GAMES YOU HATE OR DISLIKE?

Yeah, but you didn't play it. Also, a lot easier with a PS2 controller than a Wii-mote, oddly enough. Never had an issue drawing shapes with it and it had a pretty decent allowance for error.
Well, I guess the fact that the game pauses for shape drawing and that failing a shape doesn't have massive long-term drawbacks is a notable migitating factor.
Here's the problems with the shape drawing games in a bit of detail:
-The Void makes you draw with a very limited resource necessary for survival and the shapes don't get recognized most of the time, making the game rather frustrating.
-Lost Magic has a rather... okay shape recognition. The problem here is that the game wants you to be accurate with drawing, but the gameplay is designed such that drawing really fast is more effective.
-Wonderful 101 combines the awkward shape drawing with a terrible camera that makes it impossible to recognize game objects.
-Even if it's not for drawing shapes, The World Ends With You has very wonky stylus controls that require unintuitive motions to move and attack so you don't accidentally do the other. If that wasn't bad enough, it also adds rhythmic button inputs on top of that.
With fixed controls, I'd love each of these games (though Wonderful 101 needs a better way of visualizing gameplay elements, too)

Well, I'm perfectly fine with other people not minding the controls in TWEWY, as I think the controls are less inaccurate and more unnecessarily complex (which is also why I don't like most fighting games). After all, there's people who can consistently do Summon Suffering.
Also, there's a bunch of drawing numbers and letters in the Brain Training games, which had no problem reading my handwriting. Wonderful 101, for instance, is baffled and confused if I try to draw an L shape.

Really? I always thought Okami was the only game to ever properly use the shitty Wii-mote controls that the Wii made you put up with. Once you broke yourself in and got used to the shapes it would recognize it was really fluent and easy.
Okami is such a good game. It's the only Wii title I kept when I traded the system in on a Wii U. (well, I kept Metroid Prime 3 as well because they literally wouldn't accept it at the store. I don't blame them.)

Well, to be fair, I'm pretty bad with Wii-mote. XD
That said, the PS2 controller was surprising responsive and worked well with the game. I had no issues with it.
TWEWY... I'd rather not get into that. I maintain the best part about the game was the music, though I know it's an opinion most people don't share. Quite frankly, I thought it had potential but the grind and battles were just too ugh.

oh fe, never change
So I'm going to talk about why FF3DS is the worstest final fantasy in quick list format.
Ugh. I got beat by the last boss in FF3DS and just didn't feel like slogging through all that crap to get back and try again, so I never did beat it. I had forgotten how bad that game was XD
I asked my gf this question. Her knee-jerk answer, "Grand Theft Auto." (She doesn't like the glorified drugs, prostitution, overuse of profanity, etc)
Also Witcher 2. She played and loved Witcher 1 in preparation for Witcher 3. And was distrot to find Witcher 2 has such terrible controls. Fantastic story, terrible gameplay. She got it for xbox first, and thought it may just be console issues and tried on pc. Same issues!

author=unityI got it on iphone, and yeah... Cloud of Darkness is a royal pain. I'm currently levelling up my job classes etc. It's so boring though. When I played on pc with a rom, I could speed up time. Levelling up only took a few hours. In this it takes for freaking ever. Also, the Onion Knight is greatly shite because you get it so late.author=GreatRedSpiritUgh. I never beat Cloud of Darkness either. I had one dedicated healer spamming Cure 4 or Curaja or w/e and that was enough to beat everything up to CoD. If the healer had consistently gone before/after CoD I could've won too but two back-to-back Particle Beam Cannons was enough to kill the healer and there's no way to recover from that. I contemplated two healers spamming Curaja to increase the odds of not eating two PBCs but I'd either have to do Syrcus+WoD with it or eat the class change penalty and grind on random mobs instead of just running away and it wouldn't be 100% and I concluded "fuck all that shit, I'm gonna go watch paint dry".
Even though it may not be relative to other people's conversation. But to me I think the music in Dragon Quest 9 is bleh, its not that great in my opinion but DQ 9 is still one of my personal favorite ds games and one of my favorite RPGs in general. DQ in general would be up there if I was able to play any of the other games (Without emulation) Like 2,3,4,5,6,7,8. I have only played 9 and 1 and I don't like 1 all that much.
EDIT
Wait I forgot to mention, while some of the music is bleh to me a little hit and miss, I love the over world music theme!

I think my least favorite series is probably...... Kingdom Hearts.
Kingdom Hearts bothers me just because it feels like one of those series where they throw in all these characters people know and love, just to give everyone a bone. You know the, 'Hey, it's that guy!', or the, 'Look, it's that girl!' syndrome. Crossover games make me a little nervous, because of that, but Kingdom Hearts does it to the fullest, in my opinion.

Man, I think I heard more than five people thrashing Kingdom Hearts...
Am I the only one who likes that series? :(
EDIT: Guess my question was answered! :P

I mean, if you hate Kingdom Hearts on principle or whatever, sure, I get it. I also get not wanting to pay full price (or any money at all) on it if you don't like it.
But graphically, mechanically, visually, and musically (especially this last one, Yōko Shimomura can make some jamz) there's definitely worse games and it's not that bad. If I want to kill some time and fuck around with some Kingdom Hearts II in between major game purchases/playthroughs I can definitely think of worse games to play. People are talking as if gouging your eyes out is better than Kingdom Hearts. Come on, man.

It's definitely not the worst series in the world, but I think the story is incredibly pretentious and badly written, and I find the mechanics boring and repetitive (combat) or straight up bad (gummi ship). Also, I think the character designs are, well... Terrible. Especially the redesigns of FF characters. I've only played the first game but needless to say it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I found no reason to continue.
I always liked the sound design and music though. Especially that main theme that plays on the title screen of the first one.
EDIT: I think a lot of the (unwarranted) hate I direct at the series comes from the fact that it was originally recommended to me by a former friend who I now can't stand the thought of. So it triggers bad memories of a time in my life that I'd rather forget. Not really a good excuse, but, that's how it goes.

Exactly! Honesty, I thought there were more people here who liked that game that the people who didn't. Don't ask me why, I just thought that. XD
Like I said - I hear good things about the series and where it went, but I can't personally play it because it makes me dizzy and sick to the stomach. I've never had that issue with a game before, but every time KH will do that to me. No idea why it just does - and it's sad because while I started playing it I was having fun. I like the premise and the concept of all these worlds blending together - it's great - but I just cannot play the game. :/
Sooz
They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Y'all know you're not posting in the "Games you fukken love" thread, right? :V
I mean, if you're into the technical jazz, that's great, but it can't make up for the fact that the story's ludicrous and there's inherent tone issues with combining Mickey freakin' Mouse and co. with Squeenix's sooper-serious stories with aspirations of depth and meaning.
It's like OK I'm gonna do the Matrix, but I'm gonna put in the cast of Spongebob Squarepants, and not acknowledge that this is inherently ridiculous.
