Last night after Link_2112 pretty much destroyed me and robbed me of all manliness I had (which was already pretty low since I'm using Zelda for this tournament), I have become weary. Very, very weary.

I cried myself to sleep last night.

don't feel bad, Link bodies everyone when they first play him. Mega Man has lots of tricks, but once you learn how to avoid them there is not much he can do.

In general, Mega Man wants to keep you at arm's length with his lemons (little bullets), because he can hit you with his attacks but you can't hit back. Therefore you either want to be far enough to use your own projectiles (which usually outrange his) or get up close, as aside from his dtilt his moves are very slow and you will usually hit him first.

Try to avoid standing in front of him at mid range, as getting hit with his metal blade is basically a free followup (usually grab). If you get stuck with the bomb, DON'T PANIC. You can move safely for about two seconds before it explodes, either stick it back to Mega Man, knock him away and shield, or run away and shield.

If he keeps hitting you and you can't close in on him, run away. Sometimes making somebody chase you is a good thing, because if they get too agressive and make a mistake, you get a free attack. OR you can teleport behind him, if you aim carefully you can hit him as you reappear

Nayru's Love is very useful in this matchup because it can reflect Mega Man's projectiles. It's also very useful as a 'get off me' move, but if it doesn't connect it's very easy to punish. Use wisely!

Basically you want to utilize your fastest moves, because once you get in mega man's defenses you don't have much time before he react with sheild or grab. Zelda's down tilt is a good option because it's fast and provides followups, or grab if he has time to shield. Her downsmash is her fastest smash and covers a lot of area.

I'm proud of you UPRC! Zelda is not an easy character to use by any means but I respect you for sticking with her! hang in there :)

alrighty, good games everyone, that's six for me. I wish I would've made the matches unlimited but then everyone would complain that it isn't fair. If anyone wants to do some friendly matches in 'With Friends' I'm down for that! In the meantime I'll update the rankings. I've really fallen behind in For Hyrule but I'm neck-n-neck with turkeyDawg in For Makerscore!
