Jake Needs Help...
Your like me in the sense as of right now with me making a decision on what my next project will be (after Monopolo) Considering I have over 15 types of game ideas, I have to narrow it down very soon.
A couple of tips would be to closely dissect each game in general...with these following things in mind:
1.) Can This Be Done? Can I Do It?
* Choose the game you can pretty much do with little or no problems whatsoever. Don't try and make a game that is going to be pain or learning process all the way thru. Pick something you can do realistically!
2.) Do I Have The Resources?
Well...a obvious one, make sure you have your resources ready for your next project! Get em ready or start making them! You can always look for something down the road...but you want the main stuff out of the way first!
3.) Which Game Will Create The Most Hype For My Fans?
It's good to choose something that stands out differently to most people, so try and choose the game that is different, unqiue, something that hasn't been done before. You'll get more hits that way! Of course you can still go with a classic RPG, just try and make it a bit different.
4.) How Long Will This Take Me?
If you have been on fire with game releases then this shouldn't matter as much. But if your getting desperate to release something, shoot for something short. A nice 3 - 5 month project should be enough.
5.) Will This Be Fun?
Fun...yes, if X GAME isn't fun to work on or be around, then don't touch that game.
Okay! Hopefully this will help you make a choice, the best idea is to really think about for a bit and narrow your choices down. Like I am doing now. It's September. So by October or November I want to be officially done by choice.
As for the type of game I think you should do, it's pretty much up to you. All of these sound pretty good to what I have read. Follow your own path. I think you'll find the answer soon enough. :)
(That's My Bounty sounds pretty good, you should do that! ^^)

Why (God Why) so many medieval fantasy games and so little of anything else?
Right idea, right moment, right game has to come along.
That is why instead of doing a crappy medieval game (which...probably could be next up. O_o) I decided to make a more modern game. Yay? :P

Just a layout question...
It's almost like seeing GW's format...NO!!!

You could use a few medieval chipsets for modern games. Forests, Mountians, Deserts. Anything is possible.
Questions you always wanted to ask other members, but felt too lazy or awkward to do so.
I don't have a obsession. It's just...bout time someone round here did a remake / different version for RM@K3!!! ;D
...I admit it, I huggle the car token with me during sex. :o

Wraith wasn't a bad game...it just...between the first game and second I felt that it completly shifted from one genre to the other, and that confused me. Also there were problems that I didn't really like. For instance...Wraith I battle system was a bit werid, and I thought could of been better if it was a bit more simple, other then that it was alright, and still to this day...I enjoy it more then the second.
The second improved by leaps and bounds in the storyline / graphics department...but a lot of the deaptures from the past game...made me a bit confused, almost as if this was just for the fans. I like the whole jumping / running / pushing type of style...but...it was a bit of a downer. The cutscenes also bore me more then anything.
You want more stories from the Donuts in Donut Land? Well perhaps when Monopolo is finished, I can go back to spilling my guts out again...because people will have no problems with me, cause I finished something. Yay!
