Cope Island (IGMC Version) Review

Thanks for the review! It was pretty well written, especially for a game as short as this one!

The new Cope Island has hit a bit of a rut. It's about 95% done? Maybe more? Maybe less? I have not worked on it much this year (for reasons I should not discuss, haha), but I'm really excited to go back and finish that 5%. I gave the new version much more attention and I tried my best to keep what made the original good in as well.

It is super motivating to me that this short game I made more than two years ago now is still getting praise. I feel you have a good grasp of what I went for in the game, and to me that is amazing.

Conspiracy of the New Order Review

The game may have stale humor, but the picture of President Frump and especially your comment under made me laugh pretty hard.

I didn't even know Tumblr RPG Maker games were a thing, lol.

Pokémon RMN Version Review

I feel like a lot of the more "edgy" stuff shouldn't be considered edgy in this day and age anymore. Pokemon has MUCH more disturbing stuff in the lore already. Example: It's implied Driftloon always attempts to steal children away by floating into the sky, and sometimes succeeds. How is that okay when same sex flirting and alcohol is not? My answer is BOTH should be okay. We can handle it. Kids can handle it. When I was a kid, and it was not that long ago, when I saw cartoon characters get drunk, it was called comedy, not something disturbing.

I have not played the game, but I for one approve of Funkound and vote to replace Buzz Lightyear from Pokemon X and Y with it. It's not racist. It fits in Pokeman too.

Three Ghostly Roses Review

This is a wonderfully written review. As happy as I am to get a high rating, I'm even happier to get a high rating with an actual well written review pointing out what works, the flaws, and actually getting what the game is about and talking about it.

I am quite happy the story did not go as you expected, for I was initially reluctant to start off with Edmund being amnesiac. While being amnesiac is cliche, I felt like the game's beginning would have been best to give the player a sense of mystery, gradually revealing the plot elements as you go. My hope was to assure players that this was not just another JRPG and something very much its own as you progressed, and it seems like I have succeeded so far.

The gold not being useful will change in the full game, as you will be able to purchase new Arts and Blast skills. With that said, I do feel I put a bit TOO much Gold chests and will change some around to add a little variety. I am going to have an item where you collect enough, it opens certain doors. I also plan on replacing some of the gold chests with healing chests.

Thanks for pointing out that bug! I would have never found that myself.

And the laughing dialogue, I will definitely consider an alternate way of portraying laughter via dialogue text.

I much appreciate the effort put into this review. Thanks for taking the time to write it. I'll try not to disappoint with the rest of the game, there is much more to come.

Wow, it sounds like the game made a pretty big impression on you! Thank you for the review!

For a while, I was worried that I made the game too easy (especially the last few areas), but it's starting to look like I've hit the right chords in terms of difficulty.

It did leave an impact on me! I don't know, I think overall, it was just my type of thing, and I appreciate seeing someone make something I would want to make and get any sort of success with it.

I've found myself playing really hard and long games as of late, so this was a breath of fresh air regarding difficulty. I played it while I was relaxing and it helped.

The last few areas were hard enough to force one to try so I would not say it was too easy haha.

Thanks a ton! I'm very glad to hear I made an impact! It's amazing to me to think anyone's listening at all, much less that it meant something to them. My main musical inspirations are Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie if that helps at all with pinning down the style... Probably not, but there you go!

I see both, especially Banjo Kazooie in any version of the Puppeteer theme. Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and Banjoo Kazooie have sound tracks I pretty much worship. I've studied those games for many hours of my life haha.

Listening to random songs from the game again I see both Banjo and DKC influences.
