Love the basic RPG mechanics but tired of saving the World? How about Conquering it? Well I'm happy to tell you that's pretty much what Flip Dimensions is about. However, In order to get your hands on the world you live in, you must travel across the multi verse fighting other Dark Lords and prove you are the strongest of the all!

Kazuki is a dark lord who wants to conquer the kingdom of Theiweth, but all his dreams are crushed when a farm boy from a forest village with no combat experience whatsoever destroys all of Kazuki’s evil dreams (Don’t you hate it when that happens?). With help from his right hand butler, Minori, Kazuki was able to escape his castle to live another day. Upon hearing about a legendary item that can grant wishes, Kazuki sets out to look for it still with the evil eyes bent on conquering the world... Only to later find out that the path to his wish may not be worth the effort and that the world he lives in may not be what it seems...

Features
-20+ hours of gameplay.
-Eight worlds, each with their own unique theme.
-Resource-manage physical attacks with a unique TP system.
-Extra endings available through New Game Plus.

Minor Update and Request

I have recently updated the download link with a new version of the game, nothing special, it's just that I saw my brother play through the game and noticed a handful of bugs and typos that needed to be fixed.

That was about two months ago. I don't remember what most of those specific changes are, unfortunately.

I also streamlined the download page. No more patches or a non-RTP version of the game. I feel like a 600 MB file is a much less tedious download in 2024 that it was in 2016.

But the reason I'm making this post was because I considering making a Definitive Edition version of the game, a port to MZ that could feel more complete as a product that properly concludes some plot threads that I was intentionally (and naively) saving for a sequel.

This version of the game would be it's own page. If it were to exist, I don't want it to replace this version of the game. So I figured I might as well make more drastic changes such as revamping elements of the combat and dungeons. I've been working with some friends on a design documents of sorts that details a lot of the changes I have in mind, but I would also request that anyone currently reading this who has played the game and has their experience fresh enough in mind to make any suggestions of what they would personally like to see, or things they don't want to change. The goal isn't to adhere to all this requests, but to consider them so I don't end up releasing a version of the game that feels alien to the original.

Thank you for your time,
Seacliff

Not a bug, but I'm lost as fuck on the Pirate's Island jungle, even after getting the Dash Boots (I know how to use them, that isn't the problem). I know this is supposed to be a place for reporting glitches, not requesting help, but I didn't know where else to ask.

This is the general board. Feel free to mention anything related to the game here.

You need to get on the higher ground using the vines in the North-Eastern side of the jungle. Once there, it should be a straight line to the boss.

Looking at the map, maybe it's a bit too hidden. Here's a pic showing how to proceed.

I think I'll replace the vines with rope ladders in the next update.
lol, yeah I did manage to figure that out on my own, but I think changing it really would help. I thought it was decoration for the longest time.
SPOILERS!

Actually, it's pretty simple. I started NG+ and almost immediately went to the dark crystal out of curiosity. No one told me that I was buying myself a ticket to Final Bossville, but hey, dem's the breaks. Either way, I managed to beat him and get Ending 3, but thing is I saved as soon as I got there.

To keep it short, I want out. Anyway to get back to Theweith or do I gotta beat the final boss again and open another save for a new New Game plus?

I can PM you a NG+ save a file.
I really enjoyed this game a lot. I think it's really well done for one of your first RPG Maker games, good job with the development. The story was really catching and enjoyable because of the characters, there was a lot of humour and points that made me laugh at how and what the characters were saying and doing/interacting.

Unfortunately, I didn't quite complete it to the end, the last dungeon, from memory I think the water levels could raise with switches, the real last dungeon where you return to that area, I struggled with it and I also didn't enjoy the second visit to the new dungeon in the techi robot world either, but did complete that one.

The robot dungeon was difficult to avoid the enemies and it was one fight after another, but otherwise good. The water level raising switches puzzle I find very difficult. Overall the game is really good though.

But I do hope to return to the game and complete it fully one day.
I finished the game its really well made I can't believe this is your first time making a game though well done. I got a question is new+ worth playing or will it be harder?

Outside the Dungeon in Sineba and the Final Dungeon, none of the Chapter 8 dungeons are actually required. You'll only miss a couple scenes related to the characters you weren't able to recruit.

Only thing new in New Game + is a few silly 'what-if' scenes by beating the final boss early. And I would say only two of them adds anything to the plot if at all.
Looks pretty neat, the plot is solid. I'm curious how far you'll go with this kind of story. Downloaded and subscribed!
Statistically, what's the difference between all the difficulty levels? I feel like enemies are dealing slightly more damage on the lowest difficulty (-1) than the highest (1). Just to be sure, you didn't accidentally reverse all the difficulty settings?

Edit: I tested the Ogre boss on all three modes and the damage he dishes and takes is about the same on every difficulty. I think the difficulty slider isn't actually doing anything and that the game is always stuck on normal mode.

The difficult levels is a % modifier. It barely does anything at earlier points in the game because the numbers are so small, especially since most attacks have a 20% variance.

It should be 80% on easy, 100% on normal, and 120% on hard. So the Ogre's 40 strength just becomes 48 on hard mode. However, end game enemies have a Strength stat of 420, which becomes 504 on hard mode.

Edit: I just talked with a friend who also claimed there was no noticable difference between modes even at later points in the game. I'll look into it. A new update with other polishing touches is overdue anyways.

Edit 2: Yup. You were right. I failed to tie the difficulty slider to anything. I'll upload a new version of the game tomorrow.

Do you have the VX Ace RTP?
If not, download the version that includes the RTP.

I did download the version with RTP. The start menu comes out okay but when I hit the start, the game gives the above mentioned error and closes.

Dungeon_A1.png is a part of the RTP. Since the images are encrypted, there's no way I can remove it from the RTP-Included file after exporting the game.

I'll try asking around to see if anyone else has the issue with the RTP_Included version. But Dungeon_A1 is the first piece of RTP that used in the game, so it would be the first error you would get if you try to run the No_RTP version without RTP.

Okay, I downloaded VX Ace RTP separately and copied the files from the original RTP folder into the game's Graphics folder and the game began to run normally. I think my pc did not acknowledge that the Graphics files were there since the Graphics folder had only Animations sub-folder. Might be due to encryption.
Uh, I'm at Chapter 8 but I can't find the Nephilim village ruins. Also for some reason, no music is playing on the background. The other sounds play okay though. Right. I had to press F1 and enable the BGM and ME sounds, which was disabled.
I am struggling to understand the Tower of Infinity. I seem to be going round in circles and cannot find a way up from the 4th floor with the fire plates. I have found a circle between 2 totem poles but this leads me back down. Can anyone help me.

You use the teleporter to bring the flames that you used to open the door on the 3rd floor back up.
Thanks, got there in the end, and beat the boss.
