What is your reasoning for wanting to elect Happy.
It's literally a vote for 'the other guy'.
Besides, if someone was to get a power or whater, I am against co-mods. You already had godlike powers, and Happy is a legible player. It'll be easier to ween information from him. Playing against Cavedog is like playing poker against an opponent without a tell.

You can cancel your election votes. Please do make sure to clarify what vote you are cancelling, as in #Cancel lynch or #Cancel election, or anything else that is clear.
Regarding the election votes, I want to see more of them. I want to see how this gimmick will turn out, so I need people to use it. If I have to randomly choose a sheriff, I may invoke a "no lynchvotes until there's a new sheriff" policy when that sheriff has died.

I'm back, bitches~
Nominating myself because I'm the only innocent I know of at this moment in time.
Cave usually does do a role claim on first day - both when he's scum and when he's not. It's a clever tactic when playing with the same people time after time as it throws them off. That said, I'm not getting a scum read from him at the moment.
My gut, though, is telling me that Happy might be a little too lynch-happy (get it? aw yeah, joke skill level up~) That said, I've no real read on anyone and this is only the first day, so...

Lol, you're funny guys. Cave is a liar and I won't believe any of his role-claims like ever. How can you fall into this over and over again? :)
Also, Jeroen should've restrict players from voting themselves for a sheriff.
I wouldn't elect anyone today because we lack of information so far. Just lynch randomly and move on.
Yet, I'll wait with lynch vote as well.

Well, I'm back and ready to use my brain! Feel free to assault me with questionings and accusations!

No, I am not.
the first deception.
I don't know why people are putting down nolynch votes. It's not like your vote is going to somehow drift off and hammer someone if you don't throw down a nolynch.
Wildwes. answer....my initial question. Who do you think is scum!!!
Just got back from a great time! I'm honestly really skeptical of Trihan and Platinum being town since Platinum seems to be extremely attached to Trihan. Trihan is kind of weirding me out with justifying possibly lynching a townie, and him seemingly believing Cave's obviously fake roleclaim was naive.
Someone with a strong scumdar would be good for sheriff, though giving someone that power when you're not sure who to trust seems like a bad idea. I'll eventually elect someone, I'm sure.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

By looking at this failed bandwagon I'd say he's suspicious enough. Also he's too eager to elect someone else.

I don't think there will be any easy way to choose a sheriff anytime soon, mainly because even if we have a Seer to confirm someone to be village for sure, we also have to confirm the Seer's role? This would put the Seer in danger.
I agree that the scumdar possessing person would be a good sheriff. But that's not an easy pick either, because first someone should catch a werewolf and we would need to confirm it by lynch the said werewolf.
ps. Cavedog, you have a bad memory and you're playing careless. I don't take you for a naive person, so why did you walk in my trap?

I am now certain that you are not scum and are just town trying to play scum as hard as possible.

My reasoning for electing sheriff are the exactly same as yours. I'd like to have someone able to detect scum somewhat and whom I know with reasonable certainty, is not scum him/herself. I decided not to vote for myself since there is most likely no one interested in voting for me at this point, so it would accomplish mothing. Mind you, Jeroen threatened to sanction us, if we don't manage to elect a sheirff by the end of he first day.
Of course, if you think I made the wrong choice or my reasons for making it was flawed, feel free to make me reconsider. I'm always open for discussion.

It's easy, you can't possibly know for sure who is town yet unless you're werewolf. Why are you naming Trihan town?
Man gotta love these timezones
I think the only reason Townies would vote to elect a sheriff today (a person other than themselves, anyway) would be trying to get a fellow Werewolf the double-voting power. As such, PlatinumAshes and Trihan are definitely on my watchlist.

The only issue with that thought is that the scum team might think it would be worth a sacrifice of one to control the double-vote and be 'justified' in their targeting of others. The only thing stopping this play is the real scumdar possessor calling them out if that happens.
So, keep quiet scumdar, until we're at least past day two or three. You'll be less likely to be night killed if you don't show your hand and when it comes down to the wire we'll really need your guidance.
Also meant to say about the scum team sacrifice thing that another bonus to them trying to pull such a play would be that they would been as a sure-thing villager and not targetted. So yeah, don't out yourself scumdar.
Also, campaign time.
If you vote for me to be sheriff I will cast non-lynch each day until we're sure of someone being a scum. What does this mean? Simple. If I do not cast non-lynch each day you can feel free to lynch me.
Why should you do this?
- It takes the double-vote out of the hands of the scum team for as long as I am alive.
- Even if I was scum, it would render my vote useless unless I wanted to get lynched.
- I am sure that I am not scum. You can't be, but I am.
- If our Seer or Scum-detector are outed and sure of a death, I will listen to them but LET YOU ALL VOTE on whether to follow through with their finger pointing.
This puts the majority in control of the double vote, not me.

Liberty's proposal sounds reasonable enough to me. It's a better solution to the problem of not having a sheriff, than just picking whichever person seems most townie-like.

Well, this does sound good generally, but even by this logic we can't determine whether you're part of the town or werewolves. It would render your day vote useless if you were a werewolf, yes, but that doesn't seem like a big sacrifice for keeping yourself alive.
Another problem I see with this is that if you are elected as sherif, how likely would it be that you're granted a protection during night? The werewolves would have a clear target who to avoid killing during night and they wouldn't need to be afraid that their kill fails. Though this all applies only if we have the protect ability at our disposal.
Basically only one who would benefit from this is you, by staying alive.
I mean, sure, your concept is great, in case we knew if you are town. But we still have the problem that we can't really tell anyone else's roles than our own.
