleyball.

@Blakwind - Thanks for playing Manifest. I'll put a hint below, but if you need more direct help just let me know.
Each of those problems should work out to a number from 1 to 6, giving you the order of when they should be pressed. It works based on order of operations. Multiplication and division are equally important and should be done left to right before any addition and subtraction (also carried out from left to right). The exception is that anything in parentheses is done first (following the same mult/div first, addition/subtraction second from left to right rules). If you get frustrated you can always leave it behind, as it is optional, or I can give you the answers. Let me know, and good luck.

Here you go.
Only the numbers matter. Read the clue again with that in mind and ignore everything else.

@demonlord5000 - Thanks for the feedback...response is below
Being able to skip directions with the rolling ball puzzle was intentional. Weapons with elemental attributes can still damage enemies who are immune/strong against the element. They just deal their normal damage. I didn't want the player to have to constantly swap weapons in cases like those, and you never know which enemies you are going to fight, so swapping wouldn't even work. The horse goes with you on the boat...if you ride it on you can ride it right off =). Thanks for mentioning the bridge thing, I'm not too concerned about it. It must have something to do with the wall extension script I'm using, so I don't have much control over it but I don't expect many people will mash the action button while passing under the bridge. There is a hidden passage in that room with the buttons. It should be on the lower edge of the wall somewhere above the signpost(south or southwest of the buttons). It is working.

@demonlord5000 - you can use Vellamik's Avoid Trouble skill if you don't want to fight random encounters anytime you like. If you look in the items -> weapons subcategory you should see the item you were concerned about.

@littlebro - You probably knew you had it at one point, but forgot about it. Check your inventory under special items...I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
@demonlord5000 - I've gone through and fixed the things you've pointed out. You've been very helpful with that. The ability to save between "Hare I Am" games was intentional. It's stress-free if you choose it to be =). As of now, without Vellamik, it would say the door is locked and that's it.

@demonlord5000 - Thanks for the thorough feedback. It was an interesting read.
@NEIN - try pressing the button the tiniest bit later than you'd expect...it may work wonders.

Thanks all for the feedback.
@littlebro - It wasn't a rookie question, but I answered it on the first page of comments, shortly after you mentioned it. There is no quit game option from the menu, you can just exit full screen mode and hit the 'x' at the top right corner of the window. It is only slightly more inconvenient, and I didn't want a quit option taking up one of the spots in the menu.
@demonlord5000 - Thanks for the bug reports, I always appreciate those, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the lockpicking. If you're looking for harder puzzles...you'll find them =).
If you wouldn't mind, can you please put anything specific that has to do with the story, or puzzles/minigames along the way in the hidden tags. Thank you.
@NEIN - I'm sorry to hear that part bothered you so much. As for the smithing, it sounds like the lag you experienced had something to do with why it seemed inconsistent. Has it been working better for you?
@Fikusdg - Glad you're enjoying it so much!
@Kaliesto - Thanks for the interest (and thanks to everyone who has posted so far for helping encourage others to try it). I hope you enjoy, and I look forward to hearing some of your thoughts when you've spent some time with it.

Unless there are several duplicate numbers, your strategy won't work most of the time on hard locks =). The blackjack game is exactly the same as standard blackjack, meaning the dealer will hit if below 17, so the bust rate is standard.

I appreciate the continued comments/critiques. NEIN, no problem about the spoiler tags, and thanks for changing it.
I would agree with both of you most of the time about a battle like that, however...
Thank you for elaborating on that issue NEIN. Your points are very valid, and I'll give it some thought.
About your other question...
Thank you again for the feedback and I hope to hear from you again.

In this case, you are actually rewarded with an item after the fight if you made it to the end, so depending on how you view the value of the items you used vs. the value of the item you gained, it wasn't a waste.

About your other question...
The smithing has been thoroughly tested, and once you find the timing, I believe you'll find it to be very consistent. I'm not sure whether you're anticpating the crossing of the arrows, but try waiting until the arrows are directly aligned before starting the keystroke.
Thank you again for the feedback and I hope to hear from you again.

@NEIN - Thanks for playing Manifest. I'm really glad you're enjoying it. In the future can you please put anything that might be a spoiler in the "hidden" tags. I'll put a hint to your question and my responses to your feedback in one.

Every button in that room you're stuck in has a number. Hit the "even" buttons. Not really sure what you mean by the "Hero saves Girl" bit. She was going to be killed and he stepped in. Not doing that would seem out of character to me, based on everything else that has happened. It is also an exact reflection of what happened in the first journal entry when Seram protected the city of Sundrian in the Southern Alliance using Focus. I'd love to hear some more of your thoughts on why it didn't fit in the story.
Thanks again for your feedback. I hope you continue to enjoy the game.
