[PLAY TIME] BULLET BALLOT MAFIA

I don't think we can investigate bodies this time. All we can investigate, from what I understand, is people's posts. The game we played was a VERY different beast. xD

Well, for this instance, I don't think Motive or Means matters much. First death was obligatory NPC death to get the ball rolling. The Motive was - the game needs to start. The means was - Narrator's god hand.

Honestly LockeZ suspiciousness just seems like a red herring to me. But I don't know most of the people here very well to know how to gauge that.

Piano sure is getting a lot of fingers pointed at them.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the matter? I'm looking at you Lockez and you Piano and don't forget everyone else in general!

Liberty, I'm not quite sure what to make of this rule. Does this mean that when someone declares who they're going to vote for and they don't get penalized, that is proof they do not hold a power at that moment?

Okay, I feel I've had confirmation that Kloe is definitely a newbie. S/He also reads town to me.

Kloe, in mafia, you have to talk. You have to. There's no point playing mafia if you don't talk. The reason we talk is to try and find the scum among us. Now, the reason Kloe is looking at me is because I'm highly active. I talk. I talk a lot. Kloe, at the moment, you are actually much more suspicious than me. The one saving grace is that you weren't talking at all. So you weren't even avoiding a mod-kill, which means you were busy.

To clarify, I don't suspect you, but do you see how your lack of action doesn't look good in a game of mafia? Some players will interpret it as trying to avoid saying something incriminating.

I don't put much weight on Kloe's suspicions, and Ratty is the only other one who's suspicious of me. Everyone who knows me knows that I that I talk and that I often take the lead if I can. Kloe's only reason for looking at me is that I'm talking and trying to "change things". Well, frankly, you should be doing the same thing. It's called moving the game along.

Now, let's address the problem of Ratty, and yes, it's a problem. Funny how I get the finger pointed at me by the person I pointed a finger at. I'm convinced to vote for Ratty.

1. At the start, he only posted once, and with that, he only posted his intention to vote.

2. He didn't post again until we brought up how quiet he was being.

3. His second post was made exclusively to make meta claims against three players. Let me explain to newbies what a meta-claim is. Ratty could find no reason from this discussion to accuse someone, so he pointed out our actions in other games to put suspicion on us. As Jeroen pointed out, this is often a scum move to try to weed out stronger players.

4. He hasn't posted again since.

5. In his second post, he did not bother to defend his lack of posting.

With so much time past and so little time left, where Ratty is concerned, I feel he's reached the eleventh hour. He's had ample opportunity to defend himself and hasn't taken it.

I haven't really seen anything contradictory. And yeah, Ratty's most certainly an experienced player. I've been in four or five games with him.

@Kloe: sorry! We just had a conversation in another thread about not being able to identify people by their avatars. Also, there's no need to apologize. Trial and error is all part of the game...that and logical fallacies. Logical fallacies everywhere, in every mafia!

Hmm... This sounds a little bit too defensive for a day 1 post to me, especially considering there were only two people who were suspicious of you.

With as little time left as we have, I think I'm going to vote for Ratty. He's at the top of my list, and although I'd like him to post a bit more so I can get a better read of him, we are running out of time for the day. I'll hold off voting until the end of the day, though.
