Super RMN World is a community collaborative project made in Super Mario Bros. X. It's the 5th game in the Super RMN Bros. line; a series of similar projects that have run on this site over the years.

This event was judged by halibabica, Deckiller, nin8halos, Isrieri, and DarklordKeinor. They oversaw the critique and approval of the stages submitted to the project to ensure a high-quality end result. With 78 levels in total, they certainly had their work cut out for them! But it was all worth it. This episode is leaps and bounds greater than everything in the series prior.

The Plot: As a peace offering for his past misdoings, Eli has constructed an art gallery and presented it to Mario and his friends. The paintings inside shimmer mysteriously; they're almost too real! Eli waits at the end to hear what his guests have to say, but can he really be trusted?

You need Super Mario Bros. X to run this game. If you don't have it, you'll need to download it. When you download this game, unzip it into SMBX's 'Worlds' folder. Run SMBX, click 'Start Game', and you're ready to play!

People still care about this game, right?

Alex Mattson liked Yoshi's Archipelago so much that he took my recommendation to check this out, too. He just started his LP series!

I managed to finally complete the download but it took 2 different sessions to do it. I managed to get about half of it downloaded last Friday & the 2nd half yesterday. It seems the version been switched twice before I started the 2nd download (It was originally Super RMN World_2 last Friday, but yesterday it was Super RMN World_4). That seemed to corrupt the zip file somehow because when I extracted it, it wouldn't copy over any level files that started with letters between F & J. It seemed to exclude certain mp3s as well (Koopa Rave's Gangnam Style mp3 was missing). I'm downloading it again & hopefully it will be fully functional. And thank you for the Lock Box option. Since I couldn't go into some levels, I had trouble getting in through some boss doors, but the lock box saved my ass, so I could at least play the levels that were intact.

I plan on keeping my save file & transferring it to the new folder so I don't lose any progress. Also, I call BS on that statement about Link being able to beat EVERY level. I couldn't beat the boss of Castle of the Dead with him, its damn near impossible! I decided to play as Peach for that one thinking I could just duck, jump & float in onto the boss' platform & just kick shells at him, but realized all you had to do was pick up the shells & throw them upward to hit the blocks underneath him (but that strategy won't last long because you can only 'pop' a block once). I also found something interesting in the Egg Factory level.

In the 2nd area where you ride the clown car, if you're playing as Link & you stab 1 of the Billy Guns a few times, he collects a key. At first I thought "Wow! That's a cleaver way to hide a key!", but realized that there's no keyhole around & that key was never meant to be collected. So far the game is great. There are still a few levels that induce rage, like the Spirit Temple (that moving wall section really hurts my eyes). It looks like my download is fully complete now. When I get home & play through it completely I'll write up a review (by somebody who's actually familiar with SMBX & RMN Bros.).

Yeah, sorry about the download updates. I spot things in the LP's that ought to be fixed, and I go ahead and fix them without any notice.

That's probably the hardest level to beat as Link. If you do an up stab from the higher pipes, you can reach the blocks and bonk Ghoma from below. I wouldn't recommend it, but I have done it before.

That's 'cuz the cannon bases are resprited keys. I forgot to check if he could still collect them. >_<
If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it!

I was wondering where the hell they went when I last played and started buttonmashing to get us dislodged out of the wall (we lost the cannons too and ultimately made it Link's Personal Attack Platform)

The Castle of the Dead level itself wasn't that bad, its just that damn boss is nearly impossible with Link. That upward stab strategy isn't efficient either. And what makes it worse is that the buzzy beetles restrict Gohma's area of movement making him even harder to hit, and the fact that those blocks can only be hit once, making it close to impossible for Link. What should've been done was make some dotted out switch blocks to let Link reach the blocks easier & make the switch block for those blocks only activatable by Link by putting 'Link' ! Blocks around the switch block.

I've already beat him with Peach so it doesn't matter to me anymore. As for the resprited keys, I thought that might've been the case but wasn't too sure though.

I didn't say it was efficient. I said it was possible. More could've been done to make it easier, but I just didn't bother.
This is why we should just ban link in the future.

Second on the no, there, bud; he's useful as HELL against some of these hard bosses in this game. Without him - I'd probably STILL be playing this game.

(Which, judging by my review, wouldn't be such a bad thing. ^^)

That's part of the problem. Link plays so differently from the other characters that he absolutely breaks some levels and is completely useless in others. He can't even pick up objects other than bombs and keys.

He does have his quirks, to be sure. Don't sweat it so much, though, nin8. Next time he's going to be an unlockable character instead of available from the get-go.

My next game is going to be 50 levels of Link in the Clown Car.

I had a feeling that last section in Spirit Temple would be rage-inducing, which is why it's fairly short and the checkpoint is right there. I took a crack at it, but it was so Kaizo that Hali had to revamp it. I love that room in the real Spirit Temple so much -=swoons=-

Not my finest hour by any stretch, but Hali made it serviceable. Though I was pretty happy with the rest of the level ;w;
Just saw the Gangam Style mp3 as I was extracting the game lol can't wait
to see what I'm in for lol everything looks good, really great work
on everyone's hard efforts for this game! :)

Oh hell no! Egg factory with Link in the clown car was a real pain in the ass. And no, Link should never be banned. Yes, he broken-awesome in some levels, but useless in others, thus, he's somewhat balanced. When I get around to it, I plan on making a Link only game, a fan sequel to Zelda 2 so to speak.

Anyway, I got the game fully functional now & decided to start over again despite keeping the save file because I wanted to keep notes on each level & go over the highlights when I do a review for this. I did notice another quirk I forgot to mention. In the intro level, where it describes the switch mushroom (red with ?) & stop-watch/green p-switch, the signs are switched. Just thought I'd point that out. I'm not downloading another copy just for that, I'll fix that myself.

I'd actually say the levels he breaks are outweighed by the levels that are tough for him. He's not an easy character to use.

Remember kids, always test the things you change even if it's something remarkably simple.

*fixed it*

So apparently I WASN'T supposed to jump out of my Clown Copter at this point in the level, because now I am stuck and have to kill myself.

Congrats Hali on making the most hated level in SRW!

OK now what do I do? I can't get the clown copter past this point. Pressing left does nothing.

edit3:
ok pressing down and left will randomly sometimes let you through this passageway.

Man, thank god this level is done with.
welp I got stuck again.

I would have more makerscore If I did things.

Poor Kentistic, getting stuck in levels.
