That one's on me. It's possible to delete posts (not topics, just posts) and since a thread counts the initial post as 0 and then adds +1 to each post after, deleting the first post will minus one from the total...which is 0. Thus -1 post count.

If I get two locations done a day each day until I finish Mystic Dawn, I'll be done somewhere around December 29th (d'oh!). Pushing back that deadline to New Years Eve.

99% of this was Shinan. I only caught the second wave and the site was going so slow for me at the time I think I only actually locked and moved two.

Is there a reason One Piece and Fairy Tail look so alike. I just finished reading Bakuman and Fairy Tail was recommended. It's very jarring to see my beloved OP like this. Should I bother continuing?
The creator of FT worked as an assistant for Oda at some point (iirc) and was inspired by his style.
As to FT itself... well, it's suffers a bit from the Bleach-syndrome where the story arcs are very alike. There's a LOT of fanservice, too. In fact, that's the main component of the series, tbh. There are some good characters, but the main two are, well, I found them pretty bleh.
I couldn't continue the series. It seemed that the womens' clothes tended to disappear a hell of a lot - even the more serious characters. There's one battle where they took the best character and actually made her fight naked because, hey, why not? This after being tortured... by tentacles... >.<;
Sure, there's one guy who loses his clothes all over the place but he doesn't make up for the whole 'erry girl naked erry fight' thing going on.
And, yeah, as I said, it's very repetitive in the arcs. Usually someone gets kidnapped, someone goes to save them, big fight with powers, friendship saves the day, back home. It does have some high points, but for the most part it's not great.
If you like ecchi and the Power of Friendship (tm) then go for it. Some of the powers are interesting, and there are some characters that make it worth checking out (Erza~<3) but frankly, I found it hard to like after a certain point.
I would recommend checking out the mangaka's first series, Rave, which -while unfinished- is considered a lot better than FT. FT sells because it hits the tick-list for shonen manga. It doesn't try to push the boundaries, just sails along as it stands. That's not a bad thing but it's definitely no Monster or One Piece or King of Thorns or 20th Century Boys or Pluto or... you get the idea. It doesn't bring anything new to the table. If we were to compare it to something it'd be the Episode I to Episode IV, V and VI of Star Wars (where I is FT and IV, V and VI is OP) or Twilight to Tolkien.

Tonight I finally made peace with something that's been hurting me for longer than I realized.
Man, my Firefox browser is so freakin’ slow right now. I’ve been on RMN for the past two hours and most of the time that I go to click or check on anything results in it either crashing or the page entirely hanging for around ten minutes. I’ve tired uninstalling and reinstalling it but to no avail. (I’m currently using crappy ol’ Internet Explorer in the meantime for now.)
This sucks, because I thought I would come on here for a while to take my mindset away from this complicated thing that I’m doing in my game that has taken me more than seven weeks to figure out and I’ve tried, and tried, and tried again to do it six different ways but to no success, this coming from something previously that I had to do that took also around seven weeks to figure out. Ugh…
