Approaching the End: Quick Questionnaire

Well, I'm coming up on to the end of this game. Below is a list of things that I have to finish. I'd estimate my progress to be about 85% done; I'd imagine the finished game to be released sometime early 2013.
Left to do:
- Complete Persiva
- Complete Excate and Final Boss
- Add Legendary Weapons, Relic Monster Accessories, and Mythic Quests
- Finish the Achievement System
- Finish the Onyu Sidequest
- Add Slime Breeder
- Finish the Arena
- Finish Tinymedal Woman
- Make sure initial tinymedals reward the variable.
- Herb Hunting
- Fix Churches (for achievement purposes)
- Finalize all battle animations.
- Determine if Introduction CS needs any revising.
- Bug testing/balancing.
Anyways, my big question is should there be any post-game content? The game is already quite huge - my current playthrough is logged at 47 hours - and that is with me knowing exactly what to do. Should the content be automatically included or require some type of expansion?
If there was post-game content, what would you like it to be? I have two ideas if I was to do anything:
- A daunting "area of trials" similar to the Hell Gate from Tactics Ogre. In Tactics Ogre the Hell Gate was a 100 floor dungeon in which you could acquire excellent treasure.
- Just a Final hard dungeon.
Each of these would reward rare equipment and a new monster recruit.
By the end of the game, I expect the average player to be about level 36. Considering the max level is 50, there is quite a lot of room for endgame content, but the game is, as I've said, already quite long!
Also, would you like to see a monster bestiary? I'm sure I can find a script for it. I never really use them, but they are kind of cool I guess.
Probably by the end of January I will be seeking beta testers for the final version of Legacy of the Lost. Anyways, I appreciate the support of the community - let me know if you think there should be post-game content/bestiary and if you would be interested in testing when the time comes.

If you have the will power, it can't hurt. Playing through bonus dungeons is a hit and miss for me, but most often I will check them out, play through a few levels, and then go back to the rest of the game. Others may wish to play through them in entirety.
I prefer the bonus dungeons if they add more information to the story, backstory, or history of the world, or developing a side story further; this in addition to whatever rewards you get. Dungeons simply there to test mettle, I tend to gloss over. In other words, for me, there's a better chance I'll play through a bonus dungeon if there is something more than simply finding unique treasure.
A Monster Bestiary is always nice, but not needed, so that choice would be up to you.

Thanks for the input!
I feel like most of the questions in terms of the storyline should be answered by the conclusion of the final boss, but I might see if I can tie in some type of relation to the post-game content if I choose to add it.
I had one person suggest adding on to the arena at the end of the game, I think that would work out pretty well.

I am quite happy to see that it is almost done! I look forward to playing it again, and seeing the new challenges that are stored inside. I would ask these three questions:
1) Which monster arena will be stronger the past or the future?
2)I would like to test the final version out as a beta tester again once it's ready.
3) Lastly is there going to be a secret optional boss that's much stronger than the final boss in the Trial area you had in mind? Because it sounds like a nice idea plus I know the perfect place to put it.
Respond when you have time!

I'm thinking it'll be both instances of the arena. I have a cool idea on who could be the final arena combatants for both.

That would be awesome! :)

If I add the trial area, it would most certainly have a stronger boss tied in with it. My current plans was just to place the final dungeon in where the actual final dungeon was in present time.
I'd love to hear your idea for where it could be though!

Responded in bold. Thanks for the reply!
The Room of the Saints in the Great Shrine is the place where it could be. My idea is that a hidden wall opens in the middle of the room there after you defeat the final boss.
Then the spirits of the Saints talks to you.
1st Saint "Heroes who protect the timeline and restore new life upon saving the islands from their demises, and hardships come forth and test your will against this trial, even we could not complete."
2nd Saint "Be wary heroes for what lies ahead shall be your hardest battles, so be on guard if you don't protect yourselves against the darkness you will be consumed by it."
3rd Saint "What lies deep inside this shrine is a unknown evil, and the spell we used to seal it is now being broken as we relay this message onto you it grows closer to being released from our bindings."
4th Saint "Heroes may your courage vanquish this evil from the world you are the only ones who can accomplish this trial!!"
All Saints "The Sealed One awaits... be the light that halts the darkness."
And that's my idea IF you wanted to make the post game dungeon.

I'm a bit late, but here goes.
I adore bestiaries. I'm not even kidding, I love them. So long as it's not something you'd hate doing, I am in full support of that.
I also really like postgame stuff, specifically stuff like as you said, the Hell Gate. A huge place full of lovely treasure.
So yes, both sound like excellent ideas to me and would get me even more psyched.

Thanks for the feedback! :)
I'm out for awhile for the holidays, so hopefully I'll get to work on the project some!
