Original Soundtrack

A lot of this gives me a Final Fantasy 12 feel (one of my favorite soundtracks). I love how it's coming along.

This looks gorgeous! Your use of light overlays are masterful.

Are all of these tilesets custom now?
They are! Not sure if you saw the latest blog post, but we’ve decided to convert the game into a commercial project. So we’ll need lots of pixel art. XD

Ah, that's fantastic! I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes then!

[RM2K3] Changing Actor Battler Graphic from events?

This is good, but I am using the licensed/official version

[RM2K3] Changing Actor Battler Graphic from events?

Suck.

Seems like a major flaw in design, further pushing that this will probably be my last 2k3 project.. But thanks for the quick reply!

[RM2K3] Changing Actor Battler Graphic from events?

Sorry, I meant changing the graphic not adding or removing actors

[RM2K3] Changing Actor Battler Graphic from events?

Is there a way to change the actor battlers in the game via events? I swear I have checked the entire menu and I don't seem to see anything in any of the event options. This seems like it should be a simple command, and i thought that it was in Tsukuru, but I could be mistaken.

These are some pretty sexy menus

[RM2K3] Skill Detection- is it a thing?

author=Marrend
Feeble attempt to be more on-topic:

I seem to recall Final Fantasy - Endless Nova having a character who learns skills similar to a Blue Mage. Now, granted, that's a TsuK game, but, that might be a game to look into to see how that functioned. It probably uses a check to ensure that the Blue Mage is in the party, but, I assume there would have to be some kind of check for "if <skill that can be learned> was used".

I just don't recall how that check was applied off the top of my head. ;_;

Either way, this is a great reference, so it gives me a direction to look at! Thanks alot!

[RM2K3] Skill Detection- is it a thing?

I think it can work if the skill has a different MP cost than the other skills, and use detection through variables by checking for MP spent in the battle eventing. So, if it would be the only skill that costs 7 MP, the event checks if 7 MP has been spent that turn, and then activates the switch.

This is pretty good food for thought, it has given me a few ideas. (though there are some clear cons.) Thanks alot!

Still looking for some other ideas btw
