Hali's Review Thread (Request Your Game!)

I guess he's a pretty effective villain. Although, really, he's just sort of doing terrible things around the game, while not being connected to anything. I never even considered giving the players the chance to end him. My thinking was that he's too much of a monster to actually get held to account for anything.

Rezident Evil: It Is Escape Review

Dude, don't worry, I don't understand why I made this thing. I've never managed to finish a "serious" project, just this thing!

Hali's Review Thread (Request Your Game!)

@Halibabica Thanks for playing/ reviewing my "game". I think you managed to capture the sinister nature of Tom Gums well in that drawing ha ha

Rezident Evil: It Is Escape Review

This is a pretty accurate review ha ha Cheers, Halibabica

A Longplay

I'm glad you enjoyed it, but it still shocks me that people did. I watched a guy stream it and I really wish I made it less dark at points ha ha. If I make another game, it'll be a bit more conventional. Just a bit.

@Vo0do0leW

Most of it isn't meant to be understood ha ha I don't know if I fully understand it. I'll warn you by saying it gets less comprehensible as it goes on.

What was the worst/funniest/most memorable moment you've had while someone else was playing your game?

Watching a German guy steam my game and realising I had made questionable choices ha ha

The Steam versions of RPG Maker 2003/ 2000 work fine -- I highly recommend them. The illegal versions also work, but I'd say they are on their way out. Games made on the non-steam version (if they don't have patches) usually work fine once imported into the Steam version.

Hand-holding in games

I'm torn on this subject. I respect Dark Souls' design, but it's just too hard for me. I'm a mediocre gamer with a limited amount of time I can dedicate to playing. I like to make steady (but not too easy) progress in a game. In Dark Souls I got to Blighttown and just gave up. Which is a shame because I really like everything about Dark Souls other than the difficulty.

Far Cry 5 isn't a hard game, but you can still die pretty easily if you don't think. That's my preferred level of difficulty.
