Progress Report

Combining two demos to make one, with some tweaks. also a progress report

I'm currently combining both Demo 1 of 2 and 2 of 2, so that you would have a choice to choose when you start. Just so you know, I did a few tweaks in the battle system, and added some things to the game map. Here's what I mean:

1) the Characters don't jump anymore when victorious - Since this is supposed to be a serious game, I decided to change that into them just swinging their weapons around.
2) Dash Sound still used - I kept the Dash sound, which makes sense at least.
3) Possibly longer 1st mission time - You will be able to explore a bit of the New Suri, which is still in progress. If you're lost, there are signs in each map. Also, if you can't find the teleport, walk forward and back until you do get transferred.
4) Not all of Suri is complete - There are two Districts that are not there.
5) EXP will not be gain in first mission, still.... - Akiko won't gain any EXP during the Rescue of Cid Shiranui Mission. Or any EXP gained will be lost until you reach Shadowing Forest.
6) Actually find Moon Tsubaki.... again - Moon makes his appearance again. At the same place too.
7) Blank Flash Back - Since I have to draw an actual picture to show you, to keep the size down, I decided to leave it BLANK.

That's basically all there is.

I've made many RPG Projects, one that's released here, others were for fun, but this project takes the cake, and probably ate it too.... what I'm trying to say is:
This game is taking too long to make! Mainly because of my two brothers doing, or finishing, their important stuff. Then again, if I can get all characters introduced in Act I, then I wouldn't have to worry about introducing new characters in the future.

I'm also looking for a couple Testers to see if there's anything wrong with the game, although the story isn't completed yet, that and we're playing on FF Music for now.

Progress Report

Looking at Demo 1 of 2

Alright, I am re looking at Demo 1 of 2. I think I should re-do the opening sequence of that mission. Maybe make an Attack from above behead, he he he!

I tried it, with a couple complications, it turned out good, especially the surprise that she actually jumped from the ceiling! That one could be a keeper. the victory Pose also probably has changed as well. Anyway, The next Demo will replace both of these and combine the two, making it a bigger file, yes, but some glitches.

----Known glitches----
1) when a character defends, he/she floats
2) the other Magics aren't working
3) as of when I re started, the actor going next might/might not continue the attack chain, especially with Magic.
4) The Demonic Humans on F1 of their little den are still a bit slow.

----Arena bugs----
1) Venom remains unchanged
2) There is no Regen, SP Charge, and Auto-Life yet, as if you can use them.
3) Ms. Tsubaki's movement to the arena can make you have to hit F4, then restart the game, I think I've fixed this already.

Announcement

2 Demos released!

There are two demos. The first one is a Mission with Cid and Kado. Although the new storyline is unfinished, the demo starts where the actual game won't. This part may be edited alot due to anyone else doing something like this. (WARNING!!! This demo has a Beheading moment, no blood included.)

The second one is the Arena, and for a Christmas bonus, I gave you Akiko's Spirit Weapon, basically ultimate weapon too. This demo will get edited when Christmas is over.

The New demo is made, but in the beginning of the demo, I might not keep you waiting in one spot for long. Anyway, I'll get that up and running.

Battle System BGM/ME for now:
Blinded By Light (FFXIII)
Glory's Fanfare (FFXIII)

All the MP3 files, that aren't extras, is from Final Fantasy Composers, who joined up to compose music for the games in japan. Since this is Non-commercial, I'll just have to put an intro saying that the music is from the games and Square-Enix.

Also in the demo, you get to choose your Battle Music for the Round in the arena, currently FFVII-FFIX and FFXIII (one of them in the soundtrack). That and you can destroy a Chess Piece using the Tsubaki's Dagger, which is sharp enough to cut a chess piece to 3 pieces. Oh well. when this is in the Downloads Section, you can try the arena portion, until I find a stopping point in the new storyline.

Progress Report

Starting Fresh.... again....

Since Act I was getting too random, that and my head was getting overloaded, I decided to start fresh. Here's what happened.

---Changes, changes, changes as always...---
1. The Cell Phone is gone
2. The IPOD is gone
3. When I complete the game or make another demo, you won't be able to import your data anymore.
4. The Windowskin has changed, and looks more gradient.
5. Last Names of all characters are removed
6. Cid and Kado will soon be battling.
7. Songs from the OSTs, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, and FFXIII (with a battle theme remake) are going to be used, as well as RPGXP and RPGVX's RTP BGMs and stuff.
8. Prepare to see some destruction!
9. the Caterpillar System will return
10. A cursor, along with the rectangle thingy in the windowskin, will help with the commands and choices, like almost ALL FINAL FANTASIES and stuff...
11. Animated Cutscenes and some other stuff are gone too.

---What's going to happen now?---
For starters, I'm taking out all Demos, and Blogs (excluding this one), and possibly some Images, then starting fresh. Besides, I did keep the Arena, and the VP and Shard Storages.

---The beginning will change---
That's right, instead of starting like the demos, you see Akiko rescue her boss, from demonic possessed humans, almost like the Supernatural TV show, only without the black eye thing. And then they will run for their lives. (expect cutted sprites).

---NO MORE FACES IN STATUS MENU?---
Uh huh... no more faces. The generated images make it look like all the girl characters are the same, like they're twins or something.

---Will still draw though---
I will still draw, yes, but it will be Time Consuming, due to college for the rest of the semester, and work to do around my house.

---Guess what? We are UN-PAUSED!---
Head's clear in a day, wow! This project is unpaused due to my idioticness of my head needing a few Destruction.

---Poses and Down Sprites might be needed---
Due to this, right now, only the RTP characters have Down Sprites, you know, 001-Fighter01, and all that. I will try my best to make down sprites, but again.... I might not be that good so patience and help might be needed.
