I got Pokemon Soul Silver today now that it's finally out in the UK. Only beaten Falkner so far but I am absolutely loving it =)

Game came out two days ago here! Got 7 badges so far and I'm feeling very unlucky. It seems if an attack has any chance of making me flinch, it will make me flinch. Uggh.

UGGGHH! I want TM and moves taught by the move tutor that can only be obtained at the Battle Frontier, but the BF is shitty and too difficult and takes too long...and the payoff is certainly not worth the effort.

I thought that too, but the Battle Tower's actually worth it and not as difficult as some of the others. I think I have a couple of hundred BP on Platinum.
Ahhh, remakes of probably the most revolutionary series in Pokemon...nostalgia is sweet. Gonna get them ASAP so I can ragestomp Kanto again

Really? I have trouble getting past the second set of battles in a row in the Battle Tower. I actually am having a pretty easy time in the Battle Hall, though...where you can only use 1 PKMN. Yeah, I got to and beat Hall Matron Argenta...and I'm working on getting to her for the second round. (and, for some reason, she used Typhlosion when I fought her...my Feraligatr kicked it's ass in two turns)
EDIT: Also, I...CAN'T...STOP...PLAYING...THIS...FUCKING...GAME. Just beat Red/Ash; my PKMN are all Lv. 76 ('cept for my Weavile...it's only Lv. 68).

Can't wait to get a Xatu, IIRC you could get a Natu earlier in Silver than in Gold? I hope so

How did you get your levels so high :|?! I'm on my way to fight Red now and my highest level is 51!

I'm just about to fight Jasmine, everyone's about almost level 30 but then I only really use four at the moment. Enjoying this a lot so far, but taking my time. I assume that you get to transfer in from Ruby/Fire Red once you've beaten the champion or somewhere around there, looking forward to that. It's good that you don't have to have encountered the legendary dogs by luck at least once to be able to track their positions. And that they included Suicune's sidequest from Crystal, as well.

1 of 2 reasons. I only added a new pokemon to my team everytime my pre-existing ones gained ten levels (like, when my Croconaw, Flaaffy, and Noctowl reached level 30, I added Heracross to my team.) Also, I level evenly.
If it's not that--my leveling regiment--then it's just because I'M FUCKING AWESOME.
Also, I only had four main pokemon when I beat the elite four...I never have a full party when I face them (by full party I mean of permanent members of my team...when I faced the elite four the first I had Lugia and the shiny red Gyarados as fillers, but I'd only send them out if I needed to heal up my main four PKMN.) Essentially, I'm up so high in levels right now cause of the way I train...and because I've playing the game everyday since I got it... >.>

catch a geodude, teach it rock smash. repeatedly spam. whitney goes down. easiest gym battle ever.
also i have a crobat and i haven't even done the fourth gym. :D god i love the pokewalker.

goddamnit I actually had a geodude in my party and expressly caught a different one to teach rock smash. :' ( this was after not playing for too long and so not remembering about the move deleter deleting HMs.
Crobat one of the rare ones that the pokewalker lets you catch early on, or did you have a Golbat in there and it increases happiness? I keep forgetting to actually try the pokewalker. I'm kind of worried that it'll overlevel them a bit, but thinking about it it probably goes quite slowly?

Bit worried about the fourth gym leader however. I used a Golem in Gold to beat him but now that abilities have been introduced I'm probably screwed against Gengar. Togepi knows Extrasensory for some weird reason so I suppose that's what I'll be using.
EDIT: The sense of nostalgia is overwhelming; all of a sudden I remember the kid in my neighbourhood who introduced me to Pokemon through Silver so long ago. Wonder what he's upto these days.
EDIT EDIT: Now that I think about it didn't he start hating me right before I moved? ....what a dick that guy was :(
