Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

@NicoB, I guess a save file would do. :) I'm more interested in the story than keeping the items I've collected so far. Btw, will I still get to play Epoch's scenario after that? I chose to go with Lee first.

Edit* Maybe because my PC is an old P4 with 249 MB of RAM, that FE is lagging?

Edit2* You can send the save file to my e-mail add - frostentity@yahoo(dot)com.

Btw, will Forever's End be a 2-part series or longer? Just curious... :))

-Thank you for your efforts in helping me go pass these annoying issues.

Yeah, I guess my game requires a fairly capable PC, which seems kinda ridiculous...Anyway, I've got a better idea. Just put your save file in your locker and I will go ahead and beat that guy for you; that way, you can keep all your stuff and continue right where you left off.
@NicoB, I'll upload it as soon as possible. :)
Thanks for fixing it up! :)

Edit* Screen freezes in my first soul rend upgrade battle using Epoch in the new version. So... I tried importing my save file to the old version of FE and finally got through that nasty screen freeze. Just wanted to let you know. :)

Minor Bug

Because they couldn't fit it through the door. :P
I seem to have come across a bit of a predicament. I noticed after I inserted 6 gaia shards in a crystal I found in the woods before the Manor that my Attack and Defense on the main protagonist had permanently changed to 999. Whether this is a graphical bug or an actual stat bug I am not sure.

On a side note I love the nod to Balmug Cycle.

Also the Wild Arms music was epic
@NicoB, damn man! Hell, that was ecstatic! I just finished playing it a while ago, and I absolutely can not wait for the sequel! I know I asked you a lot of times already, but you really never gave a clear answer... When's the sequel coming out? A few months from now, or possibly, a few years from now? Either way, take your time and don't rush. :) I'm looking forward to the next release. ;)

PS Might give this a review if I'm less busy. :) And, since I'm writing it, it's gonna be short. :)) Haven't really tried writing reviews yet.
*Double post... Sorry... Stupid internet... :(

Hey thanks, frost! Glad to hear you enjoyed it; and thanks for giving it a chance even though you struggled a bit with lag.

Not exactly sure when Episode 2 will come out, but I'd guess a few months to a year probably. Now that the general character systems have been set, I should move forward a lot faster. Also, I've already had a lot of help with mapping (big thanks to Ultima187), so it should move along fairly quickly. And I've got a lot of free time this summer (at least until I find I solid job). I will keep you posted! :D
@NicoB, I'm used to playing through lag... :( lol. I think I played through Fable even though it lagged, a lot. Btw, I think the ones who gave FE low review scores due to lag had an old version of the game, like me. :) To remedy the problem, you simply have to download the new version and the lag in certain areas would disappear. Also, if you encounter any lag problems with boss battles, you simply have to transfer your save file to the old version and beat the boss there. There was this one time, whem my screen just freezes up and I have to restart the computer. That happened in my very first soul rend upgrade with Epoch. So... In a desperate attempt, I transfered my save file to the old version and this game-stopping lag just disappeared. If I hadn't discovered that, I may have never finished your game. :)

Versions Used(Folder Name):
Forever's End 2 < Old Version
Forever's End 5 < New Version

PS Sorry for the bold text. I just wanted people to notice, if they ever encounter similar problems. It's up to them if they're patient enough to switch versions every single time they encounter lag/bugs. :)
Yeah, but I really shouldn't expect people to do that. I'm still working to figure out a way to help out those people with bad lag. Hopefully, I'll get it figured out.
Just wanted to let people, who are patient enough, know. :) I mean, there might be someone out there, like me, who wants to finish the game in any means necessary. ;)

Yeah, thanks for the tips. It's strange though; the lag happens for some and not for others, and it doesn't seem to be based any on how powerful your computer is (my laptop is 5 years old and is far from powerful, and yet I don't have problems). I don't know, maybe not installing the font or something? Did you install the font?
No, I did not install the font. For me; text is text. lol. :)

I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is. My machine is 64-bit Windows 7. Could it be a problem with 64-bit machines? You might consider making a blog post to poll people who experience lag and ask for their system specs to see if you can find a pattern.

EDIT: Also, I did install the font.

Maybe so...that'd be really strange though. Frost, do you know your specs?
