I'm really surprised that nobody here seems to use gogo, he is one of the most useful characters imo.

Been a while, but i think the final party i used was Terra, Edgar, Cyan and Mog. And I remember a few of my party members did die though. Can't remember who...

Tardis reply's towards me tend to be on the snide side.
My favorite party was Edgar, Celes, Relm, and Locke. It's probably stronger to swap Edgar for Terra, but she doesn't have a motherfucking chainsaw. Relm was my strongest caster, while Celes was almost as strong but had the nifty Runic blade. Locke was my Genji/Offering guy.
Early and mid game without cheese and power leveling: Edgar, Cyan, Sabin, and Shadow rule the day.
For end game invincibility and cheese: Terra, Celes, Locke, Edgar. Terra can basically destroy the universe by blinking too hard so I don't really see much point in worrying about end-game parties... FF6 is astoundingly easy to beat.

Cyan, while cool as fuck, is probably one of the worst, if not the worst, characters in the game. His slow speed and his SwordTech abilities pretty much put him all the way in the back. However I still give the man his due from time to time.
I'm a big Edgar guy, generally.
I really liked Cyan. I played on an emulator so I just had battles on super speed. His time bar meant nothing to me. Mwahaha.

I haven't beaten FF6 since I was 12 (I'm now 27), so I just got one small question.
SPOILERS ON AN OLD GAME COMING UP
Wasn't the final boss battle in FF6 technically with all 12 characters? What's this picking four characters business? Pick whoever, and if they die you can use the next ones, no?
Anyways, while rocking around in the World of Ruin, I liked having Locke because he's rad, and Edgar, Cyan and Sabin because they're powerful men.
Also, calling someone out for calling FF6 old school? I'll call you out on that.

And generally it was these four heroes due to sentimental reasons. First off, Locke was always my favorite character. And naturally I had to have Celes with him. And then I had Sabin, the motherfucking powerhouse, and Edgar as well, since they're brothers.

Also, what's the Gau ability with Charm? I am just at the point where I got Gau and I'm wandering around the veldt looking for dudes to leap.

Yeah but when your showing your game off to people (which I happen to do all the time) I'm not going to show them the last battle vs. Kefka, I'm usually just slaughtering dinosaurs with my level 90 characters....
In fact usually I just use Locke with the Genji Glove & Offering and no one else.
Yeah I was going to start this thread as final party in Suikoden but I thought people would get too confused with 108 characters.
