I honestly don't think meta is even possible in this game. We have all chosen our own characters, which aren't related to each other in any way other than all being doctors.

Ivory's right. Role-claiming and checking what each person says and their reactions aren't going to help so much in this game. We're all doctors, we all have some sort of sanity - whether it be good or bad - and none of us knows who has what.
In this case we need to work together and come up with a plan of action for the night phase so that we can ascertain who has which sanity and who is the odd ones out.
I'm all for working together by no-lynching today and either each targetting ourselves or choosing all together who should target whom. This way we'll be likely to discover our own sanities and figure out the puzzle from there.
This, my friends, is a different breed of mafia. Check out the first link of the topic for more information on what a deathy is and a good example of how it should be played.

I have no objections to ivory's plan, although I still think we can try to make deductions from people's posts, rather than just focussing on night phase.

Of course protecting ourselves isn't the only plan. I don't plan on relying on it 100%! We still need to deduct people's posts like what Jeroen said.
But the plan would only work if every one of us cooperate. If someone tries to stray away and protect other people, then you've just wasted all of our efforts. Needless to say, that still doesn't excuse the people who haven't partook in our discussion.

Well, I never said it wasn't important, either, just that it wasn't as important as a game plan. Especially at this stage of the game, when there's precious little that can be deducted from posts.

I think Liberty is right. None of us actually have any information about what type of doctor we are, except the mafia, who know they are fake.
We should no-lynch, and use our powers to gain info about who we are. The question is: how to use our powers in an efficient way so as to prevent the most innocent deaths? I will investigate.

I chose Doctor Watson. "Sherlock, please. Help me solve this case~" I should have chosen Doctor Dick - and if you don't know who that is... do a youtube search.*
That said, a plan needs to be put into action. Now, if this were a typical police vs mafia, we'd all investigate each other. I can't see why protecting ourselves wouldn't work well. If we tried to protect each other we could have an issue - say two people protected the same person. If we protect ourselves on the first night we might be able to garner more clues.
