Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

Average play time is about 15 to 20 hours.
Okay so I've been playing and damn, I'm impressed. This is a beautiful and thoroughly thought-out game in terms of it's systems and things.

The things that have been irksome, however are:

*Limit breaks replacing attacks has lead to me accidentally using them when I don't want to :( boo.

*Ever since getting into my first battle where a limit break had become available, I have had no sfx whatsoever. Which is a really odd bug, and kinda crappy.

Also I'd love to know how your little upper text boxes work. Is any of it actually text? or all layers of pictures?

Just picture layers for the text box. Sorry about the limit break replacing attack; I ran out of battle command space so I couldn't add on anymore; attack was the only one I could legitimately replace. The sfx bug is a bizarre one, that's for sure. If you exit the game and restart, the sfx will come back. I actually talked with Cherry, and I seem to have it fixed now (in a version I haven't released yet), but now the sound effects don't sound as crisp as before and the BGM randomly cuts off... =_=' It's always something!

And thanks for the praise. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
Hey, just want to let you know that I started playing FE last night and am Impressed with what I'm seeing so far. I don't give a damn if there were a lot of cliches in the intro because you still delivered well and have kept me engrossed. The only problem I've encountered so far is the game lags in certain maps- Elise's Village(1st Mission) and the sewers(Epoch's Grand Escape). I notice that when you're outside the village, the game lags like hell, but when you come inside one of the houses, it runs smoothly again. Also, when I pull the levers for the water level to decrease in the sewers, the game lags the moment you get out of the lever room. I hope that I will not encounter similar problems later on the game... :(

I'm sorry, frost. I wish I knew what was causing this bad lag for some people. From what I can tell, I don't have a whole lot of parallel processes going on at the same time (aside from enemies, but there shouldn't be enough on the screen at the same time to do that). Maybe having a bunch of rain droplets hitting the ground in the village caused it to lag, I don't know. I'm still looking into finding ways to make it better.

By the way, remember if you start lagging really badly when you reach the world map, hit the 2 key. It should help a lot.

@pashberry: Thank you! :D
I've been (re)playing this and it's still generally fun. I have a few issue that others have already pointed out, but I won't parrot them. I haven't gotten back to where I was from the last demo yet, but I did notice something weird that I'd like to point out.

When a character dies...you can still use extracts and stimulants on them. But they're still dead until you use a providence. Is this intentional or did you accidentally mess around with the death condition?

Hmmm, I never made any changes to the death condition. I always thought that was just a default thing of Rm2k3.
@NicoB, the 2 key didn't work. :( Although, restarting the game, somehow, fixed the lag issue on the world map.

You mean it didn't help or didn't do anything? You need to make sure to press the 2 key when there isn't a dialogue box showing. You'll here a confirmation sound (it makes the water animations go away). But if the lag is gone now, then I guess you won't need it.

By number 2, do you mean the one on the numpad?
Hmhhh... It didn't work. Oh well... I'm fine with restarting the game every now and then. :)
Game-stopping bug... warp.dll error. The game crashed when that error popped-up. It happened outside the inn after the Marcellus interrogating the inn keeper for Frederick sequence. Epoch was surrounded by 4 soldiers while Elise was on his back. One of the soldier left the screen and poof... warp.dll error... :(

Edit* Do you think I'm using an outdated version? The folder name is... "Forever's End 2"

Edit 2* Fixed the problem... It seems the version I was using is out-of-date, so i downloaded the new version, which has a folder named,"Forever's End 5," if I'm not mistaken.

Edit 3* Ok... Another game-hindering bug... :(( Extreme lag in a boss battle - Ghandarva against Lee and Goldo, when I use the 'Change Domain' skill. Please help me fix this annoying problem. It's virtually impossible to beat the guy, when it takes 1 or 2 minutes for a single skill execution. :((

Damn...I'm sorry, frost. That battle does have a lot of events going on. I'm working some with Cherry right now to try and figure out methods to decreasing the lag. It's hard for me to test for this though because I don't encounter any of this lag.

If you want, I can send you a save file for just after the battle.
