Weird and Unfortunate Things are Happening Review

author=Sooz
Sure she looks like the usual blonde bitch character we see but here, we see someone who might seem selfish but she just wants to live and deep down she .
She... she what? o_O
I complete forgot to to add that she cares about people like her friends Viola and Erick.

Meet the Inhabitants of Daybreak

Does Maiko have a deviantArt account or tumblr cause I think I want to follow them for their artwork.

Remie and Alana

Different taste for different people I guess. At least it just left me confused cause that just means it'll take me a while to get into it. It'll be worse if it left me angry or bored which thankfully it didn't.

You axolotl of us!

Not really. I don't mind the combat system. I like the MAP Card system of swapping summons. And I like the idea of these artifact becoming super villains who can make an army on a whim. What my problem was that I had no idea what was happening and why.

You've... never seen a single magical girl show, have you?

I remember watching Sailor Moon as a kid. And recently started watching Miraculous Ladybug.

Remie and Alana

I don't think I'll review this yet since there isn't anything to talk about but I do hope that's not the opening and are just cutting to the first dungeon because, like Miraculous Ladybug, I had no idea what was going on. Where did they get there powers? How do they work? Whats with the axolotls? It was fine when it got going but I couldn't shake those questions. I did like the whole warm cake and cold ice-cream thing.

Also, are we really gonna fight 48 artefacts or are some of them dealt with already?

Last Minute Gift

My review was too short so I'll just say that the art and music are beautifully atmospheric and I'm impressed of the genre change from RPG to maze game done very well. I'll give it a 3.5

Luxaren Allure Review

I'm super honored that you replayed it! I'll work harder on making better stories that don't leave important characters left out!

As for your suggestions, one of them dovetails nicely into an idea we have for the spin-off game, so I may use it, but I can't promise anything ^_^

You're welcome. I wanted to give it another try and see how everything fits together and try it on normal so I can give it a proper review. Beware that I won't hold my punches for any problems I have.

And I don't mind if you don't use my ideas. I just wanted to throw an idea that could help. Mainly cause Darkness not being evil and Light not being good has been a concept I have been fascinated with lately and Lynette, being the Darkness hating "Light" warrior that she is, might be an interesting enough character to explore that concept with.

And what those dovetails mean?

Luxaren Allure Review

I know. I just wanted to add a little addendum because while replaying it a second time, not only did I feel Lynette was a jerk to everyone for no reason but the story was a jerk to her for no reason.

Though for the sequel I only have two ideas that might be good. One is exploring this Lord of Benevolence that might be an interesting antagonist. A creature that whats to purge the world of darkness but could potential destroy the world because darkness is an element of the world that everything comes from.
And the other is Lynette meeting the angels and discovers they are just as human as she is.

Luxaren Allure Review

On the topic Lynette, not only is she a jerk that loses any sympathy that she manages to get from everytime she insults the party for no reason, but the story doesn't seem to like her either. Out of all the characters in the game, she's the only one that doesn't have any closure at the end and in fact might've ended worse for.

I mean Karuna managed to save the woman she loved. Aurelie, although still feeling guilty about everything, has tamed the darkness in her and is a stronger person because of it. Chisa proved to her family just how strong she is by being one of the heroes in her own way and Merel basically said "F**k you. I got a human girlfriend and we are so happy that every step we take makes rainbows." Even Elly and Thelma(can never remember their real names) get a happy ending watching over their master while Lynette gets nothing but what might be giving nasty glares to Aurelie and might be plotting to kill her first chance she gets.

This woman who travelled far to help and prove her worth, who lost her entire crew goes home a failure. Sure she helps defeats Lurlock but she felt that was beneath. Then she gets humiliated at the love contest before quitting to group which cause her to miss out on being a hero to the fairy race and fighting other baddies. Then wastes her once in a lifetime skill on someone who wasn't a threat, which cause Darkloft to get away. And not only did she not get to fight Darkloft but she missed out on getting revenge on the monster that destroy the ship she used.

Sure, she hold back those demons but that seemed more like a contrived way to keep the party as four and ultimately hurt her as a character as she didn't feel like she belong with the group. I hate to say this but if Lynette was cut from the story, nothing would be different except maybe losing a shrine in Singwind Pass. And that's never a good thing.
