Communications are down, the wilds are filled with beasts driven to unnatural levels of aggression, and there's a pervasive feeling that *something* is about to happen. But what, exactly, is going to happen? And how does a city that vanished 2000 years ago play into all this?

Features:

- Build up your team! False Skies features a novel class system, where you layer on new classes as you progress through the game. Tired of a basic fighter? Once the time comes, turn them into a Light Infantry for that extra damage, a Dancer if you're feeling lucky, or a Hexer if you're tired of them being a serious damage dealer at all.

- Everyone can equip everything! Sure, Mages work best with rods, but if push comes to shove there's nothing stopping you from giving your one a sword. They may be useless at using it, but there may be classes out there that excel with weapons you wouldn't expect of them...

- Learned a skill that's a direct upgrade of an older one you already have? If it's part of a skill family, it'll be overwritten, keeping your list of skills relatively tidy!

- Fall in battle? No worries; with a fee, you'll be back at the last save point you used or town you went to. Indeed, there's some cases where falling in battle may lead to new things...

- Well over 200 enemies to encounter
- What is probably far too many dungeons than is reasonable

______________________

What's here is pretty substantial, covering 4 main dungeons, and ends right before you'll be able to actually get your class changes.

Even if you don't buy it, a wishlist/follow would be very appreciated.

There will inevitably be some bugs and other things I'll need to mess with in the future, but the game is feature complete. As usual, get in contact with me if you find any issues.

Man, and here I was thinking it'd get stuck on level 98 for some reason.

Went and threw in a catch to hopefully stop other cases of leveling past level 99.
Heyho Fee_Nicks

Sadly for me it worked... but i have a level 155 havenmaker now so my solo run actually seems possible now =P

Also found sage and heavy gunner already. Moaaar classes. Which i can't change too yet. :( Are those the ones replacing generalist later?

If yes i want them ALL xD Probably

Have a good one.
I would just like to leave a comment, that everyone here should at least try this game, since it has everything that the people visiting this site probably want. It's complete, and competently made. (Feenick, I think that you should add the "Completed" tag.)

It's as long as a typical commercial RPG, and features a lot of value. I vouch for its quality.
Wrote up this game on cohost! Not finished with it yet but so far, this game rules. Anybody who likes oldschool Japanese RPG style games ought to check this thing out.
Oh wow. Thanks for the writeup!

(I should mention that I've fixed the first issue with the non-appearing NPCs in Bran Myr Cave recently. Not sure what sidequest in particular you're talking about with the second one, though; where was it?)
Cephi Palace: Can someone please help me get past this place? I have no idea on how to complete it. I just seem to be going in circles.
It's been about two months since I managed to complete it, but I think the first order of business in Cephi Palace is to free up the bulwark, which is a mobile, three-tier platform that runs through the center of all floors of Cephi Palace. Go all the way to the left, then to the basement, and search around there.

After that, the bulwark can move around. Move it to various positions and the corresponding doors along its vertical axis will open up, giving you access to specific areas across all three floors. If I remember correctly, the goal is to eventually move it all the way to the right, after having hit a certain switch that unlocks a pathway there.
Is there a guide to create good characters? I though the classes had individual levels but if its tied to your char lvl then it's easy to screw up.
@DBAV: There's character levels, and then there's class levels, which contribute to character levels but are counted separately. Only the second one matters when it comes to learning skills.
So there's no way of skipping skills unless you class up early? Since I heard you can't return to early classes.
What about the growths, can you cripple a characters by having it in a bad class for long or are growths a percentage applied to total stats?
EDIT. Sorry for being so annoying with my questions but I'm the type to want to get everything in a game. I hope you are not taking this the wrong way.
You can't skip skills unless you class change early, yes.

As for growths, they're not percentage-based or anything, but you also get a lot of your stats from equipment. Unless you're doing something like swapping from a physical damage class to a healer or something, you'll be alright, as there's enough wiggle room to get away with that sort of stuff.

And don't worry about the questions, they're fine.
Sorry for the late reply but I decided to not play this game some time ago, for a perfectionist your class system is a big demerit, I'd rather have incentives to master every class path rather than demerits. It pains me to let such a good game go but I just can't enjoy it the way you did it.
Where do I go after the Garm palace teleported to the top layer? I forgot what am I supposed to do with the L CARD G and the recall button doesn't help.

Depending on what you've already done, you'll want to either go to one of the places in Garm you didn't go to before the palace teleported, or go to the tower to the southeast.
