WHAT TO DO IF YOUR GAME SUBMISSION IS DENIED/PENDING
Posts
I assume a game that requires external software, such as the tools that your program needs to run, would fall into a similar category as RPG Maker games that require the RTP to run. In that case, linking to said external software might be on the gamepage's description with a "Important notes about running the game" header.
Saying that, having exactly one thing to download would probably be more attractive.

I assume a game that requires external software...
And hardware...
I should probably just hold out till the semester is over, take a big nap, and then develop when I'm not sleep deprived. Normally not a good situation to work under...
That said,I should be able to make a C version that is one download/install for any OS. Make the end users life easy.
Thanks for the help.
The King of Egypt, known for being an ignorant man by his people, decides that every sin is legal, while his family remains unharmed. His son,Radames, the first born Prince is the only one of the royal family that is against this Idea. But he is too young to change anything and when he is finally old enough to influence his folks it is already too late. The people, totally out of control, decide that the prince and the rest of his family have to die. And so, it happens. With no royalty left, the land soon begins to fall into worse chaos then before. Death and decay are the result, death and decay that gives birth to a creeping shadow of darkness that swallows every single droplet of life. but in the ruins of the fallen kingdom still lays a single child, born from one mistress of the king, protected by his mothers dead body. He is the rightful king of Egypt, but the shadows left a deadly mark on him.

Hi My game post was denied for being bland with the map. I do apologize for being a jerk about this but I just started the game a week ago and have been working on so much and when I was told to post the map I had to map to post so I made a general idea of what is would look like. I want to have the hold game setup as far as levels before I create one to completion but don't want to post my game after it is done as that won't help with feedback and questions about it. What is my best cause of action? Thanks again!

I'm having more than a little trouble understanding your post, but, it sounds to me like you want help with your mapping? At which point, I would direct you to the screenshot thread.
I've added a third screenshot of the game to my game. Does it mean it's automatically in the queue again? Or do I need to do something else.
I don't think you can proceed unless you have the minimum of each category.
If you go to submissions (don't choose submit anything,) then choose games. It should list it as pending.
You may also be able to see it if you go to your name and select manage games.
It's not showing up. Hover over your name in the top left and click on manage games. From there you can choose your game then update/edit stuff like images and the like. It's always a good idea to add more than just the bare minimum.
Sorry, this comment may not fit here, although I think it's related to the topic.
So I've filled in the questionary with my game's description and uploaded the mandatory screenshots, but...
...How do I upload the actual game archive? Do I have to wait for the description and images to be approved? Did I miss something?
Sorry again for bothering you, I'm freakishly clumsy when it comes to these questions.

You have to wait for it to be approved before you can add the actual file of the game itself. I'll be going through them a little later, so it shouldn't be too long as long as your game profile meets site standards. I recommend checking out a few other profiles on the site to see if yours matches up and edit if it needs a little more added, while you wait. ^.^
Can I do this?
I looked at my long dead game page for The New Earth, and was like... "I can either create a new game page from scratch or I can rename this one." I don't want to get rejected off the bat for doing something weird.
Do I need a demo yet, or just the three pictures? It's been awhile.

Okay, so I went through a spell check on my description, and everything is running fine, the only "mistakes" are just some of the names that aren't really used like Zack <-There, that did a spelling error. And like showing features like YSA <-did it again.
Does the description get denied when there's so many like that? As for the grammatical errors, I noticed that little thing which I have gone and fixed, I'm just curious if there is too many spelling mistakes like that will it get denied automatically or something?

If there's spelling and grammar issues, then it will usually be denied, yeah. You'll get a note telling you what to look out for and a link to the description thread if it seems like you need the help fixing it up.
In the case of your last game, I know you have a decent grasp of English and assumed that you probably were tired when making the description, thus missing some of the grammatical/spelling errors. But yes, if there's errors you'll get a deny until it's fixed. ^.^)b

Okay, I get it. So for the time being, if I just correct all the "spelling" mistakes that are mostly made up words and stuff, then try again, it should run through.
Then once it's accepted, I can re-add some of the stuff I wanted to put in the description later, will that be fine then?
Thanks for the help btw. Yeah, I wrote it up quickly to get it out of the way, and I usually type to fast and fail to notice the errors when I don't look back on it. XD

I got "Mock-ups won't do for the required images, sorry. There need to be 3-5 in-game images that show actual gameplay. At least one of those needs to be a map-based image."
But none of my images is a mockup, they are all in-game, and there is a map-based image... the only thing is that the map-based one has test npcs in it, but I won't be making actual maps to the game until much later
