SETTLEMENT: ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (GAME)

How much work would it be to make that research center I mentioned earlier? I agree the quarry is more important right now, but I'd like to get started with my research for a cure as soon as possible!
Read the OP, Quarry is built and Research center is there now

So, uh, where exactly is it listed in the OP? I don't see anything in there related to what buildings we have built.
In the buildings list it will say Built! Next to it

Xavier M. Naechum:
I say we establish a secure route to the river, as Obadiah suggests, next. We have a forestry for wood, quarry for stone, barracks for holding soldiers, and I can build a farm with our seeds, should they be gifted to me. The water mill can be used for more than just gathering water, it can also be used for electricity, and we can outfit it to produces items quickly.

I'll also remind you guys our wall is far from the best it could be. I'd suggest we upgrade it at some point, but not now.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

General Sir Alastair Barret Carlisle:
I believe an upgrade of our wall is in order as soon as we have extracted enough stone from our quarry. I also believe we should build a farm and watermill next.

We should also tell our scouts to focus on finding food.
Mr.Gonzalez

To stretch out the fence, we'll need 100 wood, and protection for the workers.

I say yay. Do we have the necessary protection for the workers?

Also, there seems to be a little confusion about what a water mill is for. Water mills don't collect water, they use it to turn wheels for milling wheat into flour and this action can also be used to generate electricity. Of course, that does raise the question of water. Obviously, we can get it from the river, but it's not exactly drinkable. That said, I have ask, Mr. Gonzalez, does our mine produce coal? If it does, we'll be able to use it to make water filters. Otherwise, we'll have to locate an underground spring and dig a well, which shouldn't be too hard near a river.
Mr.Gonzalez

The mine is being worked, on, and we have found some coal, I expect by this time next month we'll have plenty of coal.

Jonathan McArmite:

Despite the urgent business of expaning the settlement, we should not forget about the incident that just happened. It has set a precedent. Until our next meeting, I am going to work out a set of laws concerning the responsibilities of the armed forces and how citizens can deal with their misuse. Also, we should agree on a policy of how to deal with outsiders and the possibly infected.

Either way, a water filtration device, as Mr. Golden suggested, seems of crucial importance to me as well. Providing our people with food and drink should always be on our priority list.

Oh, General Sir Carlisle, one question that has been bothering me: Where exactly did Ex-Corporal Stevens get that alcohol he had been drinking? As far as I know, we do not produce anything of the sort. It might be worth investigating and keeping the distribution such substances under control of the council in the future.
Dr. Brooke Galvant
Yes, expanding the settlement sounds good to me! Once we're within reach of a Research Center, I really think we should get one as well.

Mr. McArmite, booze is painfully easy to make. Boil some wheat in some water, stick it in an unsealed jar for a few months and you've got liquor. No need for yeast. You can literally get the yeast from not washing your dishes. Don't be surprised if we've got a few shiners in with the colonists, and while I agree we need some regulations for booze, don't be quick to consider a prohibition (I know you didn't say that. I'm just saying). The ability to loosen up and throw a few beers back is good for morale.
Mr.Gonzalez

So, we extend the wall, work on a water mill, gather coal, send the scouts to find food, give seeds to Mr. Naechum. Did I miss something?

Looks like everything is in order.
Dr. Brooke Galvant
Definitely! Thank you, Mr. Gonzales.
Mr.Gonzalez

Well! This was an exciting counsel today! I say we adjourn for today. We have a lot of work to do, might as well start as soon as possible! Let's meet here again next month.

(If I missed something, just post it and I'll add it to the list)

Send in your PM's as soon as possible!
Just waiting on NeverSilent and Seiromem to send in their PMs
I think I waited long enough!

Mr.Gonzalez

Well, what an eventful month! I have unfortunate news, we seemed to have run out of wood, so we couldn't build a water mill, but there's always next time. The scouts have also brought back some troubling news; a good sized horde is heading our way, we might want to get ourselves ready in case they run into us.
However, there are some people who would like to join us. There is a small campsite set up a little ways away. According to our scouts there are about 80 of them. You might want to decide whether to let them in or not before the horde gets too close!

I say, bring em in, check for bites, get armed and baton down the hatches. Do we have any materials that we can use to reinforce the wall?
Dr. Brooke Galvant
I agree with Obadiah completely. Check them for bites and let them in if they're clean. Otherwise... hm. What will we do if they're bitten? Getting some more wood is important. Or maybe we can make our wall stone? Mr. Gonzales?
