Oh, they are now working for some reason, but yeah, the videos would looked like they were finished loading and buffering to just be a black screen with no sound. Don't know what was different this time, but glad to see they are working now. Sorry for screaming fire when it was probably just a temporarily youtube thing or something on my end. XD
Man Afterman had potential but it just didn't have much suspense value. What a shame. :(

Dungeons: Ace Alpha
Part One: FEEL MY PAIN, FACSIMILE
Part Two: I BEAT UP GANDALF AND HIS OLDER BROTHER

Your lag is a result of the dynamic lighting. Your computer must be old.
Continued and gave up on Dungeons: Ace Alpha and started on Legionwood 2.

Dungeons: Ace Alpha
Part Three: SMASHING THE SPACE BAR
Part Four: MORE BATTLES...BOREDOM ENSUES

Legionwood 2: Rise of the Eternal's Realm
Part One: WHY IS EVERYONE SLEEPING?
Part Two: STUDYING THE ANAL CAVITIES OF HISTORY
Hello NicoB, can I have a reserve LT/LP slot for my game *_* I just need 5 or 7 days for my new demo, probably will be around 10 hours of gameplay. Thanks for your time <*.*>
It's probably boring because those bosses were severely undertuned. They were intended for level one characters. I added the leveling, the Goddess Runes, as an addition so people could have growth in the beginning of the game, but didn't think to check how the stats would affect earlier fights.
@sawworm: Maybe. Is it the Shattered Hourglass game?

@Gamesfreak: I think it's more the super generic story and characters, button mashing for every battle, no need to use skills, random encounters, and other things mentioned in my final video. Bosses are only a small portion of that.
I just saw the LT, I really needed some laughs xD
Well, my english is really bad so lets try this:
About the grammatical issues, geez, I knew that was bad, but never that bad, really, I facepalmed myself when I saw some of the errors, especially at the end xD
About the battles, I think I forget to adjust the bosses aparently, they died too easily, aparentely was the version I use to test the game xD o.O
About the fire ability, it's not supposed to do more damage, just to attack all the enemies at once, the spanish one it was heal, the previus scene it's to show that ^^
Well, thanks for the video/review/stuff xP
(Grammatical errors, grammatical errors everywhere xD)
PD: The "Basic" thing it's part of the RTP, I think its the wolrd map RTP chipset, I thought that I solved that problem, but aparently not =/

Yes it is.
I'd like to request a let's try Mangus Light or Magnus Legend?
Hi NicoB.

I noticed you have started on Legionwood 2! I didn't know until now, but I'm going to watch them immediately. Unfortunately, I'm still recovering from a hard drive crash so it will be a week or two until I can get access to the game from my old computer to address any of the criticism (I know there are still some balancing issues with the classes - I really suck at balancing, so things like this Let's Try are helpful), but I appreciate it nonetheless, and thanks!

By the way, you're narration is sufficiently hilarious and I'm really enjoying it. Quite entertaining.

EDIT: I noticed in the videos that you're playing Beta Build 1.1... This is an extremely outdated version! There are a lot of bugs, bad balancing, general issues and lack of polish etc, that you won't be experiencing if you upgrade to the latest version (2.2).
I guess I assumed you'd download the latest one before you began playing, but it's probably my fault since I didn't let you know an updated version was out. I received a fair bit of feedback since I requested the Let's Try and managed to fix up a lot of issues.
Please don't play this version anymore - it really is a very different game, and I'd feel much better if you gave the updated one a try since I feel it's a lot better, and the balancing, combat system and difficulty is a lot less out of whack, not to mention there's a whole new stat (Threat).

Full changelog for those interested who are following the Let's Try:
- Added cutscene to the intro fleshing out Lionel and Clara.
- Various script edits, rewrites and alterations.
- Vanishing characters issue is fixed.
- Skipping the intro no longer prevents your characters from getting skills and items.
- Sub Classes no longer provide you with additional equipment options.
- Equipping a Sub Class now incurs a small statistical penalty, to attempt to balance equipping it.
- The Shield Earring no longer grants Attack. It now only grants Defense and Wisdom like it was meant to.
- The Swift Shoes now increase Agility by 20 instead of 50.
- There are no longer squares in the battle text.
- Enemies have had their Attack, Wisdom and Defense increased by 10%.
- The Curse Dryad is no longer encounterable in random encounters.
- Silencing now prevents Magus, Cleric and Rogue Techs from being used.
- Offense Ring, Mind Ring, Shoulder Pad and Shield Earring now grant percentage based bonuses.
- An extra cutscene has been added when the player enters the Forum in the intro.
- The description for the "Energy Bolt" item has been fixed.
- Battle items have been made slightly stronger.
- Inn fade out time has been decreased by half.
- Blacksmiths no longer ask the redundant "can I help you? yes/no" question.
- Various typos have been corrected.
- Shop scene has been upgraded to now show detailed information about purchases.
- The Stun ailment no actually ends.
- Some rebalancing has been done in Hunter's Cave and Ironrim Mine.
- Small cut scene movement errors cleaned up in Ironrim Mine and after the Curse Dryad fight.
- Brennus has been made harder to kill.
- The Slimes in Hunter's Cave have been made considerably weaker.
- The Beast Cloak description no longer runs off-screen.
- Finally fixed the battle crashing script bug!
- Defending for a turn no longer displays the message "... has stopped covering allies."
- Take Aim now increases Hit Rate, and not Threat.
- Items and equipment have been added in order to implement basic control of Threat.
@sawworm: I'm...not sure. Some of your screenshots have me hesitant (like the Pikachu one). Let me think it over.
@obsorber: Sure, Magnus Light seemed like a pretty solid one. I'll give that one a go.
@Dark Gaia: That's strange...I downloaded it just a couple of days ago on RMN, so I'm not sure how I could've gotten an older version (unless you hadn't uploaded it yet or the wrong version was set as the main download). I'll try again though.
@Deckiller: Lol, hell yes. Added!

You probably did - Dark Gaia has forgotten to rename the project (in the taskbar it still says Beta Build 1.1 even though it is the updated version) He was probably misled by this. You ARE indeed playing the new version; for example one thing in the changelog: "Added cutscene to the intro fleshing out Lionel and Clara." does indeed appear in your "Let's Try" video!
Ah! Yes, upon watching the videos, it does seem that you ARE playing the latest version. I was sure I'd renamed the project in the System tab, but apparently I didn't. Seeing "1.1" in the title bar alarmed me at first, is all, and I didn't have time last night to watch the videos in full.

In any case, I enjoyed both videos, found them hilarious and informative and appreciate the effort. Looking forward to more!

One thing I do really want to change though is the speed at which the text scrolls in the intro. Your video tells me it's way too fast (though it's on Ace's lowest speed setting), so I may end up doing it with Pictures instead.

This is true but I have an alternate solution: simply separate the lines from each other by adding spaces inbetween and separate paragraphs further. This will give the impression of a lower scrolling speed.

(sorry for the hijack, NicoB!)

Well it's your call, these are the optional battles that have nothing to do with main story, just for a little challenge, if you don't want to fight you can ignore it.
Started on Super RMN Bros. 3. I actually made three videos last night, but I only managed to get one of them fully edited and rendered. You can expect the rest (and more) tomorrow.

Super RMN Bros. 3
Part One: EAT MY BOOT, GOOMBA!
Continued with some more Super RMN Bros. 3. I'm kinda stuck though, so any input on what to do when be awesome.

Super RMN Bros. 3
Part Two: MARIO MINECRAFT
Part Three: A PAINFUL TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE
Part Four: TOAD NEEDS HIS FIX
Part Five: TURTLE IN A HALF SHELL
