Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

A Dying Planet's Last Breath

Re-DLing the updated version! (I must say that...yeah, the lag really made my eyebrow twitch) Will gush/comment upon finishing the game. :D

Just a quick question though. Is there a way to play in Window mode?

Yeah, just press F4 while playing. It will switch to windowed. Look forward to hearing your comments!

alt+enter?

...Wow, with all the shenanigans I did, including right-clicking the game on the taskbar, the most basic thing never entered my mind. XDD What is noob moment. 8D

Thanks for the reminder! XD

Neat shortcut. 8D Actually, I've played the first five to ten minutes of the game (stopping after the ship ride from the castle since the lag was getting to me). Lag aside, I'm liking it.
My only nitpick is that the font is a bitch to read at times. Particularly in the prologue.

It's still a great game though.
Shit, sorry guys. I just realized I forgot to add some essential files for version 1.02. Anyway, for those of you who downloaded that version, here they are:

http://rpgmaker.net/users/NicoB/locker/RnHnewmtn1.png
http://rpgmaker.net/users/NicoB/locker/RnHnewmtn2.png
http://rpgmaker.net/users/NicoB/locker/RnHnewmtn3.png
http://rpgmaker.net/users/NicoB/locker/RnHnewmtn4.png

Don't know why, but the locker gets rid of the hyphens, so make sure you save each file as RnH-newmtn-(whatever number it is) and paste them into the Chipset (it will overwrite one file in there, make sure you say yes). Sorry about this guys.

I'm uploading the fixed version 1.03 here now.

having a lot of fun with this, the lyonell dungeon was cool
I've Reached The Winter Temple And So Far Its Great The Game Has Become Much Faster Since The Last Update But It Seems To Get Slower The Longer I Play To The Point That It Becomes Impossible To Play Because Of The Lag.

I Only Have To Shut The Game Down And Restart It To Fix The Problem But It Usually Becomes Slow Right In The Middle Of A Dungeon Where I Can't Save Even The Battles Seem To Get Slower After Awhile Still Forever's End Is A Great Game And Seti Is A Really Funny Character.

I Can't Wait To Play More When I Have Some Free Time.
Thanks man. I'm sorry the lag is still getting to you. I don't know what's causing it to get worse the longer you play. I don't see any reason it should do that.

Also, if you haven't already, make sure you download and paste the files I mentioned in my last post (also in the blog) into the game; after making the changes to the lag, I had forgotten to add them.

I look forward to hearing what you think of the rest of the game!

I agree on that. Probably the only big complaint on my end. Inventory management/sorting is horrid, and there is waaay too much scrolling involved (crafting with the goblin comes to mind *shudder*)
Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I've been doing this project for a long time, and years ago, I didn't really understand the sorting method of RM2k3. I know I need to sort it better, but in order to do that, I'd need to go and change every instance where I used such and such item, which would be extremely difficult and take forever to implement and debug.

@NicoB, how many episodes will FE have?

Probably about three. I originally didn't plan to put out another release until the full version, but seeing as the game is still a ways from completion and people are enjoying it, I will probably put out at least one or two more before the complete version. Each new episode will be cumulative; that is, they will be added on to previous ones. That way, people only have to make one download to play the full game.
@NicoB, ok. Thanks for the reply. :) Haven't really started playing FE yet because I still have loads of RPGs to finish. I'll eventually play through it though. Oh, and I like what I'm seeing so far. :)

Cheers on the game, and the positive reviews. I hope you won't let the negative feedback from other users discourage you from finishing this series. ;)
