On the actual topic: Grinding closer to my goal of 20 missions, after a brutal session of bug-hammering this morning.

I'm becoming more and more sure that I'm the slowest developer that the community has.

*cough, cough*

Began the rather arduous task of populating the first ( and rather large, aka 75x68 tiles ) city in LoTL. I mentioned it in my last blog post, but I'm focusing on making a few large cities that can really draw the player into the game world, rather than making ten 5 minute-long snorefests of towns that populate so many RM games.





I have overcome my writer's block somewhat, but only because I forced myself to write something, anything, no matter how mundane it might have seemed.

Due to the larger resolution coming to MV, I can still make some very necessary changed to the HUD in PFC. Such as having active powerups show a picture above the health bar, instead of being splattered over the screen like so:

Very messy.

Also some new weapons are coming along, with means a larger quick select. There's also going to be 10 different power ups now, rather than five.

After creating/importing some assets for my NoRM event game, I started messing trying to actually make the game in Stencyl.

So far it's not going smoothly. I'm having difficulty figuring out how to set tile collisions properly. My character keeps falling off the screen! :(
Spent an entire day bug-testing my game up to its current point. Added a bunch of new features to the battle system that'll definitely be taken advantage of for future bosses and for some of the actors. I was thinking of adding a counting-up clock for time records, but I didn't really see a point, so I nixed that.

Production's still coming along smoothly in general. I'll probably have some screenies and gameplay videos/new info up in the coming weeks. I MIGHT have to push the second demo date up to the end of the month or the beginning of November, but I doubt it.

At the moment, while I've hit a bit of a road block with Steel Spirit SaGa, I'm working on a grungy cyberpunk game called Solitaire Unravelling. The whole idea, story and setting is going to hopefully be utterly depressing.

Other than that, when I'm not using Rm2K3 I'm writing a novel.

I totally changed my plans for no-rm game yesterday. Now, I got a story of a assassin and his family. I'm trying to make it as top-down as possible with minimal number of pixels. My protagonist's sprite reminds something between the guy from gunpoint and Nuclear Throne's characters drawn by demented coder for an intelligent calculator.

Optional Boss designs, mostly. Also character outfitting. I can't do much outside of work on Boned until MV is out, so most of what I am doing is concepts.

Though I've also been rewriting a lot of P:A, I haven't bothered updating any systems or such since it's likely I'll be handling a lot in MV via plugins, but writing is so important to get right!

That's cool Frogge, but I'd rather turn Brightness UP than darkness UP.

Been working on my first game, well after many incomplete tries with different concepts. Since I bought RM2003 on Steam, that's what the game's going to be worked at. I also wanted to finally tackle this experimental idea of finishing a game on 1 map screen, so that's how it'll be! (Though technically it's 2 interior areas on a single 40x40 map, anyways.) Screenshots would be kind of pointless for this reason.

Welp...

This is me making a video without any emphasis for content.

Basically it's a trailer for a planned community game but I'm gonna make it in MV so i just had to use shit on my computer and a couple things off the internet.

Indrah will be best character, hands down. I'm working on laying concepts down, as well as who's gonna be in and who's not.
