fan list of gen 5 ideas which are mostly pretty cool, pulled Dunspare evolution from there
Pokémon is a fun game. I wonder how people STILL BUY FFI in EVERY re-release. But it's even worse with pókemon. The games, progression wise, are like pókemon 1, pókemon 1,1, pokémon 1,2... Gets boring, they're basically the sane, no depth in the story, either. All my friends are brainwashed by it, tough. G.G

I have bought every single generation of Pokemon since RBY. I do not intend to stop any time soon. I realize they are formulaic like a motherfucker, but it's a formula that I like well enough that it hasn't gotten old for me yet. I recently discovered 1) there is a league that meets on the island I live on and 2) how fun the competitive metagame can be. Because this league meets in the middle of nowhere and most of them are younger folk, myself and a friend can waltz in there every two weeks and cream them all with our masterfully bred teams (and alternate teams, because we literally spend 3/4 of our time together breeding and calculating EVs and IVs and all of this has led to lots of super tough experiment pokemon) and then educate them a little bit more before we leave. So the experience has expanded a bit beyond the games themselves.
TL;DR- pokemon = formula, but it rocks and i've always liked it.

No one plays pokemon for the story.
And yes, formulaic is the magic word, though not repetitive in my opinion. Every gen, a good slew of new mechanics are thrown in, and with 100+ new critters to mess with, not to mention all the past ones being completely revamped to fit the new mechanics, it never gets old.
I swear I cannot play gen 1 anymore, it is just too different a game then say, HGSS.

I hate how literally the first non-mascot legendary they revealed is a damn event Pokemon. I could see this event Pokemon thing getting really out of hand in these games, there were already WAY too many in Platinum and HG/SS, theres probably gonna be like twice as many this time around.
Really I just dislike how a series with the slogan "Gotta catch em all!" forbids you from catching them all without doing some stupid bullshit that most people can't.

They stopped the "Gotta catch em all" slogan campaign sometime in the 2nd gen I believe. They knew it was getting out of hand.

I care about the story, in a way that they would just change it up every now and then. I remember some fan-game where you worked for team rocket, that was pretty neat. It comes to the point where even dumb fan games made in rpg maker are more interesting than the main pokemon game gamefreak keeps remaking. Enjoy your remakes i guess....

Apparently when we play the game we can see other real life trainers in game as well, if this is true then Black and White is an MMORPG.
(I laughed really hard when they snuck one white kid into the video full of asian kids, lol diversity.... hahahahaha)

...Which is cool. I actually like their design too. Of course it looks a little silly, but I'd expect nothing less of Gamefreak this far into the series; they've established that the "teams" look silly like this (except for Team Rocket, of course; that was the only team whose design was rather calm).
So yeah... Why DON'T they look calm? Team Rocket is the only team that actually looks normal, let alone actually look like villainous gansters and not psychopaths who get their costumes from Spirit, the Halloween costume store. Maybe Team Magma was the only exception to this.
