I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Who would you lynch if you were basing your vote on stuff people have said today, and not yellow magic fear
I guess I would pick at random, because at this point no one has done anything yet? The only meaningful things people can really say in Mafia are explanations of actions they've already taken. That's why on day one it's almost impossible to make a better lynch than random. Fortunately we at least have metagame data from previous mafia games.
I actually decided to research this, though, instead of just relying on my shoddy memory.
People who successfully tricked everyone for the entire game and won as scum in previous games:
-Ebeth (Suikoden Mafia)
-Happy (Miller's Hollow Mafia)
-Happy (Breath of Fire Mafia)
-IvoryJones, CAVE_DOG_IS_BACK, chana, and Puddor (Demon Realm Mafia)
So uh maybe Yellow Magic isn't actually the best choice

it's not a good idea because it excuses anyone 'for it' from saying anything meaningful about the game at hand, which is why I asked Lockez what I did.
There are two ways that mafia members can die: lynches and cops. Both of these have the same problem - they can kill good guys as well as bad guys. But mafia members have a third way of killing people: nightkills. Nightkills can only kill good guys. Therefore it's advantageous to get the highest deaths-per-nightkills ratio possible, even if that means lynching blindly on day one, to maximize our chance of success.
I mean, your logic also makes sense. But not enough sense to make me agree to a nolynch.

Oh, Happy also survived and won as scum in Witch Hunt Mafia. The dude is unstoppable; I'm glad he's not playing.
There are probably more games where the scum won in the archives that I can't find because RMN's forum searching is horrifying and gives hundreds of results for the same topic

The whole "lynch on the first day" tactic is a popular one and when has it ever done us any favours? (I think like one time? There was one time we lynched a scumbag on the first day?).
Yeah, they will get their nightkill. If we lynch a townie today and they kill a townie tonight, we are literally at 6 townies and two mafia. The piano and myself don't count toward the townie count because we're immortal (hella). Not lynching today means we're less likely to kill one of our own and we'll only be down one following the night phase.
Additionally, I am phased about not having my powers, because I intend to use them tonight.
LockeZ, in the immediate game before Suikoden Mafia, Yellow Magic won as scum without anyone the wiser. Jeroen commented that YM played the best game he'd ever seen.
Puddor, you haven't objected so you're not going to lose your powers, just me, unless Caveman is scum or he somehow doesn't get lynched. Also, you must continue to use your gifs. I'm very limited in what I can do right now, otherwise, I'd add more flavor to my posts also, but I'm finding your posts very entertaining, so by all means, use any excuse to use your gifs.

Also, the vigilante (who carries a gun) is one of the Citizen roles in this game, so CAVE_DOG effectively made a Citizen role-claim...Yellow Magic isn't sure why that's seen as suspicious at this point, other than the fact he (CAVE_DOG) is probably lying.

FWIW, Yellow Magic managed to stay alive during the Death Note mafia years back and the (get this) previous Phoenix Wright mafia.
Also, also he hates this meta stuff, it's pretty bizarre that you singled out Yellow Magic at very good at deception when Yellow Magic was your teammate in one of the more recent games and he pretty much screwed up. Selective memory, or...

Also, the only powers we lose for a day are our bolded powers, which I don't think we have any. Unless the defense can bribe the judge or get kickbacks from the mob or some shit. Bold hashtag hire shifty unhygienic P. I.?

YM brings up a very good point. Perhaps I should have saved my objection. Yes, LockeZ, you never found evidence for YM's power of deception, yet pointed to him first. What have you to say to that?
I'm not going to reveal all my evidence in one go, but let's just say I have an ace up my sleeve. An ace with a blood drop on it, you could say.
I'm half kidding.
Anyway, I'm actually...on-board with YM on that one. Majority of the first three or four pages was silly banter, but LockeZ's proposal was more serious and aimed. At this point in the day I doubt we're going to bandwagon YM (isn't it like two more votes and Cave's hammered?) but it's a deliberate attempt to throw suspicion.
There's a few different people I'm watching, and a couple of others I'm considering defending. Does anyone know how long we've got left until court is adjourned for the day?
I know. I'd actually shift my objection to LockeZ at this point if I could, but I'm stuck with it. Sometimes I'm a little slow. LockeZ originally voted YM for being the most decietful, but then later can't find evidence of that deceit, and I'm the only one in the discussion that's read YM's victory in the Death Note Mafia? All that happened after my objection, but I still shouldn't have taken this long to add that up.
Also, I don't have an exact number but we're about down to around two days...somewhere between 44 and 46 hours, maybe.
I will point out that LockeZ has shifted his lynch vote to Cave, which is a less suspicious tactic and something that typically happens in every mafia game we play. Cave's general aggression makes him a popular target.
So there's every chance he reassessed his logic... or he realized that directing an attack toward YM like that was suspicious, and decided that he needed to change it.

I was pretty sure Yellow Magic had won as mafia in one of the games, because I remembered people talking about it last game, but couldn't find it after half an hour of searching, so I decided eh, maybe I was wrong. I didn't want to look like an asshole if I was accusing him of something he'd never done.
Turns out he did do it though. And I kinda think Yellow Magic himself would probably have corrected me out of narcissism if you hadn't done so first.
I'm okay with lynching either of them, I guess. Cavewoof has more votes right now so it's a more useful vote to cast, but I'll switch back to YM if it'll result in a day-one lynch.

Honestly? I'm not sure what vibe I'm getting from Cave this time. I think my Cave-dar needs readjusting after all this time away from him. Gut feeling says not Town, but Indie/Mafia is likely (leaning more towards Indie, though).
