XEILMACH'S PROFILE

I love drawing since I was a toddler and decided to make RPGs to get practice and challenge. My main work is the "SEKAI" series which takes place in a "modern" modern setting since there's not enough of those around.

Switching from XP to VX Ace

Okay, thanks for the replies. I really wanted to know about the Charaset parameters.

I've never used VX prior so I did not know about Parallax mapping to get around.

Switching from XP to VX Ace

Hello,

I've been using XP for some time due to its lack of graphic resource limitations.

I enjoyed such features:
- Making charaset of any size actors as long as the graphic's pixel width and height is divisible by 4 (e.g. 400x100, 120x320)
- Using a long, long tileset of 32x32 tiles.

I did not upgrade to VX because of limitations.

I am thinking about switching to VX Ace, and am wondering am I limited to square locations and small people only? Or can I use XP resources as well? I have a trial of Lite and saw Charasets were 384x256 and 384x512 with 4x2 rows of objects each and was wondering could it be modified..

Thank you.

RMNv4 Feedback

The layout is all right, but the more prominent stuff that I usually come here for are now at the bottom half instead of where I can see right away without scrolling. Surely scrolling don't isn't much work, but it's going make me psychologically somewhat come less. O_o

Resource Center

I don't know if I don't see it, but it would help to have a graphical / audio resource center / database on the site instead of people putting their awesome creations just in the forums. I think it's kind of weird for there not be a "Resource" page link in the navigation above for a game-making site.

With a resource center page:

- Members can generate a stock of resources for one another to use and up makerscore at the same time.
- Members can also post other people's graphics from other sites with approval (Maybe rips can be organized by games)
- Resources can be edited and re-submitted by other members with original author/mod's approval
- Resources will be tagged, so related things can go together
- Resources can be viewed by "most viewed" or "most popular"
- Art competition can be held for those who want to let out their creativity and feel a sense of achievement ( or give something like Misaos in categories to spriters?)

------------------
Possible benefits
------------------
- reduce people asking / looking for specific graphics
- have members dedicate more time to actually working on a quality gameplay with resource gathering process out of the way
- make RMN an even more recognized community with unique graphics provided

Thank you for reading.

^ With an attitude like that, you're bound to learn fast. Keep it up.

I've also made a rpg game with everything from scratch, and I have to say it's not easy. However, it was "my world" so it motivated me to finish, and you learn more things that way.

First thing that ever took me a long time to finish. I'm not good with animals at all.

Still need to shade and in a way that adds a texture feel to it and make things stand out more.

KiraStar: The Polybius Problem

I like your game-making philosophy and that's how everyone should roll - less stress that way.

Zephyr Skies: The Winter Sage

@kalledemos: Same here, but I think that's the actual gameplay O_o. That means I should get high first.

Hello!

Welcome to the community. Feel free to ask questions and ask for feedback!

Maybe that could fit somehow like the periodic table.

From the looks of it, the two worlds seem to be parallel of each other.
