Excellent work everyone. I could never be of much help with warfare I'm sure - so I just stayed out of the discussion. It"s good to know we can handle a fight if we need to. I'll just deal with cleanup.

Well, we survived. We have nine dead on our hands, but I guess this is the best I can expect.
Ms. Galvant. As for your thoughts that you are worthless, I would like to direct your thoughts towards a person in the early 1900s. His name was Trotsky, he led a little group called the Red Army. He had no formal military training, yet he led his men to victory over the White Russians. Think about that next time you wish to stay quiet.
Mr.Gonzalez has also notified me there were 15 injured. Ms. Galvant, if you would be so kind to take care of them when you get the chance.

That's a surprisingly positive sentiment to hear coming from you, Mr. Grey. Whatever I do next time, I'll definitely help the injured.

Well, I suppose we should be grateful that our settlement still stands. Yet our thoughts should be with those who fell defending us all and their families. We should speak out to the people and give them our condolescence.
General, I suppose you might want to meet with the guards and assess the situation. I am sure we will be able to learn from the experiences of today and prepare ourselves better against any future attacks.
Doctor, I agree that your abilities are indispensable for treating the injured. We've seen enough tragedy already, you can prevent some more from occuring.
Mr. Naechum, would you be willing to visit the scene of the battle and estaimate the damage done to our home, the settlement? We will require your professional knowledge to plan any necessary repairs as well as future expansions of the settlement's defenses.

Okay, I think for PMs from now on I'll give a 72 hour time limit just so things can move on a little bit faster. If you don't get the PM in then you don't do anything. Alright, let's get into this then.
You all file in to see Mr.Gonzalez looking distraught. You all sit down and he stands up, looking to be completely out of his element.
Mr.Gonzalez
I-I don't know how to go about this... but as you've all seen Mr. Naechum isn't here.... He- he's gone. F-found in his tent... a-a knife in... in his... oh God...

Oh, dear. I think we should begin an investigation immediately. Do we have a constable; a detective; someone otherwise qualified for criminal investigations?

Hmmm. Seems that was over looked in the screening process, what a sloppy mistake.
Seems the council will have to field this one. Of course that doesn't mean you all have to go, you could always assign some to do the job and the others can worry about the rest of the settlement.

Hm. Do you want to take care of this, Obadiah? You've shown plenty of interest. I would be the other obvious choice, but uh, we could always all handle this!

Mr. Grey says we don't have a policeman which means we gotta do something about it. I seem to remember that most police detectives were more interested in pinning evidence to the first person it stuck to than actually solving crimes. True, the first person evidence stuck to 70 percent of the time was actually the guilty one. Still cops didn't care about the other 30 percent. It's not like we could do worse.
Could always use a doctor in an investigation. Mr. Holmes had one, anyhow. I imagine, if anything, I'll be more like Mr. Columbo, only not as smart.

here's what I can tell you; Mr.Naechum came here alone like the rest of you, and he was found at 6:30 this morning. We can worry about this soon enough, for now Mr.Gonzalez, compose yourself and do your job.
Mr.Gonzalez
Alright. We need to send the scouts out as soon as possible due to our low supplies, and the water mill was finished.

My goodness... That's quite shocking news! Poor Mr. Naechum. He was a very trustworthy and skilled member of our community.
How could such a tragedy ever occur? Of course, we must do everything in our power to resolve this incident. And if it turns out there could have been measures taken that would have prevented it, the responsible people will be held accountable.
Dr. Galvant, you should definitely examine the body and find out the cause of our poor friend's death. If we can't feel safe inside the walls of our own homes any more, drastic changes will become necessary. The urgency of this issue cannot be understated and I vote we should bring clarity to this before going back to the order of the day. Any other course of action will eventually lead to - entirely justified - anger and unrest among the people.

Yes, we definitely need supplies, but certainly we have plenty of settlers that we can gather supplies and still spare some able bodies for a murder investigation. I'm no political scientist, but I'm fairly sure a population would grow justifiably unruly if they saw their leaders give a murder case anything but top priority. So perhaps we can set aside a number of scouts whose job, in days of relative peace, is to gather the materials we need daily. Another group should be appointed police to keep peace within the community.

I'm waiting for a certain person *Cough* Gourd *Cough* To give me the updated map before I continue, but yeah it is a PM action you can do right now! Or you can wait until the normal PM action time

Alright, I'm back from the autopsy. It was a pretty calm crime scene all things considered. Unfortunately, it got a bit gruesome when I took Mr. Naechum's clothes off. I could tell he died around 2:30 in the morning. There were three long stitches going from his neck to his waist. When I opened the stitches, I found organs missing - particularly his liver and his kidneys. His organs were taken out before he died.
Now, this sounds like someone simply stole Mr. Naechum's organs... but then I found something strange. His right index fingernail was completely gone. I could tell that the nail was taken post-mortem...
I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I can only imagine that the nail was taken as a trophy. Usually by a serial killer or a seriously disturbed individual. Thoughts, council?
By the way... I don't mean to sound too nonchalant about a death like this, but you get used to it after a few years as a doctor. At least I finally feel like a competent member of the council!
