After clearing Ravier's Alpha test, you are informed about an impending threat of a coup d'etat by the Caladium Forces. At the same time, you're told of a mysterious illness afflicting students and staff members visiting Valor Academy. Convinced that Black Galax is the cause, you set out with your friends to investigate the school, only to learn of a horrifying history that plagues the school grounds, unresolved for 25 years...

Synopsis:
█████████ ████ █████ █████ ██ ███ ██████ ███ ███ ███ ████ ████ ███████ ██ ███████████ ███ ███████ ████ ██ █████ ██ █ ██████████ ███████ ████████ ███ ██████ ████████ ███████████ ███ ██ ████████

Introduction:
Black Galax: Rewrite is a DIRECT sequel to Black Galax: Revert. You will need a completed save file from Revert to play this game. Black Galax: Rewrite has █████ ███████ ███████ ███ ████ ███ ████ ████████ █████ ████████ ███ ████████ ███████

However, if you've lost your save and don't wish to replay, it is possible to start from a new game with preset character levels, items and etc.

Gameplay Features:
Gameplay will largely revolve around Turn-Based combat, but it also combines elements of Real-Time action Battles and elements of Court Trials to spice up gameplay. While Court Trial will not return, elements of it will remain.

Features:
1. Plot plot plot! (Finally, the ending of the game!)
2. Side Story Quests (Maybe a sequel to Revert's side quests?)
3. Stealthing around - (There may be TOO much Stealth-related missions)
4. Achievements (Yes, I'm adding more)
5. Tons of puzzles (Keeping in tradition with the previous game!)
6. Instead of equipment, you have over 40 'Charms' to customize your characters! (Get em' all!)
7. Can zombies be counted as a feature? - (Yes, there are more zombies)
8. Limit Minute Shop to save your hard earned Gold Credits! (More items are added to the pool!)
9. A 'Gamemaster' Challenge side quest. (Test your luck and skill!)

11. Turn Based Battle + Action Battle System - QTE, Reinforcements, phases...
12. Features about 9 playable characters + Navigator (Navigator?)
13. Exchange/Crafting Shop!
14. Very challenging boss fights.
15. About ??? hours of gameplay (I can't estimate for this, it's done when it's done!)

Death Wave (Progress Update)

In ancient texts, there once existed a rumor detailing the notion that all living entities and souls were part of the very force that brought the cosmos into existence. It follows that if Void is the power that spawned the universe, it's plausible to surmise that all mortal souls will return to the Void upon their passing. - REDACTED

The notion of VR is an interesting one, we've always wondered what it would be like to have a fully immersive metaverse, where all our senses can dive and experience virtual reality. But in reality, virtual reality is just data, and our mind is interfacing with data. Now ponder this, if we are able to digitize our consciousness to dip into the virtual reality, what's stopping us from doing the reverse? What's stopping us from having the information of the world, right here, in our mind? - Ravier Connor

Hi, and welcome to, at this point, a once in a year kind of update. I've made quite a number of progress lately, mostly in the side quests of things, because I realized they need to be pretty much completed before the story can potentially move forward. Since they do not directly spoil the story, I'm more than happy to share my progress on this area. I've also had a bit more time now that my schedule has stabilized, and able to work on the game more consistently.

New Side Story Quests!

The side quests are a trio that can be done in parallel with each other which converges to a finale in Death Wave. The following are the premise for the quests. They are also required to be completed to unlock the post game.

Treant Premise:

During the party's adventures, they will encounter a wildlife scientist residing at Viscaria City who talks about how wildlife has mysteriously disappeared from Quince Forest, and tasks the party with figuring out the cause of this phenomenon. Damien is reminded about the passing remark Isabel made a while back about the rumor of a ‘living walking’ tree that was spotted by a couple of anonymous users on @*Channel. Most have dismissed it as a hoax, but the wildlife scientist claims it isn't. What is causing the wildlife to disappear in Quince Forest?

Angel Fall Premise:

A mysterious drug epidemic has secretly been making its rounds in the country, and the head doctor for Cliva's public health ministry: Dr Hope has tasked the party with identifying and eliminating the root cause of the drug epidemic with Vexed being the primary suspect. Given their alleged law abiding nature, it is unclear if they have a hand in it, and if they do, what could be their purpose, aside from making money?

Death Wave Premise:

During the party's visit to Quince town, they stumbled upon their acquaintance Rinne Scion, the detective they assisted with in solving the murder case and Athena's disappearance together with Dr Louise de la Vallière (eerily similar to a certain historical figure), the Chief Scientist of GMO research for Super Wheat cultivation. Here, the party finds out about a mysterious ailment that has gripped Quince Town, the town where the country's famous ‘Super wheat’ are cultivated.

In their attempts to figure what was causing the mysterious ailment, they stumbled upon an old nuclear reactor plant known as ‘Omega One’ as described by a witness who saw movements in and out of the supposed incomplete nuclear plant. In there, they stumbled upon a ‘living weapon’, a calamity capable of leveling cities…

New areas!

Quince Town:

The town where Death Wave quest takes place: Quince Town. Famous for being the only agricultural-focused town, it produces 'Super wheat', a food touted by Cliva to solve world hunger owing to its locational adaptability with minimal water requirements and short cultivation time. Though many scientists have raised concerns about its genetic homogeneity, Cliva says the tradeoffs are worth it...

Omega One Nuclear Power Plant:

Another new area, Omega One is a nuclear reactor plant that was never completed. It is also part of the Death Wave quest. It is home to many irradiated wildlife, and certain drops can only be found in this area.

Viscaria Sewer Level:

Sewer levels. Yes, some more sewer levels have been added and one notable location is the Viscaria Sewers where it can be accessed directly from Viscaria Entertainment District.

That's all from me for now, there are other things in progress, and new areas to explore - like Meridome Point, which I didn't include here, as it's part of the story and still being fleshed out. I know updates are sparse and few and far between, but I'm still working on it, even if ever so slowly...

If you've read to the end, thank you for taking the time to read through it, I really do appreciate it! Hope you have a great day!

I am glad to hear you loved my review! I just wanna say you did a fabulous job with Revert. So take however time you need, and make sure to take rests! Although, a part of me does wanna say, "Do it now! Finish it by next week! I wanna play the game NOWWW!!!". Hehehe.

About PROBLEM no. 2 & 3 regarding the confusing dialogues, I am not sure how to send over the screenshots. RPGmaker seems to require links, and being the dumb person I am, I have got no idea how to upload the screenshots here from my laptop.
I will search the internet to find if there's a way to upload them here, otherwise I will just email them to you.

Thanks for everything! (And just so you know.....you really made my day too!)
Thank you very much for the review and feedback. I've taken note of the bugs.

The summary will most certainly change, but I'm waiting until I've completed a certain portion of the game before coming back to that to improve on the presentation.

For your second and third point, I'm not exactly sure which line you're referring to. Perhaps you can let me know, and I'll take a look to improve the clarity of the dialogue.

For point 4 and 5, I'll take your feedback into account, but the music has to change unfortunately, due to being blocked.

I'm really happy (you really made my day) to know you had fun and like the game as much as I do, and once again, thanks for taking the time to write a short review.
I finished the demo yesterday! Now, it's review time! Woooh!

The game itself feels pretty nice and smooth. However, the same cannot be said for the battles. The new battle system feels a lot laggy. And personally, it isn't that great looking. I understand the UI is in its early stages in the demo, and I have great expectations for what we will see when the game is finished!

While we are on this topic, let's talk about the new feature in battles, that is "Status Report". It's already looking pretty awesome, but I was wondering if it could be possible to make it accessible all the time. Right now, you can only access it on the "fight" or "escape" screen, that is before choosing what the first character will do. Having to go back and forth just to check what that green book symbol that the enemy is inflicted with is very tedious. of course, this is just a personal suggestion of mine, and not really a matter of great concern haha.

Now the plot. Black Galax is, personally, the best game out there. Whether its battles, or the plot, it's just better than most stuff I have ever played. The game constantly reminds us and the characters what's at stake here. Apparently the whole world cuz that's what the CDE might be after, according to Lilium at least!
I did get a look into what's in store for us in Chapter 9, thanks to a bug already mentioned by others in the comment section here, and it sure as hell looking promising!

I am glad that Raze has been slowly working on this game for the past few years. I am really excited about what new side quests we will be doing and what more they will add on to the plot!

PROBLEMS

(1) The summary of the previous game is very.....weird. Stuff just randomly pops in out of nowhere, usuch as Phantom, or God Hades. Although not necessary, it kight be worth it to have look into the summary and make a few changes. It should be alright even if the summary were to become longer than it is, becuase it is optional to read it.

(2) During Ravier's interview with Athena, Ravier mentioned something about the King's Stone. As Vincent tries to talk, he cuts him off, saying "I have already read your reports". And then start talking about something I have no idea of. Unless they were talking about the dead bodies disappearing? Or mabye the fact they could do weird magic in the Royal Garden?

(3) When Lilium mentions the King's Stone being a Void Stone, the topic of the Outer World gets mentioned. For some, Lilium acts like she knows about the fours agventure in the Outer World. I don't remember Damien and the others ever telling her or Ravier about this.

(4) The slowed down themes are just a big no no for me. They don't sound good at all. I believe there are only two instances where these are used, Vizrel City and one of the fights early on in Valor Academy or the Asylem.

(5) Please don't change the random encouter battle theme. That them has become so like nostalgic or iconic......I don;t really know how to get my point across but Revert's random encounter battle theme was just amazing. A slowed down version of it is used in one the battles early on (as mentioned earlier), and it sounds awful. Please bring the normal version back and use it as the random encounter battle theme. PLEASE!!!

BUGS

(1) The game allows you to head into Lumeni Forest, and then further into the area where Mana was captured by the Black Hands. Once you have entered this area, you cannot leave. However, you can head further into the forest, into the map with the bridge which leads into Lumeni Caves. Follow that pathway to the last section of the Lumeni Caves, right before exiting them into the Flower Valley, and voila! You once again can't exit. The game also won't allow you to leave the flower valley . Finally, there's a radiating circle at the center of the valley where you can put a "Darth Radii". I am assuming that's for future chapters, cuz I don't have that.

(2) The rest of the party won't appear behind Damien in Alcures Town.

(3) The characters faces, health bar, and mana bar won't appear in the equipment section. That place where they are supposed to enter is just empty.

(4) When playing Damien's party and searching Valor Academy, Vincent comments and refuses to let us enter the toilets on any of the levels. He shouldn't appear.

(5)During the final fight, Caron uses "Feather of Despair" which inflicts him with status boosts along with "Medical Seal". Status Report doesn't give any information regarding this.

(6) Finally, the bugs in Pavillion Square and Ravier's Office that make you transition to later chapters.
Thank you for the nice words! I really appreciate it.
I have played some of your games before. I really liked the mechanics but I forgot a lot of what I played now.

The plot is really nice!

Best luck with this! :)
The only difference is where the achievement files are stored. As some players had issues with the game storing them in the 'appdata' folder. The second option keeps everything local. It's also useful for people playing on mobile.

(Also expect a review from me for Revert!

Thank you! Look forward to it.
Hey Raze! I just finished a third playthrough of Revert(second time finishing Chapter 7 and first time Chapter 7.5). I am confused as to what's the difference between the two versions uploaded in the downloads section. I believe I have downloaded the upper one.

(Also expect a review from me for Revert!
Nope. Not completed yet. Still has ways to go.

Then qhen this game complete, can we transfer our save file from BG: Revert like the demo?

It'll be a while before it's completed. It's not recommended to use the current save file you've finished and replay the chapter once it's finished. As some things might change that will mess up your current save.

Want to ask. Is the scene where we go back to ravier's room is the next chapter or chapter 8 part 2?

Nope, it's chapter 9 because I messed up XD

Okay, I've just finished the demo and took me quite long actually. Can't wait for the full version now. But according to the message in the end, the progress made in the demo will 'not' be carried over to the full version. Does this mean we'll have to go through Chapter 8 again? Or will importing the last save file work?

Yeah, unfortunately, you'll need to go through chapter 8 again since it might invite unexpected bugs. So just to be safe, it's better to restart.

I only got 3 hints for the bookcase (5th, 10th, and 14th), I don't know where I can get the 4th hint

The cafeteria.

Am I supposed to pull the books from 4th, 8th and 12th bookshelves or something? Doing that did nothing however. I found 5 shards btw.

Both are correct. The bookcases are: 4,5,8,10,12,14th.
Maybe a better hint in terms of how many books you need to take out would make it more clear.
I'm also stuck at the library part where I'm supposed to "Pull out all the books from multiples of 4 bookshelves". Am I supposed to pull the books from 4th, 8th and 12th bookshelves or something? Doing that did nothing however. I found 5 shards btw.

Hello, I just play your game and its good.
But I got stuck in the cursed academy. How can I get the 7th and 8th shattered shard? I know one of them must've been in the library but I don't know how to open the chest
You get the last two parts from the Library. The Chest can only be opened once you solve which books to remove from the respective bookcase. The locations of all the bookcases that you need to remove can be found around the 3 floors.

If you make a mistake, you will need to reset the puzzle. Interact with the glowing book to reset the puzzle and try again.

Hmm... I found the problem for the first archive event triggering. But Reynard's cutscene shouldn't be happening. Should probably do some investigating...
Thanks for the find!
