Gensokyo...a land full of long forgotten creatures and magic. Many a day has gone peacefully in this land separated from the outside world, until one day a mystical artifact known as the Pandora's Box arrives and begins to wreck havoc across the land. If not stopped, then all shall be returned to nothingness. Join Reimu and her friends on a quest to defeat the entities of the Pandora's Box and save their beloved land from the forces of chaos!

This game follows a style similarly to the Final Fantasy series, incorporating a vast amount of abilities, monsters, and ideas from the Final Fantasy universe, while still retaining the Touhou nature of the main series. Various aspects of the Final Fantasy series incorporated into the game includes the Blue Magic system, Gil Toss, Scan, Steal, and Chakra in-battle, a Skill System similar to that found in Final Fantasy II, and the characters playing roles similar to various classes in the Final Fantasy series such as the Black Mage and Knight. However, this game also incorporates ideas from various other series, including Legend of Zelda, Valkyrie Profile, and Super Mario RPG. Players can control up to 4 characters at a time in any given battle, but can have access to as many as 30 playable characters, several of which are optional.

Final Update!!

Howdy all! So, it's been a good long while since I last posted, but at long last, I do believe the game is now finished! 99.99% done, at least, there's still a couple things that I haven't been ABLE to do (still looking for a spriter for a character), and there might still be bugs and glitches here and there, but overall, the game is actually done after nearly 12 years in the works!

Main file: https://rpgmaker.net/games/3758/downloads/10309/
Music: https://rpgmaker.net/games/3758/downloads/10310/

As usual, anyone that is willing to testrun the game for bugs and glitches, feedback, etc. would be highly welcomed! But for now, I will consider the game "DONE". Which...in a way, kinda makes me both very happy and very sad...I don't know how to feel overall.

Played this game so many years ago and it's still in development! Any news on when we expect to play the full version?

The game is 99.5% done. Everything's coded, just needs tested for the final 5 dungeons of the game, and that's about it outside of some other things such as fixing some maps, equipment, and characters, and doing something about the crafting system. I don't know if sidequests will ever be put in like I wanted to do originally, but that'll be something to think about in the future.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

When you put it that way it sounds more like it's about 70% done rofl
Yeah hi, got the game a few days ago and I am worried. I made it to the part where Yuugi goes to clear the rubble near the entrance of the underground, and I can't find her or the rubble she was supposed to clear. Is there something I'm missing, there hasn't been a dedicated walk through since 2013 so I can't check old videos for help.
Yeah, that entrance got moved to the save point by the bridge, north of it. I did that because it was troublesome to have to go alllll the way back to the entrance just for that without any save points in-between.
Ah, I see. Thank you, I was so worried that I had to start all over again after the near forty hours I spent on the game. Oh, wait, if you did that, why didn't the scene with Yuugi and Kisume reflect that such a thing? I followed after the direction Yuugi went, but if she didn't go in that direction why not change the scene to not confuse players?
Oh, she went that way, since that was the direction of where the player needs to go. I probably didn't change the dialogue when I changed things is all.
Hi, it's me again. Something weird happened when I defeated the Yuuka in Mugenkan. It brought me back to the cutscene where Yuuka first enters the dreamworld. when I advanced it, it brought me to an all white screen. Has that problem occurred before? If so, can you tell me how to avoid it/ make it not appear?
What?? To the very beginning of the cutscene? Or does it take you to the field after you beat her and advance the scene?? Because the teleport event there shouldn't be broken...I'll have to check it when I come home tonight.
After the cutscene with Gengetsu it brought me back to the scene where Yuuka is
doing her inner monologue about why she is even involved with the party. When I advanced it to the first map of Mugenkan, it showed an all white screen.
Yeah, that definitely sounds like something got broken then. Maybe the one who fixed the map didn't check the switches. Hmm...

New update to the game! Man, can't believe it's been 2 months since last one. This one fixes a bad cutscene error for Yuuka's story segment, in which after beating the final boss, it would loop to the start due to not setting a switch (this was due to the remapping of Mugenkan and moving the boss's event without its events properly). Other changes include the following:

*Reimu:
*Hakurei Amulet has been buffed in power:
*Level 1: 80 > 160 healing. 4 MP > 8 MP.
*LeVel 2: 200 > 300 healing. 8 MP > 16 MP.
*Level 3: 340 > 540 healing. 12 MP > 24 MP.
*Level 4: 620 > 900 healing. 16 MP > 32 MP.
*Level 5: 940 > 1600 healing. 20 MP > 40 MP.
*Level 6: 1280 > 2500 healing. 25 MP > 50 MP.

*Yumemi: No longer has Bluff command.

*Koishi
*Subterranean Rose:
*Level 1: No changes.
*Level 2: 1000 power > 800 power.
*Level 3: 1400 power > 1050 power.
*Level 4: 1800 power > 1300 power.
*Level 5: 2200 power > 1600 power.

*Andvarinaut: Now only grants +1 Yen per step when equipped by Reimu, and grants Double Yen when equipped by Komachi.
*All chests in Corpse Cave will no longer respawn upon opening them, giving one chance from the random chests.

And that's that! I'm still working on final dungeon, only got 5 more bosses left to test and finish up, and then that's it for the game! Outside of other things like some optional stuff, crafting system (if it stays at all), etc. Getting closer and closer...but will it be done before the end of the year or before the 12th anniversary!? Who knows! \ o /
Question! Do I have to replay the entire game or can I keep my save data? Never mind, I figured it out.
uhh the game does not make any sence if you use rpg maker 2003 4 a touhou game
