Dammit! Now I want to try making a game in Ace Lite just to see what could come out of it. But it has too many restrictions!

Why is "Call common events" disabled? Why can't I check if a number is being pressed? Rm2k3 could do that! Ugh! >_<
It's to make people buy the full version I guess haha.
But the full version of Ace you can't make a skill of type switch though either...
Currently working on releasing the demo version of Eden Hall. It's a short estimated 30 minutes of gameplay. Hope you guys will be checking it out. Download coming up very very soon!
I decided to finnish mapping the 8th Floor of my game before February was over. I completed the last map in a matter of seconds before midnight and it almost killed me! (Note that I decided this just about 2-3 days ago! Somewhere between 50-100 maps were done during the process).

Now I just need to prepare for a comeback-update on Sunday for the game here on the site! (It's been quite dead for months it seems...)

I just finished an eventing interface for the ika editor, and got rid a whole lot of bugs, mainly in the database interface, and added +3 layers (total of 6) to the mapping interface... It is just complete now ^^.
Meanwhile I just write a game interpreter in python itself (which translates event commands to python). A few days, and I may start working on my game (yay :D)... (The editor, and interpreter are in development for more than a year and half now...)

Currently I am thinking about releasing the editor + interpreter as a utility to the ika engine.

I just go play some games on this site... I need to relax a bit ^^
Still mapping of course~ Though I did completely remap one dungeon (hurray!). I'm honestly not sure WHAT to remap though...@_@;;

Though Eternia's Promise is taking a short demo break :p, whether it's interesting, as a distraction of some sorts, It'll come a habit of uploading 1000s of projects on this site and never finishing them, I decided to whip a new project idea in my obvious collective idea mind, called "Desperation Of A New Era".

About the history of a world through the eyes of many characters that have to deal with a post-depression and how it affect them, it's still an RPG no doubt. Each point in the on going story will serve save points so you don't have to watch them all over again, though likely you can skip the intros, then get to the game already. But the prologue/s will be quite long.

So each upload, if I can upload a game without taking 5 or 6 hours from other sites. But because I had projects around 400 MB. Because of MP3. CURSE YOU!

It might be a slow paced story, with a large intro, which the story will be based more than game play, which will be separate as a prologue, a story type, low volume control of characters to introduce them. As Part 2 will be when the game really begins to take control.

It will piece together a history that will vastly go beyond reason to figure what the story is really about, and what now. Though the main part of the story is about some kingdom, called Nurama of the world Arthan. It's a early stand on what I can or what I can't do yet. So Eternia's Promise will still be worked on, until I get some kind of comments from it, and I'll continue.

I don't remember if i post this here before, if so tell me.
@MrChearlie: The first one seems good, though I can see where issues would arise (is this all one map? Or is it multiple maps stitched together?). For instance, there's no trunks under the canopies at all. Well actually, that's about the only real thing I see wrong myself (kinda reminds me of a Zelda map in a way. Huh...).

Second map has me confused as to the heights of things, but that's probably the perspective throwing me off there. It doesn't seem that bad either personally.



As for myself, still revamping my old maps. It's taking a while, but I think I'm finally getting them down better. Event mapping is a godsend, but also a curse since now that means I can actually DO more things, which means...I can do more things. Wanna work on the story darnit! Yes, I know...I could wait to revamp the older maps and do story, but if I don't do the maps now, then it'll never happen later. >_<

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Yeah you're not using that canopy autotile even remotely close to correct at all, to the extent that I don't think you even realize it's supposed to be a canopy. Like you have trees going up above it at one point in the middle, WTF? So yeah, that dark green area with the trim of leaves around it is supposed to be a treetop canopy.

Here's one of Liberty's maps that does it correctly as an example:


Waterfall map is missing some basic depth perception, and I can't tell what any of the stuff on that tower is supposed to be. Is that like a vertical stack of sewer half-entrances that each have a tiny waterfall spilling out of them and then the water vanishes in mid-air three feet below where it starts, or what? Or are those things that look like waterfalls actually blue awnings out in the middle of nowhere for no reason? And then there are some random blue squares? I'm extremely confused. The path of the water flowing down the cliffs makes sense, so I'm glad you did that well, a lot of people would mess that up.
Currently working on several things; mapping a large forest, as well as a prison built inside of a solitary island. Outside of mapping though, I'm mostly just concentrating on spriting, which I think will take the majority of my time. I have a few sprites made already, but I'm no pro so..yeah, it takes me awhile.



Well, the canopies were made on purpose I even knew they were used as Liberty says, but The map was a reconstruction of a memory so I wanted the place to look like incomplete, like some strange force was eating the map kind of what was forgotten and I actually like the WTF look of it since it actually gives it a bit of surrealism.

And about the second one, yeaaah... the idea was pretty improvised, I wanted it to be water theme but I wanted to do something unique using the rtp (at the end I made some slight modifications) I like the combination of tiles thought, the water, the marble rock, the bushes, even the weird windows on the high tower, but it was just threw all random and fast so it looked like a kind of a water pyramid, but it really don't have sense if you try to associate it with something, it is just a *silly* map. And just notice the depth and it is very wrong indeed o.o.

It doesn't look odd like surrealism, though. It just looks odd like bad mapping. There's a difference, but I don't know how to make it look right, so all the advice I can give is to make the plants pink and purple or something. XD
hahaha, I guess my intentions of surrealism eating thing are hard to get with the rtp, but anyway those were for an incomplete game for the Cook-Off event, but will consider to do better the next time a I use an rpg maker (if I ever use it again) thanks for the opinions :)

Working on Desperation Of A New Era Intro/Episode 1. Episode 1 and 2 will be intros, just to get some storyline and a larger intro to a game I don't keep doing to my other games, so quickly :p. And the rest of the episodes will be playable. My internet connection seems to be slow at the moment waiting to wait around 8-9 hours just to upload something.

Well, actually there is two part intros, that are seperate in files. One for Allen, and at the end, a girl at the end makes a appearance to enter Kand City, which starts off her story. Allen is the prolouge intro story

I have some story on what could be going on, I'll write it up sometime.
