The emptiness of KH1 is by far the worst part of it for me. I can forgive the garbage combat and physics, look past the spastic overarching story and the awful attempts at retelling the story in the original movies (alright this one is questionable too), but the emptiness of the worlds besides Deep Jungle gets to me. There's like three people in each world and it makes everything feel really flat. I remember as a kid being really disappointed in Agrabah only having the bare minimum of characters when I was looking forward to a big city.
After playing the PS2 remake of KH1 I concluded a better way to spend my time would be to rewatch the movies in the game and move on and do basically anything else.

I don't like Minecraft, or really any of these games in the new wave of "Endless Open World, Endless, Pointless Busllhit" games. Terraria, Minecraft, Starbound, Indie Game #23451, etc... Even No Man's Sky looks bloody terrible for much of the same reasons. Why even play it? It's the ultimate "go walk somewhere" game.
Diablo 3 was a huge disappointment. I don't even want to go into it. (okay I do and it's that there is no point to building your characters because only 1 stat ever matters, and you just are GIVEN your new skill in a predetermined order when you level up. It's just a drab action game, instead of a fun action RPG.)
SimCity Build It, or nearly any freemium game which butchers gameplay in completely artificial ways changing it from a game to a skinner box. But in SimCity Build It I expected to build cities... instead I had to collect resources to manage the construction of individual buildings?? I am the fucking MAYOR, not the goddamn CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN - get your own goddamn nails, I have a city to run.
Warcraft III. the whole concept of HERO UNITS ruined RTSs for a generation. I want to manage armies to wage war, not micromanage overpowered story-centric units. This concept gave birth to shitgames like League of Legends and DOTA, too. (LOL would be much more fun with more variation in maps, a lot more maps, the ability to build more units, and gather resources, and build base defenses, and also more variety of units, and if they got rid of the hero units).
Any "realistic" racing game or flying game or sports game or FPS.
It's like game designers forgot what made games fun, and instead focused on what makes them addictive. Which is not the same thing.
lastly, since people seem to be mentioning their favorite games too:
8. Dragon Warrior IX
7. Knights of the Old Republic
6. Final Fantasy VI
5. Chrono Trigger
4. Super Smash Bros.
3. Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Command & Conquer 95
1. Diablo II

Final Fantasy VI for reasons too numerous to go into right now. If you know me, you know my reasons.
I didn't list any other C&C games because so many of them seemed so bad that I didn't give them a fair shake, and felt as though it would be unfair for me to list them.
I enjoyed the original C&C, Red Alert, Red Alert 2, and Generals, though. I didn't care for Tiberian Sun, and only played a limited amount of C&C 3, RA3, and played nothing of whatever C&C 4 was supposed to be.
EDIT:
The point was that I really dislike "hero" units in RTSs, and WCIII is the prime example of that. TibSun kind of tried to do it too but failed horribly. RA3 from what I played seems to be going down a similar path, but I could be wrong. Even the amount of micromanaging you have to do in the original StarCraft was annoying (which is why I played as the Zerg more often than not - just swarms of hydralisks!). I haven't played SC2 because I object to that whole ONLINE ALL THE TIME thing for single player games (which I stomached for Diablo 3 because D2 is my all time favorite game, but fuck was I ever wrong. Which is why Diablo 3 has remained unplayed for over a year now)
E2:
With the old WCII, what annoyed me was that the two sides were IDENTICAL in terms of units and buildings, just different sprites and sound effects, and kinda different spells (but fuck micromanaging). Making the sides "balanced" by simply making them identical is lame. Which is what MMOs with "factions" do ALL THE TIME, which is also lame.

I never liked the Diablo 2 and Friends rng loot piñata games. I like the concept: action co-op rpgs, team up and punch evil!, but I don't think I ever played one that was fun beyond simply playing a co-op game. The loot explosions are 99.99% of the time garbage. I know what they are going for: Lots of garbage so when that 1% kicks in and you get an item with the potential to be an upgrade your brain decides it's time for a dopamine shot and you feel happy. Then you hit the next 1% where it didn't roll like shit and gasp! You finally got one item upgrade after hours of playing and hundreds or thousands of drops, time to double that dopamine shot!
There's more, like the combat feels flat, character progression is a trap, gold is useless, and general progression takes fucking forever. It feels like playing some kind of proto-MMORPG, something made simply to consume time while being completely unfun. Once in a while I try a new one with a buddy but it doesn't last past the night.

Sonic and the Secret Rings is notable for being the only Wii game so far that has ever enticed me to throw my Wii Remote at the TV screen (fortunately, that didn't happen). The controls are so poorly polished and unintuitive that even going through the tutorial levels felt like an impossible task, THE TUTORIAL LEVELS! I'm contemplating on pawning this piece of crap, but I dunno... I like to cherish the games I have a bit too much.
I also don't like many of the Bejeweled and Bust-a-Move clones that are littering the app market, because all they do is make me want to play Bejeweled or Bust-a-Move respectively.

You know after posting this, I actually started playing my copy of Chrono Trigger, and I actually figured out why I was never able to get it into it as much.....It just so happens the ps1 version has tons of load times...and its the only version I have, and its the only version with load times in the game, its not that bad but i was impatience most of the times I tried to play it in the past. But I decided to ignore the load times and to be honest I'm having a great time with this game! Despite the horrid load times every time you get into a battle or even open the menu.
Damn dude, never play any of the SE SNES->PS1 ports. The load times will chip away at your soul. The way the port works is that they couldn't get the whole ROM stored into the PS1's memory so it'll swap what's in memory as needed which is what creates the constant load times. Grab an emulator and a SNES ROM and it is way better.
I wouldn't blame anybody for not enjoying a game if it was one of those ports. Let the game stand or fall on its own merits, not port/tech limitations.

Oh... yeah... the PSX version was horribad with the wait times. Either get the DS version (and ignore the extra content) or get the rom for the SNES. Don't suffer through the Playstation version. Nobody deserves that pain. :<

Yeah I'll probably save up or the Ds version when I get the chance its not as much as I thought it would be, and I try my best to refrain from using emulators its more satisfying or me to play the actual game. But If I had to, for certain games,That I will never be able to own then yeah I'll use an emulator any day), if I'm not mistaking the only reason why I had the ps1 version in the first place was for FF 4 which never worked when I bought it the game was half broken and cracked badly. (I got ripped). Is that version of FF 4 horrible with load times as well?
I think so. I can't quite remember. That said, you might as well get FF4: After years pack if you're getting the game. It's on steam, actually, so there's that. Honestly, that game is on almost every console - they've remastered the poor thing to death.
The AY pack contains both FF4 and the sequel, After Years, which... isn't horrible. It has various chapters based on different characters, and some are quite interesting. Others, not so much, but still, it's a decent game.
Just don't get the GBA version (I think it was that one?). It had the difficulty of the game amped up to 11, and the game has some pretty hard gimmick bosses (fucking elf) without forcing you to play it on default extra hard mode. ;p

You're thinking of the DS version, Liberty. I don't know if they toned it down in the Normal modes or not when they redid the 3D versions or not (and I'm scared to know if they toned up the difficulty for TAY too in the 3D remake...). I think the PSP version for FFIV/TAY was the best out of the bunch, though I didn't personally enjoy TAY myself...

Okay thanks for the heads up on that I'll need to save up for that as well! And I think the version that was amped up to 11 in difficulty was the Ds version. I heard many people say it was really hard and even cheap sometimes.
FF4 PS1 is the same as the other SNES ports. Changing into the menu or battles has a few seconds of loading. It's better than the other since it's the smallest ROM of the lot and having actual battle transitions makes it feel more like the actual PS1 RPGs for loading (but without FF9's endless camera swishing).
The GBA FF4 is a port of the SNES FF4 but without any of the abilities removed in FF2/FF4 Easy Type (like Cecil's Dark Wave) and some extra postgame content including the option to build your own party instead of using the normal one at the end.
FF4 DS, which is the 3D one, was the remake from the ground up and is generally referred to as the hardest version of FF4. This was ported to PC and mobile and available on Steam. Generally recommended if you already beat the game due to the increased difficulty and how the new augment mechanic works (give shitty augments to characters that leave and they'll give augments that give good stuff basically).

I could never get into Chrono Trigger myself, but I don't think I've come across a game that I flat-out dislike/hate ( the pixel art is gorgeous though, better than FF6, which... I couldn't get into either ). I've actually progressed further in FFIV than FFVI, despite the former being much harder ><. FFX-2 was a fun romp though.
Maybe there are elements of the game that make me dislike some things ( like the main characters of certain video games like Phantasy Star 4 and FF12 ) or the occasional annoying gimmick ( bloody Zodiac Spear, you just know its Kawazu's doing, as is the entire Hunts/Bazaar System ) but it isn't enough to warrant 'disliking/hating' the games in question since their pros normally outweigh the cons.

The game isn't even out in Europe, but Fire Emblem Fates (both versions) is already looking terrible.
1. The protagonist already comes off as a massive Mary Sue - Awakening already had a main character that completely thrashes the main game as soon as someone's paired up with him. What furthers this is the fact that you're now on your own (instead of being Chrom's Bro/Wife), able to shape the story to your will, take all the glory and use Dragon Vein to alter the freaking terrain.
2. The game is overflowing with sexual deviancy - A big feature is the accessory shop, which lets you view your character in a swimsuit/ in underwear, including an underage girl. Also, there's a feature that lets you rub characters ala Pokémon-Amie, who can be sexually pleasured that way. Lastly, a support conversation with the MC and a character named Soleil involves the use of a date rape drug to "cure" her of her lesbianism and make her marry you. Even if you deny that she's a lesbian, that still portrays homosexuality as an unnatural disease.

author=GreatRedSpiritINCORRECT this honour will forever go to FF2 for being a terrible, nonsensical, not fun to play game. Even if you're not a Final Fantasy fan, I guarantee this game will stand out as the least fun of the lot.

Source: I WASTED TIME PLAYING THIS GAME IT WAS EVEN THE GBA SUPPOSED TO BE BETTER REMAKE AND IT WAS STILL AWFUL do not make the same mistake just to say you have played every final fantasy it's not worth it
