It was quite nice today to go outside and on the way back home stumble upon a bunch of kids selling some lemonade and some ice tea to some thirsty travels walking by for a messily buck. It was quite refreshing (no pun attended) to see something like that nowadays, as it really took me back to when I was kid doing the same exact thing, but for much less.

Also, I burned my hand today trying to pick up a sausage from the stove top. (Should have used gloves, lol.)
the theater is even playing in full on HD video land.

that game looks amazing fearful
i really dig the transition from the battle to the safe point
the unresponsiveness is hard to work around! luckily your hair is not in your face!

Stand back. Artist at work. I paint with enthusiasm if not with talent.

I feel destroyed. Went to a concert yesterday for the first time in six years.
I remembered why i stopped going to these concerts. The amount of people was suffocating. Most of the people were lower class cholos who looked like they were gonna mug us or shank us or both. People were rude in general and water cost like $3 a bottle.
I may be starting a full time job soon. I'm excited, though it will mean I'll have less time for game mak for a while.

I'm thinking about running another Battledome. Probably Fight Fest (drawings/semi-rp based voting).
Wonder if you peeps would be game for a Movie Monsters themed arena. Like Darkstalkers style?

Edit: hmm, on second thought... If I did Monsters theme, Exodermius couldn't enter. Unless....... Mwahaha

I would most certainly be down for another Battledome. The last one was great fun.
1. Take cup filled with ice
2. put your mouth near the mouth of the cup
3. Blow into cup
4. ???
5. feel dat cool ass breeze
So far writing for my game is taking interesting, and tough turns. It is times like this that you should always be grateful for the people who do these things (unless they're really terrible).

Writing for a game is like writing a book.

On the positive for something completely unrelated, I finally got a job! YES! Now more opportunities are open for me in the future.

like a drawing competition? battledrome?

How so? Writing a book is just that: Writing. Writing for a game forces you to take many other factors, such as gameplay, into account, so you can't be constantly advancing the story through dialogue and/or non-gameplay means, otherwise you'll have Metal Gear Solid 4.

I mean, there are a lot of similarities, such as the need for pacing and character development, but I'd be interested in hearing you elaborate a bit more on this.

As for what I'm thinking about:

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Oh man, that was my FAVORITE episode of Seinfeld.

writing for a game is a lot like building an amusement park andor roller coaster ride.

Lockez: dododo dodoooooooo do do doooo dood odo doooooooo.
Pacing & character development is definitely what I meant, the need for coherency, and making sure to avoid plot holes. I got the idea of the book angle because the makers of Assassin's Creed basically had to go back, and forth when she, and her co-founder partner were writing the games. They ended up making a book, and made a game around at the same time. Right now this is how it feels to me as well.

Apparently this a common thing with Developers while making a game..they also end up writing a book.

The 13AM Games Twitter totally goofed me earlier today, and it was wonderful:

The fact that I know this Twitter is run by a former college game design professor of mine makes it all the better.
Lol isn't there a story about "Mr.Bone's Wild Ride" from Rollercoaster Tycoon?

That was pretty funny.
