[MAFIA] - SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI {GAME OVER}
Posts
Fun idea: Look at the people who are paired together somehow, and lynch one of them.
At the moment there's demonlord and LockeZ, who both stated that they only knew of four factions in the beginning.
Who mentioned Day 6? One of them was demonlord. Who else?

No, I don't think no-lynch is legitimate here.
Basically, as part of my night 0 action, I got to learn that there's an "end of the world" event. I'm trying not to reveal more until I know how it could be dangerous. But my point is, I'm thinking there's a timed element to the game that possibly gives chaos/scum another win condition that involves ending the world rather than killing all town.

I also know some information related to psys. I know that something is supposed to happen on day 6, though I don't know if it's related to the end of the world event or not (though it seems extremely likely).
psy and demonlord.
Also, I found this interesting:

Hikitsune, and probably Liberty, Cave gave psy a set time for the end of the world. Nolynch is probably a really bad idea in this game.
Has no-one else heard of this supposed event? We only have two people so far who brought it up.
One the one hand, they might both be right.
On the other hand, one might be playing funny buggers by using the other person.
- psy bought up the idea of a world ending event, citing a power use from Night 0 bringing him the information. (What kind of power would give that kind of information, btw?)
- demonlord jumped on it, giving a specific day, though he doesn't know for fact what the event is, just that something is supposed to happen on Day 6. He's assuming it has to do with what psy brought up, but it's just as likely that it might not be so.
- piano jumped in back up psy and push for lynchings. He says that Cave gave psy a set time (not true) for the end of the world (also not proven true - the time was given to demonlord but it's not confirmed that it's for a world-end event, just that there will be an event on Day 6).
I'm not saying that the two couldn't be both true. Likely, they both are, however we can't just ignore the idea that it could be a cleverly staged plot to try and 1) make us push for more deaths faster and 2) give one or both an alibi by sharing such game-changing information.
I know there's an end of the world event, nothing about day 6 though. The fact that there's a "patience" faction makes me think that the end of the world could a game over for everyone else, patience wins. Which could explain why there are so many no-lynches.
Also, fun fact: if all the factions are actually "factions" and not individuals, then the setup is 6 teams of 2, then Frogge the Confused. So I think it's very likely that there are 2 chaos.

I... Guess there is nothing
This is a good point, at least in the sense I would have no conception as to why a Patience faction would exist for anything else, and a no lynch would work to their benefit.
I'm tempted to go for a #lynch Liberty here, only because she seems to be making an extensive effort to advocate for a no lynch compared to anyone else.

I always go for no lynch, when it makes sense not to kill ourselves off prematurely. There's going to be a night kill as it is, and you want us to lower our numbers.
I haven't been pushing for a no lynch, though - I've been pointing out why we can't just trust that all the information we're getting as straight truth. People assume too much. How many of you were convinced that Day 6 = game end but forgot that the two sources who gave that information didn't actually say that? It alluded to a game end in one case. The other alluded to a Day 6 event. People just convinced themselves that they're the same thing and I'd look at the people who were pushing those ideas as a surety if you did want to lynch someone.

I agree with Ratty to #Lynch Liberty
My night 0 action told me that her power is somehow important for LYLO. When I asked, I got clarification that LYLO was the End of the World. I didn't think anything of it. The information seemed vague and incredibly useless, but now that I see how staunchly Liberty is standing against the idea, I'm having second thoughts about that.
She's insisting that the End of the World is somehow a ploy to get people to back off of no lynch. Meanwhile, she has a power that (suggested, not explicitly said, suggested) that has it's use at the End of the World. And then she comes on here and says that she has clarification of her power. It seems to me that Liberty may also have confirmation of this world ending event and is hiding it. I'm not saying this is definitely the case, but it may very well be given what I vaguely know of her power.
By the way, in case you're wondering, my power doesn't explicitly identify people. So even though I've investigated Libby, I have no idea what her alignment is. Per usual, I could still be completely wrong about her, and the assumptions I've made could be way off base. And yes, I do know that the End of the World is on Day 5.
Yeah, I slipped saying that psy got a set time. I actually have no idea what he was given. I got a set time.

I think Frogge's claims are not phrased very clearly, and people have been making assumptions based on his bad wording. I also think there's a possibility that Hikitsune-Red is taking advantage of that confusion to invent a new faction for herself. This post has had its soul-searched by an empathetic demon! Lockez does not maintain out-of-thread communication with any of the names he mentions here!
Sorry guys, can someone explain to me what just happened here? Is this a power role?
Hmmm... Libby seems both suspicious (well, she always does, but really suspicious) and if we're gonna lynch anyone, we need to decide soon. I feel Libby is a great candidate for that (sorry Libs) so I vote to #lynch Liberty
Also "empathetic demon". It seems like a small detail, but YM (or any other person who knows SMT) does that fit any character's description? Maybe that can be used as some sorta clue to something?

Looks like you have a truthsayer power and it just said that LockeZ doesn't have any out of thread contact with any of the people in that post.
If it's not on the thread, then where did Nessy get it? I'm pretty sure I would have remembered those police sirens.

This was the post. It was right before the page break so I guess it's easy to miss.

Going to go ahead and #lynch liberty for the reasons listed. Among the people whom I believe to be town, liberty isn't among that list. I also don't have any better leads at the moment.
@piano I'm trying to follow, but I'm not sure how end of the world is equivalent to lylo. Lylo can't really have a set time. For instance, you say it's on day 5. But if we lynch all chaos before then, presumably the game ends. Or if we constantly no-lynch, lylo is much later. It can't have a fixed day. Plus demonlord mentioned something on day 6, which would be unreachable.
re: Liberty, agreed #lynch Liberty and if her power isn't relevant at eow and/or lylo, we have a lead tomorrow.
@Nessiah Yeah I think it's an anonymous investigation role, which seems useful. I think it would be useful to put together a post to test with that for tomorrow but not sure how it works so it's hard to say. It'd false id on masons, and as Cave pointed out in the day 1 post, everyone is an "informed minority." I think today's usage of it was good. If any of the people LockeZ listed flip chaos, LockeZ is vindicated.
@Frogge who are you thinking of investigating next night?

My power is an investigative type - one that I wasn't sure was useful with only three presumed parties (at the time of that post you reference I only knew of a possible three alignments. No names of them, though.)
Basically, I can investigate any three people at a time but if any of them are in the same alignment, their powers are null and voided for that day/night phase. I needed to double-check about alignments, whether it was just chaos or those in the same alignment that got nulled (or if is everyone I checked), whether I can pick only one or two instead of three (it's a full three >.<; ).
Not sure why it would be tied up to the End of the World - I never got any information about that at all. I think you're lying.
