Trying to get a basic beta build of M:R ready before I sleep but uuuugh I think I'll just sleep and finish it off Monday.
Today I did a lot of monster tuning, I also updated the graphics for some enemies, such as Puddings.
There used to look like this:
They now look like this:
Also started doing some quick text tutorials about stuff. Along with making "toughie" enemy battles. Like so.

Those ghost things look a LOT more improved!

I'm hard at work on my contest entry. Specifically eventing the AI that will tell the enemy character what "stance" he should be in (each stance is a different enemy with different priorities on his moves).
Once the contest game is done, I'm gong back to Mayhem Maiden to continue re-balancing the difficulty, as well as implementing the weapon system.

The last week has been all heavily focused on getting Menagerie: Remastered ready for an in-company alpha testing phase. But I haven't skipped it on end game stuff.
I'm also adding "Toughies" which are like regular enemy except one toughy enemy, they drop much more valuable loot, though! Here's just one of them.

Those look pretty cool neike
On my progress, well as it turns out I'm currently uploading a very early alpha build of M:R on mediafire for a couple employees of mine to test out, still much to be done before it's ready for the public's eye, but it's a milestone cleared.

Overhauling some of Enelysion's visuals for the game's final release, slated for sometime in late September/early October. The game is also undergoing a bit of a rewrite ( but details will come in a blog post ).
I prefer this cutscene style. Cleaner and a lot more professional looking.
Updated battlebacks/monsters.

I animated my title screen instead of doing anything productive.
degrading HD graphics to fit with my mspainty cel-shaded shit :3
see?

author=slashphoenixCan confirm, databasing in RPGmaker is atypically enticing.
I am making databases in Unity3D. This is not as fun as actually putting stuff ~into~ the database.
SPEAKING OF.

This is all I've done recently and it's not even part of my main project. :/
Getting assets together for a trailer for M:R and beginning work on optional content.
For example, here's a very rough concept of sketch I did for Dimension Pi and it's architecture.

Here's a little concept I drew a while back of City 17 (Galaxion city you commonly visit in Menagerie)

Designing and modelling out a character for my school's Studio Project. Supposed to finish the whole project by end of next week. Hopefully I can rig it and make a gameplay video or something with it in time cos' so behind time XDD

The past couple days I took a break from all sorts of saving and loading code to add a bunch of new abilities and enemies, and I made a little gauntlet mode to test out how fun or interesting my battles were at the simplest level.
Turns out they're pretty fun! Combinations of randomly-assigned support and attack skills can play off each other in some cool ways, and while some combos are obviously better than others (for example, a support skill that gives your next attack poison + an attack that hits all enemies), the challenging part is trying to survive as many battles as possible with a less-than-optimal skillset.
Now I just want to add more and more abilities and weird enemies until I reach a critical mass, hehehe...
TLDR: Battles are good! I didn't waste my time!

I might take a hiatus from M:R to work on a game using wholly this new art style.
I really, really like it.

I really, really like it.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Oh, you apparently leveled up in shading or something. Nice.
Her hair is unconvincing but I like the rest of her.

author=LockeZWell thanks, what I'm really fond of is the thick dark and really smooth outlines.

author=LockeZThat's entirely my fault for deciding from day one that her hair would be unspeakably stupid and illogical.

I'll probably do one of the Galaxions now, I don't feel in the mood to dev currently so it's all arty art stuff. Which is good because I'd done none for the last 4 weeks or so :(
