I just imagine Edgeworth rising out of a bush to say that, then sinking back into it. XD

I have personally never watched Phoenix Wright. I'm actuallly basing my approach on Perry Mason. I only said that because I thought it would be funny.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Well, here's the way this works.

Lynching someone on day one is useful. If we don't, the mafia kills someone tonight, and tomorrow we're in exactly the same situation except with one less town member.

Lynching someone completely at random is less useful. So let's not do it completely at random! Let's lynch someone who has proven themselves to be very adept at deception in previous Mafia games.

#lynch Yellow Magic

The chance of him being a town member is the same as anyone else right now, but if he's not, it seems like it'll be a much longer time before we realize it, compared to some of the bad players.

Who would you lynch if you were basing your vote on stuff people have said today, and not yellow magic fear
Isn't CAVE just as good? I'm not against lynching Yellow Magic through your line of thinking, but doesn't CAVE fit it too?
Based off the Suikoden mafia game anyway
I mean, sure, YM can be deceptive, but like SuNa said, CAVE is likely a decent candidate if we're going that route. His, uh, wild behavior makes figuring him out incredibly difficult.

But then again, I'm not sure I like this idea anyway. I mean, lynching someone at random isn't good, but lynching someone based on something so meta seems... I dunno.

...Actually you know I'm not sure if I like this idea or hate it. Either way, it's definitely good to wait, see what (if anything) people say here on Day 1, and try to figure things out from that rather than lynching people due to their skill level.
Of course, what people say on Day 1 tends to not be so useful until later days, so... hm.

it's not a good idea because it excuses anyone 'for it' from saying anything meaningful about the game at hand, which is why I asked Lockez what I did.

i will post case tomorrow. then, I will use my gun power, but on who? (yellow magic)

Actually, I agree with LockeZ' line of thinking. I believe Jeroen_Sol hosted a game in which YellowMagic was so convincing, nobody guessed he was scum. Still, if we lynched people on the premise that they played previous games one kind of way, they'd essentially be blackballed from all games, being lynched on day one, and I don't think that's fair.

Now, to a new matter, and I think I have a legitimate case now.

I ##OBJECT to Cave_Dog_Is_Back's statement "I will use my gun power, but on who? (yellow magic)"

Firstly, Caveman appears to adamant in his badgering of Yellow Magic. There is no evidence as yet linking Yellow Magic to this crime, making Caveman's testimony prejudicial.

Secondly, his assertion that he has "gun power" makes him a possible candidate for a possible vigilante or scum. He could be lying, acting in his erratic manner, but my past experience with him tells me that there is always a grain of truth in his absurd statements.

Thirdly, it's "whom", not "who".
Well, Piano pulling out the big guns already!

I also find something interesting about his "Blackballing" argument and then bringing up the past experiences for a reason not to trust CAVE.

Well, there's a difference between going after someone exclusively on a meta argument, and going after someone who's actually behaved suspiciously and using a meta argument to support the position. Cave has claimed to have a weapon with kill ability. We know that such people are either mafia or vigilante. Don't you think such a claim is deserving of scrutiny?

If I really wanted to abuse my position and be totally heavy handed, I could just use my convict power, but I'm not going to do that unless there's dire need.
Dudesoft
always a dudesoft, never a soft dude.

I'm all for this strategy, because I've yet to see it backfire.
#nolynch

There's no evidence, no backing, no reason beyond meta-game assumptions based on play styles in previous games (which can change and evolve), and all it'll do is get us a random jailed Town.
The two arguments for and against #nolynching are basically hot air using the exact same points in their own defense. Today is a day of rest. Let's quibble all we want until time runs out, but no one is likely to give themselves up or anything gained until we see some night action reports tomorrow.
This is my stance for now.

Good afternoon, its time court reconvened and--

--our prosecutor's already used his objection powers. Right then. Ok.

I'm still in observation mode for the most part, because if I mislynch it means no powers, and I need my powers. Can't unlock Psyche-Locks without 'em.

Anyway, I had a dream Isieri accidentally revealed the identity of the detective, and I am actually debating going with that in terms of choosing my client. But as far as I'm concerned at this point you're all suspicious as hell and I'll have no qualms outing said client if they turn out to be scum.

additionally

if it pleases the court I would like to present evidence.

OUR PROSECUTOR IS ACTUALLY THE GLIMMEROUS FOP, KLAVIER GAVIN!

isieri this can't be a coincidence i don't believe it for a second

i'm not getting too into this what are you talking about

If I mislynch, I lose my powers for the next day/night phase. I'm not very afraid of that this early in the game and I don't think you should be either. Dudsoft raises good points, but I frankly feel he's drawn the wrong conclusion (I don't want to say wrong because he's really not and wrong is really an unfair word in any case.). I don't think nolynch is a good idea in any case. As long as we're lynching, we might lynch an innocent victim or we might lynch a killer. If we're not lynching, we're definitely not going to lynch a killer. And as LockeZ pointed out, they get a nightkill and will use it regardless of what they do. Rolling the dice and taking a chance is better than doing nothing. Cave lynches and he's innocent, I lose my powers for a day/night phase. Meh. I'm trying to find the killers. We'll see, either way.

Also, just to address your spurious flavor attack on my illustrious person, my dear Puddor, I'm afraid your translation is marred by your lack of understanding of musical terms. Klavier is NOT German for piano. It is merely an approximation. Klavier is German for "keyboard"! Piano is Italian for "soft"! Your honor, I move that Puddor's claims against my person be stricken from the record! It is an erroneous and facetious attempt at slandering and debasing a representative of the courts.
